people people, stop the speculation, i the one and only special K know exactly what this "holiday announcement" will be.... cant you see.... its pretty obvious! remembmer when everyone thought pki was being sold? well, it was. the conference on the 25th is to annuonce that the Koch family... owners of the most wonderful park in the world "HOLIDAY WORLD" Have completed their purchase of Paramounts Kings Island... They have wanted that "worlds longest wodden" record for a while, and finally realized this was the only way to get it! HAHA

i watched too... though it does look darn impressive, you never know till you ride.

i'm just glad The Beast is still the king... wth all the rumors floating around i was afraid we were gonnna lose our record!!! shows that parks have respect for our coaster.... they cuold have easily taken it away from us!

i'm curious myself as to if Schwabinchen has been installed yet. i remmber seeing pics of it on site sometime last winter. can anyone say for sure wether or not its up and running? if so, i need to get there for another spin on the lady!

hnmm guess i've been living in a bubble.... i'm so used to the park opening for daily operations starting memorial day.... guess that changed this year. either way, it was an awesome day in the park!

i tried once around 2:30, on my break..... and again when i got done with work around 5. when we saw it was closed at 5, we didnt head back over to that side of the park, so i might have just been there at two unlucky times...

my first trip of the season today.... Lets see.... well i work for boudniot larosas, and volunteered to work at the park for a shift today since they were short... (compensation was well worth it) Anyway, i worked the Rivertown pizza oven from about 10-5 and was then released to do what i wish in the park... he he so my friends and i decided to hit some rides of course... now i'm not sure what today was, buti t was some kind of extra day, not sure why it was open.... anyway, not crowded at all! First on the list was IJST, to my dissappointment, this ride was down much of the day and i didnt get a chance to ride looked great thoug.... (still dont see why flyers had to go, plenty of room, but oh well... i'm over it) After seein IJ was closed, we headed to The Beast... Walk-on.... great ride for the first of the season. little rougher than i remember, but still the best! next on the list was Vortex. Again, walk on. running better than ever. no way they can take it out he he... After Vortex, we headed for FOF. CLOSED! grrrr.... one of my fav in the park and i really watned to ride. Headed towards AZ and hit Drop Zone (one ride wait) and it seems like we were at the top for an abnormally long amount of time, but it had been a while, so i'm pobably wrong. After DZ we decided we were tired, so we hit up faceoff (longest wait of day for poor capacity 20 Min). Great but quick ride. when we got off, my friend did not feel well so we decided to call it a day and head home. overall, it was deffinetly the best hour and 15 minutes i have spent in the park. company was great, lines were short and i got 4 great rides in and quite a it of exercise! now that i've finishe my TR, and my homework, i'm heading off to bed to dream of my next visit.... hopefully not too long from now!

possibly for an injury claimn or something.... boy i nkow i have gotten whiplashed a few times on Vortex.... or at least it felt like it! lol....

wow ghost.... that would be awesome! Sounds like NC would have a great lineup.... hoever i dont see all of that happening because new track /theming for the tiques, two new coasters, and 4 other new rides would cost quite a bit of cash.... probably somewhere around $30 million, which is a lot for a kids area improvement... here is what i'm thinkni as far as the rumor is concerned, and i posted it on buzz earlier this afternoon... remember a few years ago when all the rumors started about water works being removied? and everybody said won't happen.... can't happen... and then they announced it was gone, only to come back a few weeks later to say it would be re-themed....? well, what if we are looking at the same thing here.... i'm thinkin if the rumor is true and an attraction will be "removed" it will be FOF.... except it won't be removed, it will simply be rethemed to the MTV Shockwave coaster in the surveys.... with many improvements of course, much like Waterworks wasn't removed, but rethemed to Boomerang Bay..... How do ya like dem apples??? the speculation game is soooo much fun! he he

6 hours for TTD (opening day to public), 4 hours for MF, first month it was open, 3.5 hours for FOF when it first opened (line baked up to Vortex) and nearly 3 hours for the one and only top gun when it first opened.

i think these new bracelets are just fad. the lance armstrong foundation had a great idea, and originally i liked it... but yeah, now there is one for just about everything. they are over rated and there are wayyy to man of them out there... what was an original, eye catching idea has now become nothing more than a meaningless trend. i for one would not be interested in pki bracelets.

i beleive you are talking about flight commander. this is a ride that was removed a few years after a death that occured on it. you can find a video of what the ride looked like, and the thrill it gave somewhere on this site. if you search, i'm sure you'll find it.

<---- anxiously awaiting the time when i too can return to utopia.... also known as PKI. Unfortunately, current financial state prevents me from buying a pass so i have till math & science days to get one Glad to hear things are running smoothe in the park, and that everyone is enjoying opening weekend!

i s till dont have my pass.... and won't untill mid may. but at least i wont have to pay for it! still sucks that i have to wait, cause i could really go for some Beast Action this weeekend..... grrr!

anyone know where in the park this will be located? 1,700 sq feet is quite abit of space! new building or is this replacing some other store in the park???

PKI Cedar Point Geuaga Lake Kennywood Hersheypark Dollywood SFKK Holiday World and i would love ot make it to florida, but i dont see it happening... thats all i have planned right now, but i will be in the chicago area august 7-10th for the cubs / reds games, so i might hit up six flags great america as well.

Possibly to compete / work with the new "great wolf lodge" thats being built in the area?

i was just surfin around on the beach's website www.thebeachwaterpark.com and in their calandar events for the month of october it lists "NIGHTMARE AT THE BEACH" I can only assume this will be in direct competition with fearfest and offer hunted attractions and such, but i guess what my question is, is do you think this could be a success? and if so, do you think that the beach waterpark is trying to become more of a year-round destination?
