The lift hill has an arch design which makes it extremely sturdy. The design and engineering is definately amazing though, and it will be interesting to see the lift with just the 2 supports.

What temporary support? The single support closest to the station. The lift only has the two main supports and not three.

It will be interesting to see how they take out the temporary support.

I don't think Busch Gardens or Cedar Fair would put splashdown effects on Griffon and Diamondack if it would rust the track faster than if they weren't on those rides. But you never know how it may be affected.

Angie, thanks for sharing your trip, it sounded like a great time! The arch is definately a great place to see, I have family that live in St. Louis so I've been fortunate enough to go the Arch many times.

I'm glad I purchased my PP in October. That's strange why it's not listed. If that were the case no Cedar Fair Park would offer Platinum Passes

I've heard that same "clicking" noise every time I ride it and am near it. It's pretty prevalent on this .

I do, I think personally for me, it would be hard to ride SOB again. Is that to say if does reopen I will never ride it again, we'll see.

I know I'm stating the obvious, but if SOB does reopen I think the Ohio Dept. of Agriculture and KI, and engineers need to inspect every portion of the ride (bolts, structural integrity, wood , track, etc.) for them to consider opening that ride up. I guess the question is if the cost to do all that is worth it. Again I know that these comments have been stated over and over in one way or the other, but thought I'd put my 2 cents in. By the way looking at the ODA 2006 report and seeing the wood split like that makes me very weary to ride SOB again, unless every portion of the ride is looked over very carefully.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. Although Carowinds will have Intimidator, Dominion has Dominator and Volcano, which I heard were two good coasters. Not to mention they have Shockwave which will help relive the King Cobra days. Does anyone know if Dominion's Crypt is a better attraction than KI's (I would hope)?

Backlot Stunt Coaster

King's Dominion seems like it has a little more to offer, but at the same time seems very similar to KI. Either Intimidator looks nice, but I agree Carowinds' looks awesome.

Right before the launch on TTD was most likely the most nervous I've ever been before riding a roller coaster. Millenium Force would have to be second on that list, mainly because I sat in the very front. They both are a great time though.

Even though the offseason just began, I want to plan a trip to either Kings Dominion or Carowinds next year or possibly both. I've never been to either (hence the poll), so if you've been or know anything good or bad about the parks I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks

The only ride that makes me feel a little sick sometimes is Monster.
