  1. When I worked there this post season my Assistant Supervisor told me that it can be used in other Cedar Fair parks. Her and another employee visited Cedar Point and said they could park in the employee parking, and also get into some kind of early admission event. I am not 100% completely sure what the deal is because no one ever told me. I was also going to ask a similar question because I am going to be working there again this summer. I wish we could get into the ERT for Diamondback every morning.
  2. The new photo update shows some great perspectives of what we will be able to see soon. I really like the angle that you're looking at.
  3. Oh please some TLC for the Festhaus. I don't even know if you can call it that anymore with the western show in there. That place could look great if they fixed it up and put some better food in there. That chinese does smell good though walking through there on the way to break.
  4. I really hope they don't have a kiddie corral. When I worked at SoB the only thing holding the gate close was on of those little hitches and the children could easily open it themselves while the train was coming in and we were'nt standing right there watching them. Then we would have to stop the train, go close the gate, and at the same time make sure no one entered through the exit either. The exit looks a lot like the Batman: The Ride exit at SFGAdv. There is almost like a little "room" or "space" that you go into and I think there is a gate with a little fence as well. And then from there, there is a little bridge like you can see at the bottom of the first blueprint picture. There has to be an elevated path going to the exit for wheel chair access. Right?
  5. I just went back through your posts and found what you were talking about. Sorry, I didn't read into enough as I should have. But yes, we do rule. lol
  6. Looks that way, actually...great find! Thanks! KIC tourist power!
  7. Those are awesome! I really wish i could read the writing! I used the zoom feature on my mac but it's too blury.
  8. Mine came through too! I'm always the one looking around at the view on lift hills (including looking behind me watching the train go up, and looking straight down), and not paying attention to how close the train is to the drop.. like "Wow, look, you can see ______ .. aaaAAAAAAAHH!!!" Me too. My favorite part of riding Superman Ride of Steel at SFNE was looking to the left at the river and just taking it all in. This is going to be awesome!
  9. Those stairs in the rear of the station really look like service stairs that go under the track to the other side of the station like with the SoB station. But what are these... Could that be for the line?
  10. Yay! Those are great! The new picture update on kiDiamondback.com is also a great addition. Thanks for posting!
  11. I'm looking at the renderings right now and I'm having flash backs of when the ride was first announced. I wasn't at the park because I was in Walt Disney World. I got the text message from KIC in line for Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom and I was like yelling out all of the stats to my dad and everyone stared at me. This post isn't completely useless...don't worry. Do they still have to build some type of building over the tracks where they store the trains overnight? Is that going to be built after the station is completed?
  12. That's awesome! I like what you can see of Vortex as well. You can see the shape of the first hill and looks pretty cool.
  13. I just love the way that piece looks at that angle. I was watching the webcam today and this area looked really awkward. Maybe because it doesn't come as close to the ground as the area coming out of the turn that is also seen in this picture. But from the webcam it looked really "tight" and that it will deliver a lot of g's. Does anyone know why it doesn't go all the way to the ground like the piece next to it does? Maybe if the hill went down all the way, then the turn would be further out, and would have a long distance to travel towards where the MCBR is?
  14. What don't you get? You stated earlier that you had two safety violations that were within weeks of each other. It's not that hard to figure out. Yeah I know but you don't really know all of the picky details. I do get it, I just have that attitude because I loved it so much. Besides, the same thing happened to a guy earlier in the year and he was able to stay. Oh well, can't change it.
  15. Yeah I see what your saying and maybe we are over examining it just a bit. I guess we are just way to anxious and just start throwing out ideas. I can't wait to see what the final outcome is though.
  16. Ohhh ok. I never knew that's what it was called. Thanks!
  17. What's The Beast Canyon?
  18. From the animations it looks like everything is going to look the same. Maybe just redone. But there is no sign of The Beast at all in them either.
  19. Yup you do get to choose. When I interviewed in July right after I turned 16, she asked what kind of ride I wanted to work at and I said "roller coaster" and she told me the openings and there was an opening at Son of Beast and Flight Deck crew so I took it. My first Ride Associate job and I got to work at the tallest roller coaster at the park at the time! They don't train you to "drive" (actually operate the ride) at first. You check bars and d co-dispatch for the longest time. I knew people that worked there all season and didn't get drive trained. But I started working August 20 and was drive trained on both coasters by early October. I was trusted that much but they still won't let me come back to rides. I don't get it.
  20. The words change remind me of tomorrow... But seriously, I think Cedar Fair could bring good things. Maybe even a kick a$$ B&M, Diamondback!
  21. There was an older guy that worked in the Action Zone with us. He was a lot older than 30 that's all I know. Well if you work enough hours and maybe get promoted, it could be worth it. I only live about 20 minutes away though so it doesn't make a difference for me.
  22. okay, i'm having a brain fart, what does ml stand for? Millie force - Cedar Point Wouldn't it be MF then?
  23. Try riding is all alone in the front seat. Now that's fun. ....I'm a SoB fan
  24. I worked in the rides department for the post season mostly for 2008 on SoB and Flight Deck. However, I was terminated because of safety violations (left up a lapbar in an empty seat twice) but I get to come back to the park and work as an Admissions Associate. It was the most amazing job ever. Everyone on my crew were really nice and I had tons and tons of fun. I wish I could go back to rides but I can't for a couple years but I am still very grateful to be working in Admissions because of the free season pass and I just love Kings Island so much I would work in any position. They give you schedule request forms and you put down days you cannot work. But if something comes up and you can't work, you can find someone and switch shifts with them just by filling out a form and getting a sig. from a supervisor. I worked at SoB but I took a shift at Delirium after I was trained there. Fun? YES! I looked forward to working every single day. I worked from park open to park close on a Halloween Haunt night when the park was open until 1 am. Our crew was always the last rides crew out so we would leave around 2 on those nights. But hey we were getting paid! I highly recommend it. I couldn't believe I was getting paid to operate a roller coaster! But remember to take it seriously, it is a job concerning the safety of the public.
