2011 - Canada's Wonderland
GCI Coaster for KI 2011? Exactly, let's avoid that train wreck this time.

2011 - Canada's Wonderland
From what I've heard, the stakes behind Planet Snoopy are yellow (Which means land clearing, apparently) and there's only 5 or 6. There are tons of red stakes underneath Vortex, Skyrider, and some yellow stakes in the area near Timberwolf Falls, their flume ride. The people on CWMania are driving themselves crazy guessing what it could be, but from what I've heard it's a B&M Invert, though it's just random guessing until we see anything aside from stakes. I mean, like Robbie said, they could mean anything. It wouldn't be the first time we've been kidding ourselves with these rumors.

How much longer will KI's coasters/major rides last?
The supports haven't been painted. They were originally darker then the track, so they still have some color after fading.

Ok, this is just plain awful.

New flags in IS?
I think they look marvelous.

Kings Island's 5@5 Q&A Thread
5-1 people crack me up. 7-1 all the way

New flags in IS?
I like it. It makes the entry feel even more dramatic, the proud American flag waving in front of the fountains and beautiful tower. It looks very patriotic and adds a lot of grandure. Anyone who's complaining about the flag getting in the way of your view, suck it up, you can deal with our national symbol of everything country stands for in your way, can't you? Honestly, people. It's our own Stars and Stripes.

Best Cedar Fair Park?
........ How can one be expected to vote for one of these if they've only been to two, three, maybe four? It's impossible to tell by looking at PTRs and their ride lists, plus what one loves in one park they may hate in another (see above) As to the CF parks I've been to (KI and CP), CP takes the cake. Baby, I'm ready to go....

DollyWood
....... Be sure to focus on more then the roller coasters. The park has a level of detail where it has a friendly, inviting nature, and still manages to satisfy an entire days' worth. Eat at a restaurant, go shopping, see a show. Also, don't miss Blazing Fury. That is one helluva dark ride!

How much longer will KI's coasters/major rides last?
Trust me, I've seen it pre 2001. I'm saying it didn't need it in 2009. It made the rails oranger and the wheels squeakier.

Flight Deck
Are you suggesting that the fate of Vortex at Canada's Wonderland may bear indication to the future of our beloved Flight Deck? If so, there's a post on this board I can quote somewhere... However, that is directed at 2012 new attractions, not the future of current rides. There could be a correlation, but that's for the ones who know such things to decide. On with the show!...

How much longer will KI's coasters/major rides last?
Park love and coaster painting, as I see it, have no correlation. Though, I still think it's ridiculous that Vortex gets painted in 2001 and again in 2009 when it doesn't need it, and then Flight Deck goes unpainted and rotting for years.

Flight Deck
*Vortex at Canada's Wonderland Stakes under Vortex, so it may soon go from 4 to 3.

How much longer will KI's coasters/major rides last?
Racer at least got some trackwork this year and last.

I laugh out loud anytime I hear this.

Construction anywhere?
Or, as it was said in another thread, Iron Dragon.

That sounds absolutely incredible, up until the "Replace our suspended" part.

Train Tours to be offered in 2010
Wow. Way to go!! I unfortunately missed the Train Tour because of the rain, but this just rocks. Multiple tours offered? Thanks a million, a great idea!

Construction anywhere?
Unless I'm missing something (Which I must be), CW getting a Beemer similar to DB one year later does not a pattern make.

Shoot The Rapids, Now Open (June 26)
It was a joke. I love Intamin rides, The Force, Dragster and Maverick are my #2, 3, and 4 steels, respectively. I've never felt as though any of the rides I've ridden (Aside from Son of Beast) have put me in danger. I used the term 'Harmful Manufacturer' as a refrence to people who use Harmful Drugs, hence the entire post. It was all satire to sound like a drug addiction. Intamin makes great rides, but the constant downtime and late openings and maintenance costs are a bit rediculous IMO. Again, it was a joke. And who's JacksonPKI?

Flight Deck
And knowing Cedar Fair, they aren't going to stand for a tie. Terpy once mentioned sneaking two kiddie coasters in to put a distance between them. On the subject of Flight Deck, however, I honestly don't see it going anywhere in the next 5 years, at least. It's a great moderate family attraction, and is still very high in ridership. A lack of paint does not mean anything about their plans for it.

Construction anywhere?
Or 40th, whatever you choose.

Shoot The Rapids, Now Open (June 26)
^Don't kid yourself, Firehawk. It's a Cedar Fair park, there's trash bins every 5 feet. It's VERY clean. It's spiffy, there's lots of diversity in rides, there's sit down restaurants, on site hotels, campgrounds, a beautiful location, it's still one of the best parks in the world. And attendance has gone down, at a lot of parks. It's not the park itself, however, supposedly it's the economy.
