Best places to propose at Kings Island?
Wasn't there a wedding ceremony held on Drop Tower when it opened?

Six Flags and Cedar Fair Merge
Psst- there's more to parks than coaster count.

Its 294 miles to Chicago, its dark, and we're wearing sunglasses- silver2005's Indiana/Chicago/Cleveland TR and Planning
I have a question about using my pass at SFGAm. I know the add ons like the meal plan and all season FL won't work, but do I still get discounts on food, merch, and/or parking? Also, could someone explain the difference between Fast Lane and Flash Pass?

Disregard this post.

How many times have you ridden Windseeker?!?!
I always try to ride it once per visit, so my ride count is probably in the dozens. Of the 4 I've ridden (KI, CP, Carowinds, KD), I'd go with CP's being my favorite with Lake Erie in view, though that one is also the least likely to be running due to the winds.

Action Zone Redevelopment
^Because what Action Zone needs is more concrete... Why not just use the current queue area as the pre-show and save all that unnecessary space you used for the queue for said new ride/restaurant? That queue seems like massive overkill for a Drop Tower.

Wings Diner
I went there a lot with my family when it was Wings. They served Montgomery Inn fare, mostly ribs. The name Wings was in reference to a very old Paramount movie. It was also the first movie to win Best Picture. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0018578/

Would you welcome a 2010s Six Flags cloned ride?
I actually like both the examples given. A clone of Cyborg at SFGAdv would be cool, too.

The Best KI Rides To Ride At Night!
Beast is my favorite in the park, but a few ones after that for me are Diamondback, Banshee and Bat. One thing I miss about Racer night rides are the chaser lights that ran all the way down to the turnarounds. For non-coasters- Delirium, Drop Tower and WindSeeker.

Xtreme Skyflyer is being Removed
I see a perfect pad for an S&S Screaming Swing if this is true.

An apparent “leak” suggesting Kingda Ka is getting the axe
Personally, I preferred Top Thrill Dragster to Kingda Ka. TTD only had lapbars compared to the meh OTSR's on Ka. Also, they didn't do great on maintaining Ka's paint as it felt like you were going over a highway rumble strip at 128 mph. The extra hill didn't really add all that much IMO. Though, Big Droppy Thing (the Drop Tower connected to Ka which I'm to lazy to look up the spelling), was my favorite Drop Tower. I think a lot of people forget they're losing 2 rides with this. SFGAdv could definitely use a Drop Tower soon.

Considering I'll be going mid-July, I hope so. I have more hopes for that than TT2 at least.

Go-To Meal and Snack Place
That's my go-to usually as well. It is a lesser place now with the lack of said trees, but its still cool-ish with the added moisture coming off the fountain. Also helps if there is saxophone ERT going on at the bandstand. I'm also fond of the Coney Skyline patio and the RT Potato Works patio. There's a bunch of the traditional foods I haven't had in a while at KI which I will try to remedy this season- blue ice cream, funnel cakes, and the Potato Works fries. I do fancy Auntie Anne's pretty often as well, especially their cinnamon pretzels and flavored lemonade. Also, Jukebox- completely underrated, albeit very busy most of the time.

What’s your favorite Restroom?
I feel the one I have the less complaints about is the one by Banshee. The only one I avoid is Festhaus, mostly due to its popular location indoors.

Here is a tentative itinerary in terms of days of the week as I'm trying to work this around my community band schedule this summer. I'm trying to only miss one band rehearsal (on Wednesdays) and hit the parks I want on weekdays. I will have Fast Lane/Flash Pass for the respective parks that have them. This also has some weather flexibility built in as well. I will also be doing a different lodging plan for the Ohio part as I want a break from staying in Port Clinton. Likely staying between Sandusky and Cleveland this time around. Tuesday- Leave for Indiana Beach and visit Wednesday- Travel to Chicago, possible half day visit to SFGAm Thursday- SFGAm Friday- Downtown Chicago exploration Saturday- Travel to Sandusky/Cleveland Sunday- Downtown Cleveland exploration Monday and Tuesday- Cedar Point For HW and KK, I'm likely doing KK on the way to Santa Claus on a Sunday and doing HW on a Monday and Tuesday (one day for the water park).

Flash Pass is definitely part of the plan for SFGAm.

Coasterstock 2025
I've ridden Beast in a straight up thunderstorm at night, where, somehow, they still dispatched despite lightning, and I was hunched down in 4-2 (a zen ride no less) protecting my face from rain bullets. Probably the most insane and painful Beast ride I've ever had.

Its 294 miles to Chicago, its dark, and we're wearing sunglasses- silver2005's Indiana/Chicago/Cleveland TR and Planning
So after a year getting back on my feet from various life setbacks, I can finally get a trip planned for this summer. This go around I'm planning on a mid west trip involving Indiana Beach, Six Flags Great America and Cedar Point whilst visiting Chicago and Cleveland for the first time. I was initially planning to catch a Reds game in either Cleveland or Chicago, but they're in Cleveland a little before the time frame I want this trip and aren't even in Chicago through June or July. I'm planning on Holiday World as well (likely 2 days to get Splashin' Safari in), but that'll likely be a separate trip (might squeeze in KK on the way there as well). I'm still pondering whether to do 1 or 2 days for CP. As for planning, I am pretty set with Cleveland as I have a lot of college friends in the area to help me with that, but I could use any Chicago tips (particularly good pizza spots). It'll be a 2 day stay there, one for exploring downtown and one for SFGAm. SFGAm and IB tips are also welcome, especially trying to do the former in one day.

Kentucky Kingdom
Looking pretty good. The areas around the coaster now formerly known as Thunder Run needed sprucing up, and this is definitely a good start. https://www.kentuckykingdom.com/explore-the-park/attractions/kentucky-kingdom/discovery-meadow/?fbclid=IwY2xjawIZgitleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHcw42qTF6xl-Eq7UC7bkHrBoLxOrD_FgPyh0m3V1xw99r6vcvsaBRhQhUg_aem__YvuVvw89u9hqflBm0NqtQ

Kings Island 2024 Food Reviews and Discussion
Also, that award goes to food quality as a whole, not just a few select spots in the park while the rest is meh. As someone who's been to Knoebels, BGW, and Dollywood, there are many parks out there that steamroll KI's food selection and quality.

An apparent “leak” suggesting Kingda Ka is getting the axe
^Is all you do now is just post the same thing over and over again? The dead horse you're continually beating is decomposing at this point.

An apparent “leak” suggesting Kingda Ka is getting the axe
Also, when Banshee was being decoded, a good portion of the members of this site were dead set on it not having any larger stats than Raptor, but yet...

An apparent “leak” suggesting Kingda Ka is getting the axe
So riddle me this people who are on the KK conspiracy train- if they're taking KK down, for, as you say, to let TT2 reign supreme, how does that now factor in with the very real possibility that TT2 may be torn down if Zamperla fails to deliver? Also, 'lackluster' is a very subjective word to use.

@BoddaH1994 posted its $25 million over 2 years. Must be some expensive shows.

Kentucky Kingdom commits to major capital in the next two years
You're saying that in a thread which has the title of having Herschend giving a major investment to KK. Kinda falls flat.
