  1. Well if you go on a saturday in July then the park is open to midnight. Also yes the Crypt was put in a crypt basically. BLSC is a very under-estimated coaster.
  2. Thank you. I saw it on Saturday and couldn't figure out why it was there
  3. Why is there a Rubik's Cube outside of the International Showplace?
  4. Now that I figured out how to post from my samsung sync I'd post it before I got home
  5. those numbers were just stickers that the auction winners were given, I believe
  6. So is that why Vortex has fully sunk yet? Sorry I could not resist
  7. So yesterday on AE the ride op was talking in an intimidating force "Adventure Express will take you through four tunnels. Raise you up 65 feet, and send you down the hill at speeds up to 35 MPH. " I thought it was great that he was trying to make AE sound like it was just as good as Son of Beast or Diamondback
  8. Ok so yesterday I am walking to the front gate, so i am in the parking lot, and i see a couple walking away from the front gate, looking at a map and the guy says "Amanda I think The Beast is over there", as he pointed into the parking lot.
  9. im up to 36 now
  10. thank you that is good news
  11. I have a question, does a single rider have to stand in the SRL or can he stand in the regular line?
  12. Colonel_SoB_fan replied to btcain's topic in Rumors
welcome to KIC, this is highly unlikely
  13. First thing would be to put as much money as I needed to, to get Screechin Eagle from Americana over to Kings Island and make it enjoyable again. Second would be bring back Skylab. Third make Son of Beast the World's Fastest, Tallest, and only looping roller coaster again, while using lighter trains. Then finally with whatever i have left over will go to security and breathalyzers for security and bar workers to stop people from getting plowed and try to ride Diamondback and Son of Beast or any other ride because there shall be no Drinking and Riding. Edit I can not spell
  14. Son of Beast without a doubt in my mind. I am in the few that for whatever reason do not feel pain on this ride. I love the slow hike up the 218 foot hill, the teaser twiter around to the 214 foot drop at almost 80 MPH. Also someone mentioned earlier mean streak I enjoy mean streak as well, and again dont feel that much pain on it as well.
  15. I'm on 32 rides. Including a trimless and minimum midcourse brake ride on my first ever row 1 seat yesterday
  16. On Drop Tower we were at the top and we hear a voice countdown "10, 9, 8, 7, 6" then we drop. One of the Diamondback ops always says "You must wear shoes when riding Diamondback, so please don't throw them at me"
  17. I love Sonny yes sometimes there pain but your get that on most coasters ever built
  18. I am lazy and usually do not do these but since i have some good photos I will. First we arrive around after the BMX finals, so i missed that but before the FMX demo. I walk around the park and check out the lines and see Diamondback was not that bad, but everything else was. After a trip around it almost time for show time and head to the Main Gate and see these guys, I call them bucket line. Took a few shots of the ramps and got a front row standing place to get good photos and videos of the action. Then it was demo time. Before i show off these pics I must say this was awesome. 3 guys who were just out having fun and risking their lives for the entertainment of us Americans, what a way to celebrate Memorial Day weekend. This was my first FMX event and hopefully not the last. Great show. After the FMX Demo there was about 45 minutes between demo and Skateboarding vert finals so I hit up the 30 minuite wait for Diamondback. Great ride in row 8. After Diamondback it was time to see the Worlds greatest skatboarder on a vert, Pierre Luc Gagnon. PLG had won the last 7 events on the ASA World Tour, but would be upset by 35 year old Danny Mayer. Great to see these guys competing for a world title but still being friends while on the vert and competing. So after PLG got upset there was some time before the Pop Evil and Collective Soul. Not really my style of music, but how can you turn down a free concert. Although the bands were not my style of music, I did think they did a great job and liked how Pop Evil acknowledged the fact the there were little children in the crowd and watched what was said into the microphones. The highlight for me though was this . Yes that is Drop Tower STUCK at its highest point. Ironically that was close to 45 minutes after I turned down the line because it was 45 minutes according to the sign out front. Ugh that should been me. Here is a pic of the Collective Soul concert I ended up leaving a few songs into the concerts, went and did Flight Deck, Blue Racer, and of course a night ride on Diamondback. Great ride at night and as we finished the splashdown the first firework into the sky. Absolutely Amazing. Fast forward to 10 AM on Memorial Day, arrive back at Kings Island and find Diamondback stuck 230 feet in the air like this It would stay there until about 11:15 and would finally open at 11:30. During that time I did the Crypt, Beast, Backlot Stunt Coaster, and Vortex. After that I went and did Diamondback since it had just opened and only had about a 15 minute wait. After Diamondback the amazing Son of Beast was calling my name. After a 20 minute wait I was sitting in the second row on the Blue Train, amazing ride all I can say. After SOB went and did Drop Tower in 10 minutes. After this Diamondback still had a relatively short line so I went and did row 2 on the red snake after a 25 minute. So after 2 days in the park I was exhausted so I left. Thank You Kings Island for putting on an amazing weekend. Where Else Also if you want to see all my photos go to my photobucket page http://s123.photobucket.com/albums/o320/fhsmvball07/ I have youtube videos of the action but they are crap
  19. So Diamondback did not open untill after 11:30 today and I saw mechanics back in the woods around the 5th hill and helix looking at the footings or footers. Maybe there is something to the original post
  20. I waited that line last sunday really it just about 25-30 minutes
  21. Son of Beast is a great ride and worth the wait. Yes it can be rough but it a wooden coaster. It father is just as rough and it amazing people dont cry about it as much. From my experiences the farther in front you are the smoother it is, but my last SOB ride last sunday I was in the back on logo less red train and it was really smooth. Vortex I'm about your height and yes you will get head banged, but again I feel like it well worth it. Vortex is a classic coaster that you just cant get a better sinking feeling on, sorry I could not resist. Also welcome to KIC
  22. I know the 5th and 6th graders at Monroe Elementary in Hamilton will be at Kings Island on friday
  23. Also check out these pics on the Journal-News web page http://projects.journal-news.com/galleries...nts/kicentral2/
  24. How much longer will Thunder Alley be at Kings Island? I noticed that the cars no longer have decals on them, and from what i seen never really a popular ride. I would be shocked to see them racing next year
