  1. The coaster in question: A 42 ft drop, slow pace. It looks like this is designed for children. It takes a special kind of person to complain about this.
  2. While going through the calendar and marking these dates, I noticed that all but the first one are on a Thursday night. It seems strange that Kings Island wouldn't host these on Fridays or Saturdays, when a majority of people don't have to get up for work the next morning. Because of these dates, I unfortunately am not sure if I will be able to make it to any of these this year.
  3. The retail space is an very interesting/exciting concept. Is a setup like that currently being done anywhere else?
  4. That test run looks beautiful. I can't wait! https://www.instagram.com/p/BDbWd8IulAH/ (link)
  5. I find it interesting that Cedar Fair is choosing to use animals of any kind in their shows. Especially with what is happening elsewhere in the industry...
  6. Soak City. I know that they are adding some attractions there this year, but there is so much room for improvement over there. There is a long way to go to make them a fun option in my eyes.
  7. I'm still waiting to hear about the green Intamin track...
  8. I couldn't decide a single favorite moment out the following group, so here they are: The Voyage's spaghetti bowl turnaround sequence Maverick's sequence from the first drop through the first airtime hill Magnum XL-200's 3rd hill Top Thrill Dragster's launch
  9. I have only experienced Holiday World's Dodgem once before and did find myself in frequent "logjams." I will have to give it a few more rounds though!
  10. I really hope that the new Dodgem cars don't change the ride experience. Those are by far the best set of Dodgems I have experienced.
  11. I got Vortex as well. It looks as if that seems to be the vast majority here.
  12. The story of this nightmare has finally ended. Shoot The Rapids is a big investment that just flat-out failed. The headaches must not have been worth it any more- not to mention the ride itself was very bland. I'm interested see what they have planned.
  13. Awesome read. I also never got to experience the ride as Tomb Raider: The Ride. Just The Crypt. It is second on my list of former rides that I wish I could have experienced (SOB).
  14. I also have a confirmed trip to Carowinds this summer and am looking for lodging/dining suggestions! Like the OP- looking for affordable, clean, and safe.
  15. I would honestly pay the fee just to hear Mr. Speigel speak for a few hours. Everything else is icing on the cake.
  16. I am very excited to visit KK this year. A $60 season pass can't be beat, and I need RMC in my life.
  17. Reds HOF Grille has been a staple for me on my visits. The food there has been fantastic every time I go. Their fried pickles are phenomenal.
  18. I just signed up and I can't wait. It was an excellent event last year, and I expect this year won't disappoint!
  19. According to Twitter, all positions will be above minimum wage. I believe I once read on here that minimum wage pay leads to minimum wage talent and service. It is good to see that they are trying to change that. https://twitter.com/KingsIslandJobs/status/689483403712827394
  20. I think that if these headsets were properly cleansed and maintained before and after each use, this could be really cool. I would love to try something like this.
  21. Based on that list, it doesn't look like Cedar Fair is spending a whole lot this year. I'm wondering if the Carowinds mass-expansion has something to do with that. Or if they are saving for future investments....
  22. Has it always been this drastic? Closing at 8:00 during the second week of August seems to be a bit of a stretch to me. I'm wondering if the local schools are starting earlier this year.
  23. It seems to me that nearly the entire month of August is being under-utilized. Have they always closed at 8:00 that early in the season? And ended daily operation that early in the season as well? I don't know if it has always been this way or if it is a recent change, but that seems rather inefficient to cap the operating hours of such a potentially profitable time...
  24. Good to see a post from you, Jr. Hope all is well!
