I ditto Jasper. I first got the guts in 93 to ride The Beastie, then stepped up to The Racer in 96. I technically rode the Keelboats in 92' for my first big ride, but didn't feel like a big kid because it wasn't a roller coaster! Dang, The Beastie was such a freakin' big deal back then!!! I rode The Beast many years later, in 1998 lol!

I seriously think Rivertown keeps getting drier and drier! Lol! I mean, first the lake is drained, then KCKC is annihilated, finally swan lake is removed. Soon they'll have to change the area name.

See after riding the front car (which IS the best) on SOB in both trains, my friend and I thought the blue one was MUCH smoother than the red. The red seemed to jerk vertically more and have a jagged front wheel or something. Then again, maybe they reparied it Flop... I guess that would make sense as flop usually means failure, and since log flumes (or hydroflumes) were meant to cool guests off on a hot summer day and KCKC did NOT do that thus gave it the nickname flop. lol I just cannot see Cedar Fair being able to renovate those kiddie rides. SO many kids love the nick theming and I believe it would be REALLY hard for their little minds to accept new ride theming and names. (As opposed to adult ride name changes, which aren't so bad)

Cool, now we know the kids area wont be changing anytime soon. SOB sounds normal. SO! Does anyone have a clue why the undisputed nickname of KCKC was coined as "flop"? Even by employees?

Hey! Just wondering on a couple things. 1. Will Cedar Fair lose the right to name all the nick universe stuff? I REALLY don't know how they will keep their kids area intact if they suddenly pull the names off ALL the rides. 2. Why on earth was Kenton's Cove Keelboat Canal's slang name "flop"? I've been wondering for a while. And why was the decison reversed to remove it and not the smaller one? 3. Was Son of Beast changed at all this season? (Like new brakes added to slow it down, even subtly) I ask because I heard people complaining last season.
