  1. Even though KI has their own department to work on the PTC's, I generally like the trains that do go back to PTC more than KI's Racer and Beast sets. The ones rehabbed by PTC feel like they track better to me from a ride comfort standpoint. The sets at KI are just more padded than most other sets. I almost want KI just to get 7 all new PTC trains if they stick with them, or at least 4 for Racer's 50th.
  2. In case you missed the point of me posting that video, @NegativeGs asked if the trims were original which is a resounding yes.
  3. Even if they were different systems, they served the same purpose being in the same spots. Another thing people have to realize is that Beast probably uses one of the heaviest trains on a wooden coaster out there. Even with the lower track with it being a terrain coaster, that's a lot of wear and tear through the corners.
  4. Here's your answer. POV circa 1979. Trims on the same places sans the helix.
  5. I'm glad the 10 pm closes are back, especially with my new job and the shorter hours.
  6. @malem can test his weather resistance riding a coaster in the snow without winter wear at last. Eat your heart out GCI.
  7. On trains, while I would take Millennium Flyers on Beast in a heartbeat, my concern would be a drop in capacity unless GCI is willing to make their trains go above 12 cars. Beast needs long trains since its such a long coaster without a modern/efficient block system. MF's are also way more proven than Timberliners.
  8. I'm guessing it's just some routine retracking. The bottoms of the first 2 drops and the curves in and out of the brake run need some TLC.
  9. Double secret probation confirmed. silver2005, inter-cross threading.
  10. Its a wonderful concoction of chili, Philly cream cheese, and cheddar cheese. Wait, wrong thread. Or, crossthreading?
  11. You guys, it obviously needs to be Big Droppy Thing, duh.
  12. Could they also rename it to something less generic?
  13. I'm hoping something involving most of Drop Tower being in black.
  14. ^Some even needed spare track and supports.
  15. ^That was my reaction to CF passing up on moving Knott's Boomerang to MIA.
  16. The Adventure Express station could use a face-lift, too.
  17. Also to be further away from the paint spray.
  18. @King Ding Dong must be at KI today, RT Freestyle is closed.
  19. I'm guessing they're painting all the tall things for the 50th at this point. Diamondback repaint next? WindSeeker doesn't need it IMO though.
  20. Adventure Express is painted?
  21. And, in predictable fashion, crickets from coaster sally.
