As a smoker myself I have no problem with this policy. I don't feel like smokers should ruin other people's day (I think Kings Island has had a very bad smoking problem OUTSIDE of the smoking areas), but in the same regard I feel like non smokers should allow a designated smoking area without giving too much grief.

So how does everybody think the new staggered entrance times will affect wait times overall this season? Will be see shorter wait times on average just with longer socially distant lines?

This is exactly how I rationalize the Platinum pass and meal plan as well, literally try to plan trips to the other parks and always end back up at can't really beat Kings Island or Cedar Point both 2 hours away. (I have made it to Carowinds and Knotts both were incredible)

I mean your absolutely right - I greatly appreciate the fact they allowed the passholders the ability to be the first ones to ride Orion - I'm literally jumping up and down with excitement for the 2nd

Yeah I kinda thought the whole reason for having a platinum pass is that every trip I take I can go when I get there, then spend a whole day the next day, then spend like an hour before I leave the 3rd day. Its pretty sad that now a 2 day ticket is more valuable than a platinum pass

You can only book a future visit once you complete your current reservation.

They have announced the lot will not open earlier than 10:30

My real question is how many people are going to try to line up at the parking lot before 10:30?

As far as I understand it you will only be stopped at the front gate if you are early for your reservation and may be asked to return to your vehicle to wait.

1/2 the spots from opening day are already gone after less than an hour. I also noticed I didn't even get my email from Kings Island inviting me to make a reservation until 8:45 AM and the 10:30 spot for opening day was already gone at 8:30 AM.

1st spot opening day (July 2nd) at 10:30am, looks like its about to be full (100 spots left)

I wonder what time the reservations will be opening up, I haven't seen any updates or received an email from Kings Island yet

Still makes me wonder how early people will arrive and start lining up

If the new hours are 11:00 - 7:00 does that mean you are still allowed to go an hour early with a platinum pass?

You have to reserve an actual time to check in? I don't think Ive ever made it to Kings Island at the time I planned to in my entire life lol.

I am currently a platinum season pass holder, and I noticed on the available add-ons for the pass they have a meal plan specific to the platinum pass that allows you to dine in any park, but the drink plan options do not have a platinum specific version, is the regular drink plan you can add on valid at all parks?

I am SOOOO excited for the park to reopen. This will be the first summer of my entire life that I don't get to spend my birthday at an amusement park. - Side note do we know when we will be able to book reservations for July 2nd - Also is anything confirmed that Orion will be operating July 2nd

Yes, the boat ride line is at a T by the river. However there is no path along the river to the carousel. There is a boardwalk but it only goes to the rental pavilions which I believe are behind Asia Quest.The only way to get to the boat ride through public areas is via Australia and the Islands exhibits (past the gibbons and the komodo dragon). On the map posted above it shows empty space by the boardwalk, behind the carousel, but I'm pretty sure that's all admin buildings. Inncorrect there are no admin buildings there, it is a pretty open space, but if this exhibit is for just one year I cant see the Zoo really transforming the area too much, probably just the boat ride. Also when did you work thisride? you said the themeing was over a decade old, but this ride isnt even a decade old

That would be awesome i love the rainforest cafe, never been to the dinosaur one though that sounds pretty cool
