Week III: Birnbaum Guides Walt Disney World
I once saw a couple in Epcot with an outdated copy of that guide desperately looking for World of Motion.

Addition of Banshee to Fast Lane Lineup?
No, it was WindSeeker/Vortex.

PKI Lifetime Pass?
Please, no.

Avatarland update?
Avatarland might be nice on its own, but it, along with the appalling Dinorama area (NOT Dinoland USA, which is actually fairly well themed), really doesn't belong in Animal Kingdom. I still don't understand the creative decisions that led to carnival rides being put in a fake parking lot in a Disney theme park. Anyway, I have no doubt that Avatarland will be nice, it's just unfortunate that it's being put where it is (along with Monsters Inc in Tomorrowland, Flying Carpets in Adventureland, Soarin in The Land placed so it soars up behind Canada, Swan and Dolphin towering over France, etc... poor placement actually seems to be a fairly common problem at WDW, doesn't it?). (and, yes, I understand that it's in AK because of the environmental theme or something... but it seems like a stretch to me)

Avatarland update?
There seems to have been a rather cool reception to this news so far...

2014 Park Map Info
Descriptions for some of the park services (i.e., lots of guests think "baby care center" means babysitting). Markings for places that have gold pass perks. Markings for Fast Lane rides (the Fast Lane people end up having to mark maps with a pen because they're not listed on the map).

Cedar Fair Installs eConnect Loss Prevention System
That's what that weird light and camera thing at the bottom of the checkout lanes at Kroger is for... oh, technology!

Cedar Fair Installs eConnect Loss Prevention System
Also, one would hope that common sense would take precedence over what a piece of third-party software says... ...one would hope.

Action Zone Re-theming for 2014
Not everything at WDW is original music by Disney- even Wonders of Life and the pre-1994 Tomorrowland used music by others. 1994 Tomorrowland used Raymond Scott music. Innoventions Plaza uses some David Arkenstone music ( might sound familiar...). Unfortunately, the days of 100% original scores in the parks seem to be over. Obviously not the same as playing Lady Gaga in line for Spaceship Earth, but it's still not New Horizons and Fun to Be Free.

Firehawk vs B&M flyers
There's nothing quite as bad as the Zamperla flyers... I've had the misfortune of riding the one at Elitch Gardens (very creatively named "The Flying Coaster") and the one at Canada's Wonderland... both were absolutely awful.

Only KI based restaurants in the park
I wouldn't mind seeing Chick-Fil-A or Subway leave, but I don't see a huge issue with everything else, especially LaRosa's and Skyline. Speaking of chicken restaurants, how come the other parks don't have Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner restaurants? Seems like it'd be unique and cool...

Action Zone Re-theming for 2014
I'd settle for different colors. Red brick in Coney, stamped concrete that looks like planks of wood in Rivertown (I think they used this at Knott's in their old west area?), etc. Look at how Animal Kingdom uses the pavement to reinforce the theme.

The Kings Island Floral Clock
Now that the Starlight Spectacular is no more, I'm hoping that the whole thing will be planted this year instead of just a few sections of it (the other sections had lights in them). I'd be thrilled if it and the floral calendar were upgraded to have the park logo in them like they used to, but we can't get everything we want, I suppose.

Action Zone Re-theming for 2014
Anyone else remember when concrete was poured in the WindSeeker/Vortex area in 2011 then immediately ripped up and replaced with pavers? I don't really like how Planet Snoopy, Coney, and Rivertown all have the same pavers. It would have been a nice touch if each area used thematically appropriate ones.

...with a queue area the size of Coney Mall!- 2014 Plans?
$25... for regular parking... wow...- Bring back attractions/add new attractions
Oh, I really miss Demon Drop. My last visit to CP seemed incomplete without it. Also, Space Spiral...- Kentucky Kingdom
The fact that KK felt that it needed to be mentioned makes me feel like there may have been better choices... you know that lots of the guests will see it and be immediately reminded of what happened in 2007, or probably think it's the same ride.- Action Zone Re-theming for 2014
Aww. I always kind of liked the banners, especially once they got new ones last season.- Kentucky Kingdom
I hadn't been previously aware that KK was adding a new Drop Tower ride. That's rather... daring.- Bring back attractions/add new attractions
I know this is different, but I'd like Enchanted Theater back as a replacement for Peanuts Playhouse, with a small coaster replacing Peanuts Playhouse- KI could use a small spinning coaster, and that'd be a neat location. However, I would *not* like the infamous show involving Fred Flintstone dancing with a carrot back...- Kentucky Kingdom
It looks very... Arrow.- Kings Dominion 2014
Volcano's queue and loading area setup always screamed "this ride is in a building that wasn't designed for it" to me. IIRC, the ramp down to the load area was really sketchy and would get backed up since the separator in the big queue area had no way of knowing how many people were on it already. It was just an odd setup.- Kings Dominion 2014
I wonder if they'll be building the second half of Volcano that they forgot originally... - New Ride Coming to Coney in 2014
