  1. During the year when Reptar and Thornberrys were added, the greatest thing was the theming of the ride areas, with Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Elisa, Darwin...and that elephant! Yeah! But they could definitely do something with Delirium...ride the storm...and have the surrounding area (queue and whatever else) look like it was ripped up by a tornado. Theming should be pretty heavy for Scooby. I think another good thing would be to have some sod and big trees planted in SOB area...just because that would definitely make the experience SO much better than it already is; I feel like I'm riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad when I'm on it...all the desert stuff. Tomb Raider and Flight of Fear's theming is also awesome...it's all a matter of what you can do with the ride. Gimme a theme for Racer or The Beast and I'll stand corrected, but I think PKI does well with themes.
  2. I don't know how someone could be oblivious to the fact that they are hanging upside down over lava, or have a giant wall of ice right in front of their face. I don't know. They could do more with it, fyrfyter...that would be awesome.
  3. For what it is, it is short. There is a lot of "down-time" (rising up to the ice, hanging upside down). What would make it seem longer was if it started quickly, and not slowly, or if the "down time" was dramatically reduced (to add some action).
  4. I was working that day...June 2nd I believe when it was a buy-out? Well, I was working front gate photo and people were quite mad...I said, "hey, not my fault!" I got hit in the head by flying ice cubes many a time that day. The greatest moment that day was seeing people walking down the Eiffel Tower...good times.
  5. Keyhole Photo at Front Gate 2002... 2003...who knows?

I wonder how much laser tag makes for the park??? Why not take all of the laser tag stuff out and put in the museum there? Just a thought

I doubt that they would do anything too too drastic with Wings...it's never very busy.
  8. it's not? My bad. It looks like it...sorta...kinda...oh well. There are some cool stand-up coasters, I know it...whatever. The point is we can do much more with stand-up than we could do back in the 1980s when KC was built.

I would definitely visit a museum of Kings Island, as long as they don't make it like a dumb ride. Has anyone been on the History of Flight at Disney World? That was terrible. Make it a walk-through, replacing the Paramount Story. Kings Island is a part of my past, although I don't remember it well. Bring back the snail from EV, some smurfs, and a log from the old log flumes and I'll be happy. (Oh, don't forget Maestro!)
  10. Here's the deal with building coasters: King Cobra was the "prototype" for stand-up looping coasters. And although it was fun and different, now they can do MUCH MUCH more for standing up coasters (a la Islands of Adventure's Hulk). X is basically the prototype for 4D coasters. We don't want one now, wait until more are built, we will be able to do much more with them. Quality, not quantity.
  11. Working at Front Gate can get pretty boring...so my coworkers and I would dance to the music...we had every song memorized. The Forrest Gump theme would be "your best friend just died" and we would cry and look at our cards (the ones with numbers on them) like they were pictures. And then there was the Pee Wee Herman song...running...then walking....then running. The greatest one I would have to say was the Mexican song, where we would act like toreadors and bulls, and act out a fight. Oh, good times. One of the dumbest "guest" things I did was when I would get ice cubes, and walk right behind people. I would pretend to sneeze, and then toss an ice cube at the back of their neck. No one really ever realized it was just an ice cube...
  12. But would it be better for the park's financial value to remove it and add a kickin' coaster? I think so...it would be a great way to get people out of Action Zone. Although that was what Tomb Raider was supposed to do, it worked until mid-July, and after that Tomb Raider was an easy 20 minute walk-on.
  13. I've heard of stories (including one from AOL at Halloween time) about a little girl who haunts the campground and Action Zone...also heard this from a Top Gun/Son of Beast employee...weird...also in the yellow polka-dotted dress.
  14. Yes, although the cars are a nice family ride, they take up a lot of room for what they offer: standing in line for a 2-minute ride through the polluted Kings Island country-side??? Have you seen the creeks back there? They're filled with sewage and waste...wouldn't be suprised if that's where Tucker's Roadside Grill dumps all of their waste grease. I could see the park selling the ride to a starting park. The cars take up a good portion of the park, you can see that from the Eiffel Tower. Just some more thoughts (and when will they expand to the east??? I know they own a good deal of that land...
  15. Ok, we all know that the Old-Fashioned Cars take up a lot of room, and only for one ride, seeing that the other side was taken out years ago. Although it wouldn't be practical to do it this year, in the future is it possible to put a wild mouse in that space??? Just wondering...
