Drop Tower Mechanics
I think I can ride it now. Thanks.

X Base
You make it sound like simply because the emphasis isn't on theming, that KI will let Xbase turn into a Venture Bros. style Biosphere. They keep adding little things, and sometimes big things, allover the park on a regular basis. I suspect to wake up one morning to an Xbase improvement scheme any day now, with little Martian bathrooms and everything. As it is, with the Hangar and the Dinos, it looks like a time machine gone whack.

Starting to Decode 2014
Yeh, obviously the guy has never been on Lake Cumberland on a pontoon boat with a gaggle of old aunts. I'd rather not Don tell us, I like the speculation. I think I'm going to be happy with whatever it ends up being, compared to some of the downright scary ideas I'm seeing on this board. When I go to the Haunt, I'd like it to be just like when I first saw the Diamondback. I want to see the construction arcing into the night sky, and a smiling construction worker, hands on hips, standing near a miniature model of the coaster he's building.

Well played Don, well played. My sister used to insist the KI Campground was haunted, though she used to go there with the kids every third weekend.

Adventure Express Evacuated
I do hate these little "People had to wait, then walk down the stairs" stories. There was no news because the ride stopped- cars didn't crash pell mell into each other because of the fifteen minute wait and evacuation. This isn't news, it's a safety feature operating as it should. You'd think the journalist would be amazed every time an elevator door closes properly.

Old Lakeside Park Dayton, OH
I know Thrill Biscuit had the same thought I did. "Midway hawkers calling "Try your luck with me" A merry go round wheezing same old melody-" What a great thing to share time and memories with your grandpa. I love parks like that. I'm sure he'll remember more after seeing some of the information you've found on the net.

Larosas different at the park?
Larosa's on a Saturday night and cold Larosa's Sunday morning when I went to college. I prefer outside of the park, I think the mass production of the pizza in the park has it's limitations.

Someone here mentioned Verbolten, or at least it's inside/outside design. That would be swell. I hear it drops 15 feet. Has anyone here ever rode it?

Ed Alonzo psycho circus 2
I, too, take issue with clowns. There were none last year, just a little duck I. A VW. I would suspect there would be none this year, either- even though it's a carnival theme. The emphasis seems to be on attractive women.

Kings Islands Latest Attraction
This is great advertising. Having worked a lot of "Taste of..." events in the past, this truck, if featured at seasonal events, is an interactive billboard for the park.

Kings Island & Miami Valley Railroad
Bum deal. It's a cute ride for a break. My dad always had to ride it when we went,

I agree. I third that. Doesn't anyone else think inverts are outdated? And head swirlers? Invertigo is always the last ride of the night for me for that reason. With my head at the axis of the spin, I get really dizzy.

Who said it has to be Unique? As long as its new and shiny it will get peoples attention. Ki people, I think, expect unique. It's built into the landscape, at least the older park goers. There was a post here a few days earlier asking what was so special about FOF- not realizing how different the ride was when it first premiered. We are a prototype peoples. It seems as if we're not being guinea pigs, the ride ain't much.

weight restriction?
I am always reminded of that poor man who fell out of the Superman ride in New Jersey. The bar didn't go all the way and he was flung out towards the end. The person I really feel sorry for is the patron behind him that held onto his suspenders the best they could.

Shillito's, Terpy? We are getting old.

Disneyland arrest: Employee arrested after dry ice explosion
Why would I bring a gun to the park? There's security there. They have guns. It's not like villainous rogues are going to descend on the park en masse, like in Ralphie Parker's daydreams. If you live in such a bad part of town that you need a gun to enter and exit your home, then leave the gun in the car safe or the locked glovebox.

I suspect that, like me, 99% of the posters are just having fun with the excitement of something new being built.

Can you get a picture of the "No Camping " sign?Ooh- or Mothman! You might be onto something with the crypto theme, what with so many KI Rides being named after animals. Thanks for the "No Camping" sign. (Still hoping for a pterodactyl with a Jonny Quest soundtrack, though.)

For some stupid reason, I often accidentally call it "Whiplash".

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't WANT the SOB station to be part of anything on the new ride. It just creates a feeling of ickiness, like having your fencing touch the property of those awful neighbors that have bugs. I'd love the entire Action Zone to be revamped. It's always the last place I go to on a visit, after I've ridden all the other rides. It's just not very inviting. If not for the Haunts there, I'd forget to veer toads it.

Your KI Diet
Usually potato works or funnel cake. If I'm there all day, Chik-fil-a.

Riders stuck on Beast for 10 minutes...
I kinda like the idea of being safe in a chair and viewing the scenery from the second lift hill.
-
The Entrance to The Beast (Bring Your Camera)
I did like the heavily wooded area. It did give a different feel to the ride, made it slightly creepier.
