Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
6 New pictures showing off the theming around the splashdown and station. Also, in the shots of the splashdown, I saw that they added fin like barriers on top of the trough that the train goes through in the splashdown.

I'm very confident in the fact that that is a footer for a light, because I asked a question during the Party concerning the onride photo. Don said that the cameras would most likely be at the bottom of the second hill because that's where he said the riders would be caught by surprise by the force of the drop.

I'm assuming that the digger is taking out some of the midway that was too close to the track. If the midway stayed as it is people could, and probably would, be touching the track and supports.

I'm pretty sure that they started working on that exit ramp last week. If you look closely you can see that it splits in the middle. I assume that one way leads to the midway exit and the other leads to the onride photo shop and souvenir store.

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
I asked a question about the maintenance shed and Don said that they were basically done with the shed. But he also said that sometime after the opening (or before) they are going to put something of a roof on top of the structure to protect the trains. As for the wheels, that is not new for BM and that is how its going to stay. If you look for some Behemoth pics, I'm sure you would find similar things in Behemoth's storage area. Also, there are pictures of Griffon (my name is Griffin and I think thats really cool) on RCDB that show the maintenance shed for the trains. In those, the trains only rest on the "kicker" wheels that move the train in and out of the shed.

KIC Offseason Blues Party
When he did the trivia, I was the one that got three of the posters and Don asked me how many of them I was planning to sell on Ebay. It was awesome and very nice PTR Jackson, I always look forward to seeing all the pics you take of KI.

okay, first off, the stairs that I originally pointed out on here aren't the qeue line entrance or exit stairs. they are stairs for maintenance access to the loading platform and to under the station (literally). also, if you look at the new pics on the website then you will see structural steel on the side of the station closest to the final brake run. this steel is for the qeue line entrance into the station. the opposite side is the exiting side. if you want to argue with me on this then ok but I had to get this off my chest so to speak cause it's been bugging me. my proof of all this from the wikipedia article on Diamondback that has a link to the Dayton daily news website. this website has pictures of the station from many views. this is where my source of info is coming from.
