By a new dark ride experience, they mean the ride formally known as SDATHC, and they said it will still feature the guns. It will not be Peanuts themed, and the fact that they refered to it as a "Dark Ride Experience" means it's gotta be something special. 041710!

I would assume that is why they are quite possibly very honest with their statement that no decision has been made on Son of Beast. It would make sense to wait until after things settle down to see who owns who, who's managing what, and where the money is.

While it would be an incredibly smooth ride (And dare I say it, probably fun!), look at how heavy those rails are. That would just cause even more strain on the structure. Plus, one of the beauties of Wooden Coasters is the slight jarring, shaking, rattling. Steel Rails just seems to eliminate the purpose. IMO, of course. Jackson, waiting for Terpy and his Toro....

And why do you say that? As much as I love Intamin rides, they have a tendency to maintenance issues, especially when first opened. Lots of rides under Intamin's belt (Xcelerator, Top Thrill Dragster, Kingda Ka, Maverick, on and on) have had problem after problem and headache after headache. So, as far as a maintenance standpoint goes, Intamin rides could be considered crap.

And those are all Non-Roller Coasters, and most, much older. I was referring to the numerous maintenance troubles that usually come with prototype Intamins.

One can draw many possible reasons for the rapid buying of all that voting rights and stock, I'm inclined to believe however that they can succesfully kill this sale without a nearly 1/5 ownership of the company being sold. On the subject of Q, Cedar Fair is on their hands and knees begging for some Yes votes, and yet there is no one urdging for a No vote. Why? Methinks its because they don't need to. So if a good majority of shareholders of FUN are already to vote No, what be the point of buying over a third of Cedar Fair, LP? Certainly not because they wish get their name in a record book. Do they have a plan thunk up? I'd concur with Dear Terp here. But is it Ingeneous? That, in my opinion, at least, depends on how it effects the parks they'd aquire.
