Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
They did the whole lift hill section yesterday. It was off camera view so we couldn't see it being erected. But we saw the white crane.

King Cobra or Mantis and why
For me, the first time I rode Mantis, my whole body was numb. My legs were killing me, because it was my first stand up and I wasn't used to it. But now everytime I ride it, it does nothing to my body. That's the most frequent ride ridden by me when I'm there. The oblique loop is my favorite inversion on Mantis. As for King Cobra, it was torn down before I was addicted to coasters.

Rollbacks?
^I was on 2 TTD rollbacks last year. 1 TTD rollback this year. As well as a Maverick rollback this summer. I'm going to have to say that the TTD rollbacks are way better!

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
^Alright. Well, lets move on. About the footings/footers argument, I've always called them footers. I'm sticking to it. What do you all call them??

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
Alright. You know what? If it'll make everyone here happy. I'll start calling it a hammerhead. I'm very sorry for expressing my opinion. EDIT: Well that explains it there. I forgot that B&M names elements differently than Premier, Vekoma, etc. So this conversation is over. Enough said.

^Well take a look at the way that Silver Star, Behemoth, Nitro go into the hammerhead. As they go into it, they curve to the right then curve to the left into the turn. But in Nitro's case, it's the opposite turn. But in DB's case, it goes straight into the turn. Take BLSC for example, it goes straight into the turn, and its called an overbank. DB does the same exact thing.

^Hmm... i've always called them footers, but they both sound good/accurate to me.

WHOA! Who said I was fighting?? I don't believe there were any fighting words used in my past 2 posts. But I'm not going to sit here and have this cyber "argument" over a bolded word. That's not my style. All I'm saying is, Behemoth's, Nitro's, Silver Star's turns are completely different looking than DB's. And their turns are called Hammerhead turns. DB's doesn't look that much like it. Alright. Let's stop the silly little arguments, and move on.

^Hmm.. Well lift hill pieces were shipped in yesterday. So I'm hoping that they start it ASAP! But other than that, they are just working on the bunny hops.

^Indeed it is! I'm looking forward to DB to slither back into the woods for the OVERBANK turn. I'm hoping that we'll be able to see it fom the highway.

Thoughts on KI After a 5-year Absence
^Ah, ok. I see now. I was not aware of that. Well now I see why they took it out.

Thoughts on KI After a 5-year Absence
^I wish they could have put Delirium somewhere else because I wasn't a "coaster nerd" until about 4 yrs ago. And I never went to (P)KI consistantly, until 2005 season. But now I regret not riding King Cobra when I had the chance in 1998 and 2001. I guess I can just go to King Cobra's cousin in King's Dominion.

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
Really, that's not a word. So it's ok. Although I don't see what a period has to do with Diamondback. Whatever. Hey, sorry about that "period" post. I had posted a picture from the web cam, not knowing that someone else has already posted it. And I don't know how to completely delete my post, so I put the "." there. I'm very sorry everyone.

^Eh, Clifford didn't really move that much. =[ The only thing I saw him do was put a metal bar where that missing piece is.

^That's not Clifford. Notice how the arm is black?? Clifford's is red and it looks different. EDIT: Look at the picture a couple posts back. You can see the white crane.

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
^Indeed it is. It's sad that we can barely see it now, but look on the bright side, it's that much closer to being done. but we can still see a tad bit of the hill contruction, if they ever start on it.
