Errors on VisitKingsIsland.com
The internet isn't a toy?! You just ruined my nice relaxing evening having fun playing around on the internet, lol. But seriously, it does make me sad that when I look at the website, it makes me feel like it looks like they don't really care. I'm just hoping that it is out of date because CF may be working on a much better unified system, just maybe. That would make me happy as it would others I'm certain.

HH on Sundays
Honestly even though the mazes weren't what I expected, I'm going back next weekend just so I can ride to my hearts content. I love it when guests interact with me (unless of course, they're being rude). It actually helps my performance. There's been many times when a guest will respond to me, I'll say something back, and then I'll incorporate that into my regular rotation of lines. Then there's been 2 or 3 times where a guest will say something so great, I'm left speechless, without a response. Those are the truly fun ones. Haha okay good, I messed with a couple last night but I felt kind of bad afterwards, lol.

Have you noticed?
I figured that was the case.. its just a shame how last year it wasn't an issue and this year it is.

Have you noticed?
In the net under Diamondback's lift hill there had been a skeleton with a snake entangled in it. But it wasn't there this weekend. Shame too it was kinda funny. I also noticed that The Grim Reaper's to-do list was censored.. whats up with that?

HH on Sundays
My friends and I went to HH last night and we noticed that the park felt understaffed. Is HH an issue for them on sundays? I know when we went through many of the mazes there was a lot of empty space... like something was missing. For example.. when we went through Tombstone Territory there were a total of 3 Scare Actors along the trail. I'm assuming thats not normal.. right? They also closed corn stalkers early and a few of the rides it looked like. Also I think I only saw 6-8 Scare Actors walking around outside of the mazes. But other than that it was a blast, no lines for the rides.. walk on for pretty much everything the whole night. My friend and I ended up riding Flight Deck totally alone, (poor, poor underloved coaster) and of course it was bitter cold best time ever to ride The Beast. Oh and a question for you Scare Actors out there. Do you guys like it when guests interact with you? Like if you were staring someone down and they just stared back, or if like say you asked someone a question and they come back with a witty response? Obviously without being rude..?

Guests Say The Darnest Things
Well someone did die as a result of the injuries suffered while riding SOB..... so technically someone did die because of the ride, pre-existing injuries or not.... I'm fully aware of that.. thus why I said on Son of Beast.. and so did the kid. To most people, general public, to die because of a ride is closely regarded as dieing on the ride. I made this argument before that if you suffer from severe injuries in a car accident and die at the hospital you are dead because of the accident and some will assume you died in the accident..... I guess the difference is that in one case you are DOA (dead on arrival) and DAS (Dead at Scene)..... Hey I am just doing my best to help keep everyone on the up and up Meh, its all semantics. It doesn't change the fact that he said more than 20 people died on it. lol

Guests Say The Darnest Things
Yesterday as my friend and I were walking to flight deck a family was walking back and the mother stopped and pointed at SOB and asked her son what it is. He said, "OH, thats just the Son of Beast. They are going to tear it down because 20 or so people died on it." So as I was walking by I said, "Be careful of what you say.. no one has died on Son of Beast, but nice try thanks for playing." and just kept walking. The boys dad bust out laughing and told his kid to stop spreading horrible rumors. lol.

Kings Island To Get A Starlight Experience?
Personally I think it is needed, specifically in the gardens. During the months the gardens aren't used they are an area of the park that is very neglected. When I walked through it during the middle of the season there was trash in what I think was once the waterfall, collapsing fake rocks, graffiti, broken gates and fences, and just plain filth. I've only been to Cedar Point once.. and its clear that neglect is not something the park takes lightly, hopefully that will transfer onto the once beautiful gardens, and maybe a Starlight Experience may be just what the doctor ordered. Just my opinion though.

Help, season pass got stolen!
Thanks Terpy, they told me that when I got there lol the problem is the idiot took a wallet that had next to nothing in it, so I don't want to waste my time with a police report. They told me that I get three free passes, only problem is I'm going back at least 7 times in the next month (yes I need help) so I ended up shelling out an extra 15 bucks to get a new one made. (I think that is very ridiculous considering how much one of those cards costs) Oh and for the gold pass, I would absolutely love to take that offer up, but I want to invest in a platinum pass again for next season and right now I can't afford that and the 7 visits back, haha. O yea the Island of Kings!!! Haha thats right! Thats my phrase, I'm going to copyright it or something.

Help, season pass got stolen!
Thank you so much. I figured I would be able to do something.. just wasn't sure how easy/hard it was going to be. But I am relieved that is for sure! And off to the island I go. Thanks again. Oh and PS.. i'm the girl that added you on facebook recently.

Help, season pass got stolen!
So my purse was riffled through at work last night and someone took my wallet. Thankfully all that was in it was like two bucks, my season pass, and my ID. I tried calling KI but obviously they aren't open. What do I do?! Lol, I am kind of freaking out about it at this point, I leave in an hour to drive to the park (two hour drive), and I don't want to get there and have them tell me that I am S.O.L. Is it possible to get a new pass? Do I have to go to the season pass office to get a new one, or is there a way to just look me up at the gate? (don't want to wait in the ridiculous renewal line if I don't have to) Please help me, Hopefully someone will see this in the next hour before I leave. thanks

Halloween Haunt Dates and Hours (more info)
Ah, see I did not know that. I totally agree, it seems very convoluted.

Halloween Haunt Dates and Hours (more info)
For your first question, read post 1 of this very thread... I did read the first post. Thats what I was asking about.. where did they get that information from? Is there an official statement from KI that says that? I thought that since I said, "where is everyone getting the information" that it was implied that I meant post 1 as well.

Halloween Haunt Dates and Hours (more info)
So, where is everyone getting the information about the park closing for an hour? Is Howl-O-Fest the kid friendly halloween stuff? (i've been to haunts before.. just didn't know if it was the proper term or not)

First time at Cedar Point 8/1-8/2
Haha, thats how I am with Firehawk and Vertigo too. When I ride vertigo, I make sure my back is to the track for the lift hill... otherwise I freak out haha.

First time at Cedar Point 8/1-8/2
Actually, 1/2 of those got messed up but there is no way to go back and change your rating number, at least not that i've been able to find. And I said I was hard with the number system.. as in I have only rated one as a ten. I wanted to ride maXair but my friend didn't want to because she hates Delirium, but I guess that leaves something for the next. trip =) I will be visiting all the flat rides I missed when I go back in october. Lol, this is going to sound ridiculous, but they scare the crap out of me. The first time we rode it my friend made me sit so i was going backwards and i was literally freaking out the entire ride. I don't know why they scare me so bad. I can ride roller coasters until i am blue in the face.. but put me on something that all i'm being supported by is a cable and I just can't do it, ski lifts are the same way. Its probably the same reason why i am too scared to do slingshot or Xtreme Skyflyer.

First time at Cedar Point 8/1-8/2
I'm sorry that that is the mood that you got from reading this. It was not at all what I intended. Yeah, I did not enjoy some rides.. but for reasons that I defended and really the only two I did not like were Sky Ride and Disaster Transport. I'm sorry that I was giving my opinion on how I felt about the ride.. but I thought that was the whole idea of a trip report. Now if the reason why you think I am being critical is because of my number rating system.. just pretend that 9 is the highest, because of all the rides i've ridden in my life.. there is only one 10, and that would be the front seat of The Beast at night =]. And for me analyzing the roller coasters is part of the fun for me, its an industry that I want to work in when I get done with school. So I guess its just second nature by now. *shrugs*

First time at Cedar Point 8/1-8/2
Well i've been working on this darn thing for almost a week now, and its finally done after combatting power outages and work. But anyway, CP was awesome, minus the horrendous lines, and outrageous amount of people. Now this is going to be kinda long but there is some funny stuff in it. Some entertaining encounters with people, park employees.. oh and not to mention the wonderful wildlife of the park. Happy reading =] Day one, We started the day off pretty tame, Iron Dragon, it gets a 6. My friend and I are both fans of the suspended arrow coasters.. but not so much this one. I did like how they took advantage of the flick.. but it needed more of it. By this time the park was opening so we moved onto Corkscrew, which gets a 5, it needed a good sweep over (our car was covered with spiderwebs). Then we rode the power tower, a 7 (I love the ones that shoot you up). After a short trip to the little girls room we moved onto Magnum, gets an 8.5. Waited in line for about 15 minutes and lucked out when they needed two people to fill a spot. I went to put my phone in my purse and realized I had left my phone in the bathroom! My friend called my phone and thankfully someone picked it up. We agreed to meet when we got off the ride, so on we went. Loved this coaster, great speed, awesome air time, about 3/4 of the way through though a cell phone came flying back towards my friend nearly hitting her in the face (the cell phone gods were not very happy with us). We get off the ride and I go to look at our photos and what did i see? Boobs.. yeah thats right.. nip and everything, thanks a lot hippy lady behind us. So i have to ask... do they not lock the photos there like they do at KI? We met the lady.. i got my phone back.. off we went to the back of the park. First stop Gemini, honestly both trains got a 3, only two good drops on that one.. but still not enough. Rode mean streak, I gave it a 4. I'm a huge woodie buff and it just didn't do it for me. Not enough air time.. freaking trim breaks going down the first hill totally killed it for me. Oh and not to mention the crew screwing up all the facts and arguing about it while on the mic. Off to Maverick, so far my friend and I are kinda disappointed. We waited in line for about an hour, I amused myself by feeding the fishies some of my granola bar. I liked the crew on this one, one of the girls heckled some guy with sunglasses.. asking him how much they cost, to which he said 800. She told him he would want to put them in the box, of course he tried to argue with her so she told him "if you really want to wear them that badly go buy a two dollar strap, if you can afford 800 for sunglasses, i'm sure you can afford 2 dollars for a strap." lol. My friend and I decided since we had waited that long we might as well ride the front seat, and I loved it. So it gets a 9. We were pretty hungry by this point so we started stumbling around for food. My god I thought Kings Island's prices were bad... i've decided I can't ever complain about anything at KI again, lines or prices. So after passing up many options we ended up eating in Kiddie kingdom.. which is where we had employee encounter #1. This kid HATED the world and was a rude little twit. The person before me snatched her drinks and stormed off after he slammed her money down on the counter and tried punching the money drawer closed 5 times before he got her drinks. He then turned to me and asked me, "What do you want" "I'd like a hotdog basket" *kid rolls eyes* "That will be 5.53" "Um I'd like a drink too" "What?" "Bottle of water" *kid rolls eyes again* "Anything else" "Yeah, a better attitude" The kid gets my food and I move over to let my friend order. As I am searching around for condiments I ask my friend if she has seen any anywhere, the kid chimes in "Oh you wanted stuff on your hot dog, why didn't you tell me when you ordered" In retrospect I should have complained but I forgot his name 10 minutes later. We moved onto Wicked Twister, it gets a 6. It was a cool concept, and would have been a better roller coaster if the ride wasn't so short for such a long line. So, now that i've ridden it, probably won't wait more than 15 minutes for it. Then we decided to head back to mantis and MF to see if the lines were any shorter than they were. We hopped on the sky cab (which gets a -5,000,000,071 since I am horrified of those things.) Got in line for Mantis, it gets a 5, not a big fan of stand up coasters. So as i'm trying to get into the seat/crtotch killer one of the crew starts getting mad at me and keeps telling me over and over again (while in my face) to sit down. Finally I snapped back i'm freaking trying my pants are stuck. He backed up and looked down and was like oh.. sorry. Lol. Then we ran back to the car since it was getting chilly. On the way back to the car wildlife encounter #1 occured.. I got pooped on by a seagull, so that was awesome.. Then we headed over to the frontier area to get dinner. On the way we stopped by the Cedar Creek Mine Ride just so we could say we rode it. on the second lift hill we stopped 3/4 of the way up and were sitting there for a good 5-7 minutes when someone came over the p.a. and told us that this was a "regularly scheduled routine stop". So of course my friend and I are like great, we are going to have to be evacuated off this!? So then it jerked back to a start and on we went. Lame. After that we got food and were walking back towards the main part of the park, I was on the outside of the path closest to the bushes with a good 3 foot gap in between myself and the edge of the walkway when out of nowhere comes a running kid, so I had to jump out of the way so I wouldn't hurt him... but while in the process I got ran over by two security guards that had been running up beside me. The two that knocked me over kept running and so did the next two, but the fifth stopped and helped me up as I'm laughing my butt off, and was like what just happened?! he asked me if i was okay and apologized many times till I told him to go catch up with the others and that he was obviously needed much more there. (seriously this kind of junk happens to me all the time) We decided to make one more trip through the frontier trail, mainly because i wanted to feed the chickens. I was feeding this one out of my hand that had gotten out of the main fence when out of no where. Mr. Albino Turkey Butt decided he wanted to be mean. He stuck his neck out of the fence and lunged for my hand.. but alas I was faster. He then followed me around the fence for a couple minutes. I even handed off the food to my friend and she tried feeding him. After he saw the food he was STILL chasing me around. So finally i decided to try to feed him to be nice. Bad Idea. He pecks MUCH harder than the little chickens do >.<. Haha it was funny though, that little jerk had it in for me I swear. So then we got in line for MF expecting it to be the last ride of the night. I loved MF it was an amazing ride. It gets a 9.5, and it would be a 10 from the front seat i'm sure. I went the whole ride arms up.. the guy in front of me was holding on for dear life haha. When we got out of line we had about 20 minutes left before the park closed so we rushed over to power tower and rode it again. The park is so pretty all lit up at night =]. Then we had 10 minutes left at this point so we rushed over to Magnum and got in line, we got our last ride right at 11. The night ride was much better, there was definitely less trim break right before the pretzely section so that made it way more enjoyable. Day two. Started off the day late. Rode raptor, I give it an 8. I love inverted coasters like that =]. Then we got in line for TTD at about 9:45, so I asked the crew at the station if my fanny pack was okay and they told me it was fine. So we get to the actual entrance for the line and the guy is like you have to put that in a locker, I of course argued but gave in with the understanding that my friend could go ahead and I could just meet up with her. Finding her in the line was horrendous I had a lot of people that were angry as heck with me and wouldn't let me through. So i climbed over the fence and they were like we're going to tell and I was like.. thats nice I have permission and walked off. TTD gets a 7. Its a nice ride and all but definitely not worth the normal wait for it. I've ridden it once. I don't have a want to go rushing back for it. Then we decided to go see what the disaster transport was all about. It gets a 1, I was so disappointed with it. Reading the description I was kind of excited, I had never been on a bobsled style coaster and the special effects description sounded pretty neat. But it was awful you couldn't see ANY of the special effects that they spent 4 million dollars on. I could vaguely make out at what I am guessing were supposed to be "special effects". And I was under the impression that it was supposed to be a 3D experience. I guess I missed that memo. So we left that coaster being severely disappointed, so we decided to finish off the day with a good 'ol woodie. We waited in line for Blue Streak for about 20 minutes and were actually considering stopping by KI before we went home to get our beast fix. Blue streak gets a 7 just because i experienced something on there that I never have in my life. Since their lap bar system is adjusted differently than say The Racer I did two clicks and had an abundance of space, I left my belt very lose. As we were going over the little air time hills I was getting more air time than I have on any coaster i've ever ridden. Haha I loved it <3 So that was our trip. It was crazy as it always is with she and I. Sorry its so long but so much happened lol.

How often do Evacs happen on rollercoasters?
I've seen Diamondback evacuated three times and I'm sure it's been evacuated more then three times. Doubt it. Yes I have seen Diamondback evaced three times. One time was the two weekends after opening day and the other two was during the regular season I went. I saw the one two weekends after opening day. My friend and I were leaving the crypt and there were a bunch of people at the corner of the fence closest to the MCBR trying to watch. Then came the park staff speed walking with harnesses. My friend and I joked about how it was safe to ride now. (we hadn't ridden it yet.)

Cedar Point Advice
OKay so I totally forgot to ask this earlier. Do they have any of the lockers that are just quarter operated like KI? Or are they all rental ones? Oh and we solved our hotel problem. We are staying at the econolodge about two miles from the park.

Favorite pics You've taken at KI
Aw, I was going to make you a really cool wallpaper. Oh well.

SRL Unusual Approach Today
I think the only time i've ever ridden Firehawk with an empty seat on the train was when a friend of mine was going to ride.. and chickened out at the least possible second.. she had hooked her harness and everything. lol

Cedar Point Advice
I think i've found a middle of the road, its the budget inn that is 4 miles from the park, 90 bucks a night.. and my heart doesn't sink when i look at photos.. oh and gad, my problem is that i have to chose in between being able to afford eating.. or staying at a nicer hotel. (what i do for a rush)
