  1. It IS a great park. I used to get season passes there instead of KI when I was littler, and I'd go all the time. Aztec Adventure along with The Rapids thing are the best things there. DO NOT miss Snake River Rapids if you go. That ride is so fun, and usually has very short lines.
  2. I felt great when we went up the second lift! I kept telling him over and over, "I'm so so happy I got you to ride this!"
  3. I was expecting quite a bit of crowds because of it being the weekend and all, but really there wasn't too many people there. My friend (who is not too fond of roller coasters) and I arrived at Kings Island at about 2:30, and rain was pelting the windshield. We waited for a while in the Gold Pass lot, and finally the rain let up a bit. We walked to the gate, and the whole time we were walking I was just waiting and waiting for Diamondback's all-clear horn to sound. We decided to walk around a bit, and ended up in the arcade near The Beast when it started to pour again. We waited for about a half hour, and played a few games. My friend (whose name is Josh too) decided he wanted to ride BLSC. I agreed, as that ride is fun. The ride ops decided they would start their ride up when Diamondback stopped running cycles and let people on, which was about a 10 minute wait. We were at the very front of a line that we formed. We rode front seat which was pretty fun, as I had never done front seat before on BLSC. Seeing the line was short, we decided on going again. Don't make fun of me, its a fun little ride. After that, I wanted to get my friend on The Racer for the first time. He was really freaked out as we pulled up the lift hill, but as soon as we hit the drop, he totally loved it. It was a new experience for me too, because it was running...... *drumroll* TRIMLESS! It was great! I absolutely loved the trip back to the station! We marathoned it 4 times, before he started to not feel good. Also, I think I may have seen HTCO, but I figured it wouldn't have been him because he said he had practice. Once we finished up The Racer, we walked over to Adventure Express, which was a walk-on. That ride just never gets old. We were the last train to go, before they announced there was thunder and lightning. (There wasn't..) So, since the rides closed down, we went and ate at Outer Hanks. It was pretty good, and I had never eaten before. So when rides started opening back up, we left and went up the Eiffel Tower. I showed my friend The Beast, and told him since he loved AE and The Racer, he would probably love The Beast considering it was a wooden coaster which went fast through the woods. He finally announced he was going to go on it in a hour. (He wanted his food to digest). We walked over to Diamondback, because I wanted to get at least one ride on it. Well, it was closed down because they were getting a train out of storage. The ride-op said it would take 45 minutes to re-open. I thought, are you kidding me? They're just taking a train out of storage. Well, I figured he'd be right. And since I saw that Drop Tower's line was short from the Eiffel Tower, I figured I'd go ride that. I had just passed Scooby-Doo when I heard the horn blow! So I sprinted to the SRL, and got on in under 10 minutes. I was assigned row 3, but my partner rider went to row 2 because people let him in front of them. I jumped in with him, and got my first front seat ride. I have to say, I don't like the front as much as the back! By this time, my friend was ready to ride The Beast. It was a one train wait. We climed up the lift, and he said he regretted wanting to ride it. And as soon as we hit the tunnel after the first drop, he looked at me and said, "I LOVE THIS!" It made me feel great because for the longest time, he hated roller coasters. He decided to go again, and I went with him. Again, he loved it. I had a good day at Kings Island, as always and I was so happy I got my friend to start riding roller coasters. Enjoy.
  4. Heh.. I have 8. I can't wait till I get there on an empty day and can marathon it. I'm shooting to go on Thursday.
  5. I saw that too! ;D
  6. I absolutely LOVE these pictures! DESKTOP MUCH?! No seriously, can I use one as my background?
  7. I usually wear my Adidas sandals or my super duper comfy Rider flip flops. I don't really like wearing tennis-shoes around.
  8. One kid in line for Diamondback said it went upside down 100 times.
  9. When I went on June 9th, one of my friends said.. "You know, on the last day of the season, they let you swim in the fountains." I also heard while waiting for BLSC.. "This ride goes faster than Diamondback in that tunnel, its an illusion"
  10. Kiddie coaster "junior coaster" Wood and Steel Wood = FOC, Beastie at the time. Steel = Giggle Coaster, Top Cat's Taxi Jam then. Major Wood and Steel non looping Wood = Racer Steel = Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Looping Steel and Wood sorry I had to do it. Wood = SOB Steel = Scorpion Suspended Flight Deck Inverted Invertigo Launched looped and Non looped Looped = Flight of Fear Non-looped = Powderkeg Stand-up N/A Water Ride Pfft. I don't know? WWC?
  11. Giga, I think I'll bump myself to level 6 as well. Hands up on everything! Can I hear an 'Airtime'?
  12. So is the violence the reason you have to be 18 to ride in the back seat? Or is it just a rule?
  13. Somebody tell her about Hades: http://www.rcdb.com/ig2667.htm?picture=53 Isn't that ride so rough you have to be 18 or older to ride in certain seats on it? Or is that Zeus? Or Cyclops? Josh, who wished he knew his Greek mythology better... Eep! Double post! Sorry!
  14. The Beast. Hands down. (But like many others, up while riding.)
  15. I read the TR's sometimes, and sometimes I don't. I usually always look at PTRs, because they are just a lot easier to look through and more appealing. I really love Kat's (violakat03) PTR/VTRs, Angie's (gigacoaster2k) PTRs and her occaisonal VTR, and Jackson's (Beast1979) PTRs. YES! I'm excited!
  16. Sorry Terpy. I know two Ians and a Heather..
  17. Yeah, I'm getting sick of my TRs and I want to start doing PTRs when I get a camera. (Birthday? Hmm?) Anyways, here we go... I was picked up by my friends mom at about 10:30 and we got to the park at about 10:50-11:00. The parking lot was pretty empty! We got our passes scanned and prepared for some riding! My first stop, as always, was Diamondback. We had an uneven group, so while four people went into the normal line, I got into the SRL. I stopped about halfway down the steps. The normal line moved very fast, and the SRL moved pretty slow. I actually only got on three trains before my group, but still, that was pretty fast. All in all, I waited about 20 minutes. We then decided on The Beast. Mainly because it remains as my favorite ride. So we got into the line which was pretty short but then this huge group of high schoolers just shoved us out of the way of the entrance and pushed into the line. The line went pretty fast, and I was suprised how fast the crew was going. Again, we waited about 20 minutes. I kind of wanted to ride in the front because I had never ridden in the front seat of The Beast, but the extra line for it was a little too much for me. I jumped in two rows back though. It was running great! I did see the red boat, and it was weeeird. After that my group wanted to ride Vortex. I didn't really feel in a Vortex mood because I had a headache, but my group wanted to. The line was really long, and at that we decided on Backlot. The line was short, so I decided why not? And I got on after about 5 minutes because a ride op came back and asked how big our group was and we told him 5. So he put us in and my friend had to ride with a single rider. It was pretty good, as always, but a little short. Then we rode Zephyr, which I usually don't like, but rode anyways. It usually makes me sick, and ruins my day. I was totally fine after riding this time. We went into X-Base, and Firehawk was an hour, as usual. We rode Flight of Fear which was very short compared to how it usually is. I ended up riding alone though, but I was fine with that. We ran to Racer to find the queue house almost completely empty! I wanted a back seat ride, but decided to get in the second to last seat, because it was a walk on. We then marathoned it 6 times. Aiiirtime! I was going to try out Slingshot, considering it was $5, but the line was pretty long for the low capacity. We went on Drop Tower, with a one-drop wait. Then the line was short again so we got on again. By this time, the line was getting pretty long so we skipped it and went on Invertigo. Invertigo's line was about 20 minutes, which is short compared to what it usually is. I enjoyed it, as usual, altough I'm not a big fan of Vekoma. We decided we were hungry and went to eat in the Festhaus where we got to see Down Home Country. It was okay, I guess. I'm not that in to country music, but hey, some people liked it. I was glad to get out of the blazing sun. After eating, some of my group wanted to ride SOB and some decided they wanted more DB, I didn't want to ride SOB considering my headache, and split up with 3 people to Diamondback. The line was amazingly short, and we got 2 rides out of it. The first ride, I wanted to ride in the front, and the ride-op said no. The second time I wanted to ride the back, and again, I was denied. Oh well, I'm satisfied with a ride on Diamondback regardless. The other people in my group called and said they were getting on Delirium, so we ran to Scooby-Doo. It was a walk-on.. Er, run on rather. We ran under all of the turnstyles and got on in under a minute. I got my all-time high score of 1290. One person got 200 something, and the other got 30. I'd say I've got the better shot. At this point, our deadline of 4:30 was approaching fast. We met up in front of the fountains and we went back to Action Zone. Seeing every line was long, Skyflyer was $5, I had never done Skyflyer, and Skyflier's line was short, I picked the obvious choice of.. Yup, you guessed it, Skyflyer. I was extremely scared to get on, being afraid of heights and all. (A coaster fan.. Afraid of HEIGHTS? Yeah. I am. I also like facing my fears.) Being the shortest, I had to pull the Ripcord. This made me really scared, haha. We were attatched to the wire, and the elevator dropped out from under us. I know they say, 'the floor is going to drop out from under you', but I didn't know you'd fall that fast! I heard the "3, 2, 1, Fly!" and I pulled my ripcord and... Nothing happened. I couldn't get the thing to budge. Then after a few seconds I got it to release and we were free-falling towards the ground. This was so scary! Then we felt like we were swinging, and gradually came to a stop. All in all, I had a good trip, and suprisingly didn't encounter any line jumpers. Thank god!
  18. That's exactly what I was thinking with each picture.
  19. Yeah. I black out, it's still a fun ride, its just scary sometimes because one time I couldn't move until we got past the Police part.
  20. I ride that every time now. This seat has moved Vortex up dramaticly (sp?) in my rankings.
  21. Now, I can't really do a poll on this, because there are so many, but I just wanted to make a thread discussing your favorite elements on KI rides. Mine would have to be a tie between The Beast's double helix and Diamondback's second hill. What you pick can be still running, or can be defunct (i.e.: SOB's loop, KC's loop, etc.)
  22. Personally, I think any seat is amazing. The whole ride is just a total rush. Since I have to choose, I would have to say the back, either outside seat is the best.

They just make me so mad sometimes. Lying to make money. " Hurtling through the darkness, you'll come face-to-face with glistening, razor-sharp stalactites and roiling, red-hot lava pits, twisting and turning as you struggle against the fury of nature's polar opposites in a desperate effort to escape!" How about 'going up and down through darkness you'll come face to face with a poster of a goddess who's floating in the air! You'll come face-to-face with CEMENT, Metal walls and what used to be actual THEMING! Going up and down, how about we add a couple of boring flips in too as you're struggling against yelling about how stupid the ride is! Yay!' "Hourly Capacity 600 guests" -Wrong "Ride Length 2:55 minutes" -Wrong "Number of Seats 77 Stadium-Style seats divided into three rows" -Wrong "Flips Guests Upside-down 4 Times" -Wrong
  24. I voted Son of Beast. Son of Beast's loop was HUGE and the lap bars made it so AWESOME!
