As a collector of Kings Island memorabilia, I had no idea that the park sold SOB bolts on their website. I must find one!!!

Congo Falls will always have a special place in my memory! When I was 16 my extended family all came to Kings Island on a Saturday in July and it was HOT and crowded. There was no line for Congo Falls for some reason so we all piled on that boat and rode it over and over again. That was back in the days when if no one was in line the ride ops would let you just keep riding. I bet we rode it 6 or 8 times in a row and were completely soaked. Of course, that led to some serious chaffing....

When they first introduced those "front of the line" spin wheels, I believe it was only $2 to play and if you won you got two front of the line passes to any ride in the park. My daughter's friend came with us once and she won three times in a row. If you didn't win the passes I believe the other spots were for things like 10% off your purchase in various stores inside the park.

Kind of off topic, but I wonder how often Google updates Google Earth? Son of Beast was torn down in 2012 and it's still on the map. On topic, thank you for the write up. Seems like he was just a young guy who maybe didn't appreciate how dangerous those big cats can be and paid for it with his life. Such a tragedy.

Planning on going to the park on Sunday, my wife and daughter can't wait and I am looking forward to it as well! I am planning on buying one of the $10 The Beast hot chocolate mugs. Can anyone tell me if that is the refillable mug that they have been advertising?

Anyone know why they will not let you re-enter the park after 7:00?

We stopped in to eat and saw that the Adventure Express line was spilling out into the walkway. That was a sign that today was not for us. Foot service was good though, seemed to have extra staff.

Yeah that is true. Just amazed me that people are so negative and are impossible to please. You get your fair share to be sure. Especially on political or hot button issues. That's kind of why I am always so surprised at the vitriol that some people spew on the posts. Someone today was complaining that Kings Island didn't have a daycare! Right? If people hate the park so much then why do they even follow the page? I think some people have way too much time on their hands.

I follow Kings Island's official Facebook page and it has gotten to the point where I cringe when I see one of their posts. Not due to the content of the posts but due to the comments on the posts. People amaze me with the things they say on Facebook. I guess I shouldn't be surprised but sometimes I can't help myself and just have to chime in. Anyone else follow them on FB and see what I'm talking about?

We are heading up to the park later this afternoon. Is it as crowded as I anticipated it would be today? I'm thinking full parking lot. But my wife loves fireworks so I'm happy to join the crowd!

Not a ride op, but a lady working at the Fun Pix in the Banshee gift shop commented on my Paramount's Kings Island shirt: "Awesome shirt! Paramount, I sure do miss those days. Wait, I probably shouldn't have said that."

On an unrelated note, I finally found a vintage Paramount's Kings Island shirt so if you are waiting in line and notice a guy wearing a very colorful PKI shirt, say hi!

Pretty crowded today. Mystic Timbers is over an hour wait.

My wife and I were just talking about this and we wondered why they no longer allow guests this option. Can you shed some light as to why the change was made?

I was waiting in line at Delirium and as the riders were waiting for the restraints to lift I heard one of them (age 15 or so) use some colorful language. Apparently the ride op heard him as well because she yelled "Watch your language. Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?". The kid was speechless so I guess it worked!

On Preview Night we were in line for Mystic Timbers and some idiot teenage girl decided she didn't want the fan blowing on her so she jumped the rail and opened up the back of the fan and started messing around pushing buttons or whatever until the fan stopped blowing. I kept thinking that she was either going to get shocked or cause a power outage like this one!

I did finally get to ride and it was AMAZING! Going to be a favorite for sure. Love the speed and how it is just relentless the entire ride. Obviously a different ride than something like Diamondback but a great addition to the park.

I'm coming up on the four hour mark. I sure hope they let me ride! Is there a hard cut off time when they simply close up shop?

Been in line for Mystic Timbers for 2.5 hours. Aaaaannnd they just announced that they are having "technical difficulties" and they do not know how long it will take to repair. Awesome.

Ok great thanks for the info. I was hoping to avoid having to go through the processing on Friday as I am betting it would take a while to get through that line.

What was the process to switch it over? Did you do it online?

Tried searching for this topic but I am on my phone so I may have missed it. I renewed my gold passes last last October and added the season long unlimited refill cup. Since then the park has introduced the free refill wristbands and I would much rather use that option. Does anyone know if they will let me switch to the wristband?
