Ohio senator's proposed legislation could add 38 days to school year
My parents are both teachers, and their school district already attends for about an hour per day over the minimum. I think my dad said that it totals to something like 23 extra days, but that might be wrong. My point is here is that in some school districts this proposed change might not be as drastic, in terms of scheduling, as you might think.

Canada's Wonderland Stabbing
Does anybody who has been to Canada's Wonderland care to describe their parking lot situation/setup? The article on the Toronto Sun website says that it was near Jane St. and Rutherford Rd. so where would that be? I haven't been there, so I am trying to understand the area a little bit.

Canada's Wonderland Stabbing
I would imagine that it is because the people who have gold passes for years will flip out when they realize that it is gone and that they now have to pay almost twice as much for the same benefits at their local park. The number of people who would be very upset about that is probably pretty high...

Current wait times
I know it will be pretty full on Saturday, and I know it is basically impossible to predict these things, but do any of you have any predictions as to what the lines will look like this Saturday (25th)? Anybody who has been the last few Saturdays, your input would be appreciated.

Kentucky Kingdom
There isn't much that looks better for a park than a lawsuit against their guests.

2014 Incidents
And don't forget the multiple times Banshee made the news for being stuck on the lift hill!

Best Seats?
The back car on The Bat gets me every time on the first drop.

Random Questions
Diamondback and Other (Flight of Fear) for the first two. I actually struggled with the third question. In the past, I would have said Rivertown every time you asked, but with Banshee and all of the other upgrades to Action Zone, I really had to think. I guess this is the first time I have thought about it since the Action Zone refurbishment... I ended up going with Action Zone.

Favorite Haunt? (2014)
I know there is already a thread out there for scariest haunt, but which one was your favorite? To me, scares aren't the only thing that determine a haunt's quality, so in terms of overall atmosphere, scares, theme, or anything else you can think of, what did you enjoy the most? This includes both mazes and scare zones.

Idiots At Halloween Haunt
I think the best part of that video is the girl instantly going for the selfie.

PKI Newsletter #15
My question is, Terp, how do you remember/find all of these old threads from so long ago? Either you have quite a memory or are part robot

Busch Gardens does away with severed head display
That just seems so excessive... just, why? What do people find entertaining about that?

Vortex to be retired soon?
It is amazing how much you realize you grow over such a small period of time. When I saw my original posts in here I had to laugh at myself a little bit.

What are some of the tamer mazes at HH?
I usually tell people that I think Carnevil is the tamest haunt if they ask what to start with. It is a very good combination of fun and scares for a first-timer!

Kentucky Kingdom
Could an argument be made for closing earlier in the season after seeing the SFA incident this weekend? KK, from what I have seen on here, has a bit of a past when it comes to attracting a rougher crowd and being in a not-so-nice area. That could be why a "boo-fest" event was avoided altogether, right?

silver2005's trip report thread
I'm glad you enjoyed your trip, and I'm especially glad that the respectful majority of the fan-base was able to shine through for you and the band. I was at the Skull Session, so I did get to see/hear some of the UC band. It was different to hear wind instruments and percussion other than the drumline stuff because I am used to the OSU band's style. Your twirlers are very good! And who doesn't love a Billy Joel tribute? I didn't stay after the game to watch the on-field performance though. Also, the attendance record was probably broken because they added about 1500 seats to the stadium this year. I suspect that the record will be broken again on November 29th. Although it is not as big as the Superdome in New Orleans, it does seat about 30,000 more people. (Also, if I botched some of the terminology regarding the band please forgive me- I don't know much about this stuff!)

Odd Issue With Vortex
That is what I tell people when we go on Vortex. "Row 9 is the smoothest, but row 13 is the most fun." Whatever they choose from there is what I roll with.

Chester Park, Cincinnati, OH
Chester Park's coaster-ish ride, The Tickler, looked like a Plinko board. http://www.cincinnativiews.net/images-4/Chester-1909.jpg

I would say that they are different. It should be a totally new ride experience now.

Magenta Lizard's first Haunt
This x100. Not just Adventure Express, but so many others. There is so much attention to detail during haunt, and I do love it, but I would love to see that intense of a focus on detail on rides as well!

Tony Clark: "major announcement on 9/2 at high noon"
I wouldn't mind something put in that little flat dirt area... trees, theme stuff, even just a stray rock or two. That patch of dirt is difficult on the eyes.

Walt Disney World Resort announces "Frozen" ride for EPCOT
As long as it isn't narrated by Chris Collinsworth... that dude should never set foot near a microphone again.

Tony Clark: "major announcement on 9/2 at high noon"
The Lakeside Pavilion looks like a fantastic addition as well. And now I also want to stay at Hotel Breakers sometime. Little things make big differences. I'm glad to see them utilizing the beautiful waterfront.
