Advice from people who have been to Universal
My family and I are leaving for Orlando on January 28th. (So excited!) In a different topic i had some great tips for Universal, but am looking for more opinions and ideas. We plan on getting the package with Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins and get into Seaworld as much as we want. We are debating now whether to go to Universal Studios (2 day park hopper pass) or one or two days at Disney. Some questions I have are: With these parks being open year round I realize that they shut down some of the rides every once in a while to do regular inspections and check ups. Are there any scedules that the park has that tells us if any of the rides will be closed when we go? My dad is a pretty large dude. Do rides at Universal accomodate larger people? Are the parks busy late January to early February? I am pretty sure two days at Universal is long enough to do everything, but what about if we go to Disney? If we had only one or two days what parts of Disney do you guys suggest? (The youngest person going is 13 so we are more thrill people so not really into teacups) Is citywalk at Universal included with park admission? What are some of the fun things to do there? All but one of us are 18 and older, what can and can't we get into? Any other tips, advice, opinions, and discussion is very much appreciated. I know the people on this site are very smart and friendly so I am looking forward to the help from all of you. Thanks in advance.

Universal To Close 'Jaws' Attraction
All of these pointers and disscusion have me excited for February. Knowing my family, they will just get single day park hopper tickets so I'm hoping I can get all of it done in a day.

Universal To Close 'Jaws' Attraction
Thanks for all the help. Hopefully I can talk my parents into doing two day park hopper passes. Also, I'm happy to hear that some form of Earthquake is still there. Thats one of the few rides that I can somewhat remember. Also, are they getting a King Kong 360 ride? Or is that just in California? My family really isn't big on the Harry Potter franchise..just not our type of book/movie...is it still worth it go to the HP part?

Universal To Close 'Jaws' Attraction
Sigh. I was looking forward to riding it in February. I'm sad to have learned they got rid of Earthquake too, thanks to this thread. I haven't been to Florida for about ten years, and being 8 years old I don't remember much. I don't know the difference between the studios or the islands. Which one should we go to in February?

Halloween Haunt 2012 Ideas
An end of the world theme would be cool. Picture Swarm's theming worked into a haunt.

What do you miss the most about Kings Island this off season?
Atmosphere. The reason I go to King's Island is just the look of it and the enjoyment of walking around with the girlfriend. If I want coasters then I drive on up to Cedar Point. Thats the best part of living exactly in the middle of both.

Soak City Construction Pics
Is the new wave pool going to be like the one already there? I would like the new one to be a little more intense than the small waves the old one puts out.

Favorite Flat Ride
Drop Tower. The only ride that still gets me kinda nervous. I like the train and Eiffel Tower for afternoon naps. Very peaceful.

PETA Accuses SeaWorld Of Animal Slavery
My black lab is used to retrieve ducks that my dad kills. (We eat them...its not for sport reasons) Does that make my dog a slave? I think this is stupid.

Favorite Night Ride
Beast. If it wasn't for the last helix then I'd probably say Adventure Express, but Beast is amazing.

Urgent Scare scares me to death. I hate hospitals.

Wolfpack maze
Besides Urgent Scare, Wolfpack is my favorite. I was the front person of my group and was scared about every 6 steps I took. Very good theming and just an overall great zone. Also love the sign!

What is your favorite Nickelodeon Character?
Anybody remember Summer Sanders on the original Slime Time? Had the biggest crush on her when I was four. My favorite has to be Reptar.
