Good to hear I'm not the only one getting sick of the same people constantly crying about the pain in every SOB thread. I think it funny these people claim they hate the ride, but yet they spend their whole lives talking about how much they hate it. At least you don't hear SOB fans crying to take out their least fav rides, as much as the SOB haters do

I voted other for Son of Beast because of various reasons. It has the height, speed, and intensity. Also it would not be easy for some of the GP to just sit there and answer questions on SOB, like they could on Diamondback. Diamondback anyone can just sit there and have a convo like they were not on the ride, because it so smooth

Went to Kings Island for an hour of ERT on Diamondback and got the very first Diamondback train on the day. I ended up getting 10 rides on Diamondback before the crowds got there. On one of the rides I shared my 52nd ride with a lady named Darlene 400th ride on Diamondback. I'd like to congratulate her on the feat. The Dback ops announced it over the mics to announce the feat. 400 rides is unbelievable. After Diamondback ran over to Firehawk and was the first rider on the yellow train. Note that the yellow train did not open with the ride due to mechanical reasons. After Firehawk I went over to Flight of Fear while it was still a walk on. After FOFhit up Drop Tower and waited 10 minutes, this would be my final ride on the day as it was WAY to crowded. Again congrats to Darlene on 400.

Last I rode it was 1 week ago today and although it was raining, the ride was still smoother than AE, Vortex, Invertigo, and Beast

I guessed that on opening day when they were hanging up, because Media Day was just the day before and no way those banners were made in a day.

But can you imagine how many hot dogs/marshmallows we'd go through before the fire went out? o.O Then none of you can fit on Diamondback and will make the line shorter for me Maybe all us KIC'ers who like Son of Beast should band together and just ride it over and over one day if this current problem gets resolved. Great Idea. I am all for this. If this is what they are doing, then I will give it another chance. I will ride it however your supposed to with an open mind, trying to give it a chance. Son of Beast could become a good ride if they give it the proper overhaul. Speaking of which, does anyone here think Mean Streak is smoother this year? Yes Sorry I could not resist

If there was a split beam the ride would be shut down. I'm pretty sure they inspect the ride before park opening and have "a team of experts" looking at the wood to make sure

Firehawk opened may 26 and if memory serves me right it was pretty close to 4 dollars a gallon

but even relocated rides cost CF money, yes not as much as if they had called up vekoma and asked for brand new rides, but still a few nickels were spent on relocating. I'd guess more on Firehawk since it a bigger ride and at the time of relocation gas was 100 nickels a gallon

Yes but we did have 2008 with no major new ride, but Carowinds opened Carolina Cobra this year and is already began construction on a new coaster to open in 2010

Terpy how come Carowinds is getting 2 coasters back to back, but you say KI wont get a coaster in "quite some time"? I'm just interested to see what you think of this how CF can afford to put money into Carowinds, but not KI.
