Well, I hope that doesn't mean it's gone for the season b/c that's part of the fun of that ride - both while riding it and while messing around after you get off of it.

As long as Vortex continues to draw in a crowd - which is true b/c there's always at least a 15 minute wait - I can't imagine it going anywhere. That'd be stupid.

I've never done the pay to rides at KI. I always talk myself out of it, afraid it'll be a waste of money. Though, I have a friend who swears to me that the slingshot thing is a blast and he has spent money on it on more than one occasion.

I just don't understand the need for the seatbelts on Top Gun or Vortex. They were fine the past couple years, right? So, what's the sudden need for them now? Has something (other than owners) changed?

I've seen many prizes handed off that weren't truly won. At one of the basketball games on Saturday, this kid (maybe 9 or 10) made only one basket, but the guy behind the counter let him have a bigger prize since he'd been trying so hard. That's nice, but then my nephew (7) who spent his last $5 didn't get anything and I know he was thinking, "Well that's not fair." But he didn't say anything about it.

Well, honestly, the ratings have never affected me. I'll ride and make my own decision. Though, it is a bit weird that Drop Zone would be the same as Adventure Express.

I agree with JxAx. I love Top Gun, but it's over too quickly. Nothing beats the view from the front seat. I really hope it stays. It's one of my favorite rides.
