  1. I have a big reason for this one, being 58 3/4 inches tall and all.. Vortex.. I'm right in between the grab bars and I get the crud beaten out of me no matter how I position myself. Migrane city for me there. T2.. Again, shortness and the already roughness of that ride DO NOT HELP. Thunderhawk at Dorney Park.. Really rough woodie~ It hurt really really bad! Meanstreak.. It just hurt
  2. Actually, I have to rebute that.. People were more afraid of the ones who spoke than the ones who were quiet. I have many many many examples of that.
  3. Actually US was more along the lines of 28 Weeks Later and 28 Days Later.. More of a Rage virus than regular old Zombies.
  4. Oooo~ Look at all the pretty people! *giggles* So many are talking about the hospital~ with all the nice doctors~ I'm going to chase the pretty people again~ and look for my Motorcycle.. You.. haven't seen my motorcycle.. have you? *twitch* *shot* Lol If you haven't figured it out, everyone's favorite crazy person with the motorcycle handlebars is back into the infection! Yay Urgent Scare!
  5. Realitively peaceful, until D-back roars over~ and I highly dislike people writing on the rides this year.. Ghost Riders in the Sky is another song and Down Under is one of my personal favorites~ and everyone's gotta love Teddy~ Glad to hear that~ It is a wonderful way to get off your feet~ and I do love the views of D-back and all the other attractions. and again, must love Teddy~ And again, I agree too~
  6. Why couldn't they do something along those lines year around at the crypt? Poor Crypt~ It's had a rough year and it's so confused on exactly what it is.. Funny thing was I saw a couple Crypt shirts around with different things.. one was a mummy.. Made me do a double take~ Crypt needs a retheme bad~ at least Train has somewhat of a theme~ That just means you gotta ride it a few more times right? Takes alot of monies to do that unfortunately~ That's prolly one of the biggest reasons.. Awesome~ Steam locomotives have become my favorite~ and yeah I agree there needs to be more music... Actually, when there isn't alot of people, the crew usually allows rerides..
  7. I know what you mean about relaxing on the train. The soundtrack is pretty good.. Not too fond of Cotton Eyed Joe or I Want You to Want Me. Usually the conductors point out most of the "scenic" items on the train. They did add the W.E. Shippet & U. Storum in the place of the old Saloon and Jail that got knocked over by mean 'ol Ike! And I believe they got rid of the Cowboys and Indians partially due to political incorrectness. It would be nice if it was just the cowboys coming back though~ Beautiful shots~ XD Yes~ Save Mittens! Thing is though, Haunt takes alot of planning from what i've learned.. they do that months ahead of time. Plus I think rides like the Train and Crypt are the last things on CF's minds right now.
  8. Just out of pure curiousity, i'm just wondering what people think of the Kings Island & Miami Valley Railroad this year? (The Train) Such as the crew, the ride itself and things like that.. Also, when the Train isn't going to Boomerang Bay and you decide to ride it, what makes you want to ride it? Besides getting a good look at D-back that is~ Also, any recommendations?
  9. No contest for me~ The Beast definately~
  10. That, is a very untrue statement. Yes, there are some employees that don't really care.. but that's a small percentage. There are alot of employees that really enjoy working at the park and work their hardest to make Kings Island an enjoyable experience for everyone. That statement is really hurtful to those who do their best. I agree with the first statement and Disagree with the second. Some employees will have a crappy manager, but act by their own morals and will do much better with their attitude and how they work. I do agree that there should have not been any mockery and the situation should have been handled professionally. There are a few people above Katie, such as Dan or Liz. Her statment of herself being the highest person you can talk to is false. If all else fails and you still feel like nothing has been rectified, you can always talk to the PR Manager Don Helbig. I'm terribly sorry that these incidents occured, but as others have said, this was just a holiday weekend and alot of people who do not normally go did. I'm sorry for the display of unprofessionalisim, but I can ensure you that it's not always like that and there are alot of employees who take great care in what they do. As I said before, there are some who don't care and some that do. I know there are alot of employees enforcing the rules to the best of their abilities.. You have to remember, some of them have limits as to what they can do.. That's when they turn it over to Security. I agree with the beginning statement, but remember.. If you don't notify someone.. Say a Ride op or Security officer.. when it happens.. Nothing happens. And that Situation below shouldn't have happened.. This is another kind of hurtful statement. I know quite a few locals that come to the park and work there and they don't act nor feel like they own the place. Especially with the employees.. tell me, would you rather have someone come in.. Say from another state and have NO CLUE about the park, it's history or what it means to work at Kings Island; or, would you rather have someone with experience in the park, knowledge of the rides, attractions there at the park, knowledge of the area and a love of their workplace and local community? In my honest opinon.. THAT makes the experience much better when someone has love for what they do. And I don't think you meant it, but you did sound like you were saying all the locals who come to KI are "trash".. and as a West Chester resident who's been coming to KI for 12 years and has nothing but respect for KI and most of it's employees.. I find that offensive.
  11. Most of the above is correct~ There are two stroller compartments, one near the front and one near the rear of the cars and the wheelchair ramp. What kind of stroller do you have? If it's just the small single, you can fold it up and take it into the bench with you. If it's a double or a larger single, Try the stroller compartments and use the wheelchair ramp as a last resort.. Since it is... well.. A Wheelchair ramp. And one more thing~ it makes it easier if you enter through the exit near the mini photobooth. That way you aren't dealing with the turnstiles in the station. There should be (SHOULD BE, not sure yet) Two trains running soon, we'll see...
  12. I definately agree with #1, but #3-#5 I have some comments to.. For the smoking enforcement, the associates have been trying to enforce it to the best of their abilities. and if you're uncomfortable with someone's behavior in line, you can always let an associate know. For park maps, they are usually in every merchandise location and I think some food locations as well. Few rides have park maps, but I know the Train has quite a few of them this year. For the songs on the train, I personally am not a fan of Cotton Eye Joe or I Want You to Want Me, but the great thing is it does add some more enjoyment to the Train (especially for the little Kids) and fills in the silence in between the conductor's speils. You have to remember that most of the people that ride the Train before (and after) Boomerang Bay is open and Haunt Season's start are either people who are die-hard Train and Railroad fans and people that want to relax and or see more of Diamondback. My personal request would be to add something like Rawhide! I really enjoy the music on the Train and hope they'll add more to it! My biggest request is repainting rides that really need it and give the Train a Jail again. Oh yeah~ and bring back the sectionalized music, i'm tired of feeling like i'm walking down International Street all the time!
  13. You can still go and have a great time~ It does get a bit busy, but if you manuver around the park well enough, you'll be fine. Just use the "Ride while they eat lunch/ Dinner" rule and it will help tremendously. Don't get discouraged~
  14. So much for the monsters not touching you.... Terpy, who can see some real problems with this situation. . . Yeah, I think they would be best advised to remove the bungee scare completely because in the event that the person actually caused a serious injury, especially in the case of someone older going through the maze, Kings Island could have a mess on their hands. I worked in Urgent Scare this year (I was the crazy handlebar lady) and one of our problems was with our Jumpers.. We had gone through 3 different jumpers and only the first and second jumper I believe had previous experience. The final jumper we had towards the end had never done the position before. And really, if you think about it.. That was an accidental touch, he must have miscalculated big time.
