New for 2011 Windseeker!
Construction on WindSeeker? None that I'm aware of. I was at the park yesterday and from the midway there is no construction visible, assuming it is going to the immediate left of Vortex's exit most of it is hidden by fences and trees. I wouldn't expect noticeable construction to begin for a while, considering the small footprint of the ride. It will be interesting though to watch it go up over the off-season. In an unrelated note, is anyone else here anxious to see how well they landscape and rejuvinate the area near the new ride? I consider landscaping a large part of the amusement park experience and look forward to see what Kings Island does with it, if done correctly they can make quite a beautiful area back there!

New for 2011 Windseeker!
The hardest criticism usually comes from people who love it the most....or some other form of that quote. I'm in no way defending PizzaBoy ("HA") but I am saying that critique does not mean dislike. If I were from anywhere else in the country I would probably hate Kings Island.....but I don't....I love it. I have no idea why but through all its many flaws I love it. Anyhow, On with the show!

Kings Island's next coaster
Why no mouse? I personally think a spinning wild mouse (similar to that of Spinning Dragons) in the area occupied by Starlight, spanning the midway would be great! But, if I had to choose.....probably a B&M inverted where Flight Deck is or a GCI twisted where Thunder Alley is. Maybe a TGG in X Base that goes out into the woods like Voyage? Or a B&M floorless in Action Zone? The possibilities are limitless.

Holiday World 2011
O rly? How do you know?

Holiday World 2011
I don't see why, it was 5 years from Raven to Legend and 6 years from Legend to Voyage, it's been 5 years since Voyage so it could very well be one. That being said, I think it's a flat ride not because it's too early, but because of the lack of buzz around it. If it were a coaster, the entire Enthusiast community would be a stir.

Six Flags Over Georgia: New for 2011
Looks like a good ride (I thoroughly enjoyed Mystery Mine) but I really hate it when parks make claims like that. Honestly, do they take us for idiots or are they too lazy to do a fact check themselves? Pathetic. Jackson, who's getting his Mind busted...for the first time ever 3 times in a row!

Responsibility in Information Posting
Aww, I kinda enjoy all of the insider tips from people's mother's sister's daughter's boyfriend's dads who tell me that Drop Tower was installed upside down!

Ahh, Terpy and his puns are back!

Halloween Haunt to Feature Half-Pint Brawlers
Michael Jackson, Farah Fawcet, Steve McNair, the list goes on. And while they took them down, it did get them international headlines....

Halloween Haunt to Feature Half-Pint Brawlers
And I thought standup coasters were gimmicky and lame....

First Time To Holiday World
You're in Jasper and have never been to Holiday World? Do Raven, then Legend, then Voyage. This is the order that I did them my first time, and in my opinion the order from worst to best. That's not to say that one is bad, all 3 are better woodies then any wood at KI, IMO. Raven is resembles what Beast should have been, Legend is an ideal wooden coaster with positive, negative, and lateral G's abound, and Voyage is z0mfg. I suggest you try Voyage in the front Don't forget to try out all of the other things at Holiday World, Liberty Launch is surprisingly good, HallowSwings are for some reason epic, if you like Boo Blasters you'll love Gobler Gateway, and I think their waterpark is fantastic....and I'm not a waterway guy!

If we could get some of KI's defunct flats back...
FLYING EAGLES! Then Antique Cars. Other then that, I don't know enough about KI's flat history to make a good judgement.

The Windseeker Poll!
Excited I guess is the best way to describe it, I'm not "ZOMFG GET ME ON THIS ASAP" Like I was with Diamondback, but I'm not bored with it. It's a good addition and I'm looking forward to it. It'll probably be one of the first things I do that day. I think they both look good, but I like this one a bit better. Overall, good job KI!

New for 2011 Windseeker!
A few things: 1: The ride looks great. It's a much needed addition to KI, we haven't had a good flat addition in a while. 2: Can anyone truly imagine what it's like to be suspended 300 feet in the air, with no floor, and just a lap bar? I'm not being a park cheerleader when I say that it actually seems scary and thrilling. 3: I talked with Don after the announcement, he said the ride placement would be near Vortex's exit, adjacent to the Euro Bobbles. It's still kinda vague, I think he means the old lazer dome.

Canada's Wonderland announces WindSeeker
http://canadaswonderland.com/attractions/detail.cfm?ai_id=691 Aside from the rather unoriginal name, I like it.

New at KI in 2011
I'll be in the Festhaus at 2pm. I have a 3G phone and will be able to post directly to KIC.

New at KI in 2011
2:00 pm. Don't expect to hear anything until about 2:30 pm though, it takes a while to get from the park to the internets....

New at KI in 2011
Where in the park is it going to be announced? I'm gonna be at KI tomorrow and I'd like to see the unveiling, if they're going to do it in park.

NEW FOR 2011
http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/2010/8/23/Whoops!.cfm The only thing I can make of it is that the picture is probably a 3D rendering of the ride area that will be used for the Concept Art; imagine the 3D rendering of Diamondback for the announcement but minus Diamondback itself.

Holy crap, that's new! (I'm calling Wind Seeker, woot woot!)

NEW FOR 2011
Not legit at all. I like the part where it said the capacity is 1,832 people per hour. Lol. Not to mention it said it'd be the biggest investment in Cedar Fair history, $32 million, while Maverick was what, $50 million?

Coaster Events in 2010
^The Latest ACE Southwest Ohio E-Mail. I hope that this event comes through, I find myself disappointed that they said they'd be "Holding Several Smaller events instead of a few big ones like Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend", and here we are coming up on Weekend Operations again, so far, nil. Unless perhaps you count the train tours, which I must point out were open to the public for a while. Before people start with the "KI doesn't have to have the events, you know", I'm saying that we were told there would be events, and there weren't.
