Guests Say The Darnest Things
while i was in line for Diamondback, some guy told his family he talked to someone in the park who said that gold passes now get you into Cedar Point. i then explained that they would not and that thats what they have platinum passes for but he was adamant. they were even planning a trip up there, i felt sorry cause not only would they have to buy tickets, but they couldn't even just upgrade to platinum because you have to do that at your home park. ugh...

New Upgrades
i noticed something odd. on SOB one of the two trains (im wanting to say it was the red train) was missing its logo on the front of the train. the other one had it though. Im also happy, because i got stuck on its lift hill saturday too! apparently one of the seats restraints in an empty seat wasnt down enough, they had to have some ride op and a few maintenance people go all the way up the hill to just push it down... and yes, i saw the yellow jumpsuit ladies everywhere, especially around the coney mall area.

Will you be able to sleep tonight before riding Diamondback?!
i know i can never sleep on nights like tonight, so in essence ive learned to not sleep or sleep very little the night before. last night I slept about 2 hours. at around 9, ill probably crash for the night!

Is Viking Fury going away?
this topic is kinda off, but i was there saturday, viking fury was open. also, tons of nickelodeon merchandise was on clearance, but just nickelodeon stuff. anything else was not, they even had this outdoor shop across from the locker rentals in front that had bins of nickelodeon stuff on clearance 65% off. i did also see a ton of scooby doo tshirts and merchandise that was not on clearance, but full price. the only thing non nickelodeon on clearance was some mugs and some random non Kings Island tshirts, like "rub my weiner for good luck" or a chuck norris or whatnot, novelty tees.

2009 Season Pass Renewals
so, im confused... how much will it be to renew a platinum pass? i would go check, but i dont want to put my pass number and everything in on that form, for fear that i wont be able to renew once i do that, and would have to pay full price... anyone have the tier of pricing for renewals? is it like 10 dollars cheaper?

AWESOME Beverage Deal for Passholders at KI!
8.99? are you serious? that is not cool... no wonder they didnt advertise it well... they were just figuring out exactly what people would pay for unlimited drinks....

AWESOME Beverage Deal for Passholders at KI!
i did contact Cedar Point, and they do not have it. the person posting was incorrect, however i would still like to know the answer for my question for future Kings Island trips...

AWESOME Beverage Deal for Passholders at KI!
well then what am i permitted to do? i would just like to know if it is ok for me to buy more drink wristbands for people in my group using my platinum pass, that is all. If i cant, i wont try it, but i didnt see anything about whether buying a wristband for a non-pass member being a pass member yourself was against the rules or not.

AWESOME Beverage Deal for Passholders at KI!
i have a question... although some say that non pass holders can in fact buy a drink wristband, i do not wish to encourage that. I want to know if it is just 1 wristband per season pass, or you just have to be a season pass holder to take advantage of this deal? Im going to Cedar Point (which also has this deal, i just checked pointbuzz forums) and would like to know if i can buy them for friends with my pass, or if they just simply cannot buy one unless they have a platinum pass...

This maybe the new ride name
mine definately said volcano on all 4 links. i doubt it has anything to do with the new coaster, its probably just from paramount copying the layouts of the websites between the parks...

Track OnSite at Kings Island

Music at the Waterpark
i heard it, and loved it! then again, the beach boys are my favorite band....

starlite admission and boomerang bay
if you can get inside the main park, you can get into boomerang bay while it is still open, its just common sense. When you pay for admission at Kings Island, it is for the main park and boomerang bay, not one or the other. you can just walk into boomerang bay with no ticket checks or anything, there would be no issue here.

AWESOME Beverage Deal for Passholders at KI!

Quick question.....can I bring my own food/drink into the park?
i think that its just a scare tactic to keep most people from doing so. if they said hey everyone bring in your food its allowed everyone would do so and then they would lose a ton of business at their food stands... its kinda like ft. pickens campground right on the beach in pensacola florida. they have signs everywhere that say no swimming on the beaches, even though they advertise swimming on the beach. We asked why they had these signs, and they said oh that way we keep most people from swimming, and if they do its at their own risk so we arent liable. When they have the rule of no food, most people just dont try and sneak food in, but those that do most often go unnoticed... I normally bring in a bag or two of swedish fish and some koolaid and lemonade mix in the plastic jars that you just add to water you get for free and they never have said anything to me.

Discount coupons
http://www.wcpo.com/content/news/localshow...5e-b7b58edaa0e9 this article even says that the offer is still valid after june 15th, it just goes up 5 dollars... it would still be nice to be absolutely sure from a person though...

Discount coupons
oh, good to know. thanks for correcting my misinformation. It seems this year the discount ticket prices keep fluctuating and are all temporary. It also depends on where you are before you left. the farther you are from Kings Island the steeper the discount. I remember seeing a thread about discount Kings Island tickets for 19.99 at a speedway in louisville kentucky, but others chimed in higher prices like 24.99 and 29.99 depending on seemingly how close locationwise they were from Kings Island. I would suggest trying speedways, as every time i have been to the ones in my area (dayton) they always have discounted tickets at the counter. those could have ended the same time as the kroger/meijer discount as well though, as they looked oddly farmiliar to the kroger/meijer tickets. Edit: @interp: i just did a quick google search, and found this article about Kings Island offering summer discounts. at the end, it mentions the 15$ discount per ticket from krogers and meijers, and that article was posted june 20th. would that just be wrong info, and it ended just a tad before that was posted? or could it be they renewed that discount? http://www.middletownjournal.com/hp/conten...ingsisland.html

Discount coupons
any krogers or meijers will have somewhat of a discount on the tickets, but the best option would be to buy the tickets online from a local hotel or library computer, you can do that and write down the confirmation number and get the tickets from the ticket sales desk i believe.
