For you season passholders: I've heard ever since the CF takeover that there were rumors that Fearfest was going to be an upcharge attraction sometime in the near future. I see two sides to the equation: First, it stinks because I'm now used to getting into Fearfest for free, but on the other hand, they'd probably have more cash to do more with Fearfest, and wouldn't have to make it so family friendly and could bring back things like the celebrity execution show that they had at the Timberwolf. Your thoughts?

A lot of CF parks have sperate gated admission for their waterparks. Just wondering how you guys would react if KI became that way.

I know that Maxx Passes purchased before the cutoff date at your home park are eligible for the gold benefits, but has anyone tried to use a Maxx Pass for it yet? I haven't had any trouble parking or anything like that, but overheard an employee telling a guest that the "red passes don't get the benefits, only gold ones do." So my question is if anyone here has successfully used their KI Maxx pass and gotten the benefits of Walk on Weekends and so on?

If you go on SOB's section of PKI.com it automatically kicks you into the stats page but has a small window showing a POV video. Oddly enough, it just kind of fades through where the loop should be. No other attraction has a video on that site at the time of this posting. Son of Beast on PKI.com

I was at KI today and noticed that the band organ is gone from the carousel. Someone told me that it was removed last year. Does anyone know why it was removed and if it's going to come back?

It's not on the web site and no one has mentioned it. Do you think CF will have a similar Star Spangled Celebration/Nights of Fire like Paramount did? Do the other parks do something like this?

When did you start going to KI and where did you hear about KIC? I've been going to KI since like 1990 when I was a little kid. I heard about KIC at Beastbuzz a long time ago but only read the forums for a while before I signed up.

I went to KI opening day and I noticed that Tomb Raider's music doesn't even play for most of the ride and that the on board audio on the Italian Job isn't even installed anymore. Is all this gone for good or are they going to fix it?

Since the gold pass deals have already been announced it just struck me that there has been no mention of bring a friend free days. Can anyone confirm or deny that they're done with?

I heard that too. I was waiting for them to drop the ropes on time and saw the people doing the walkback heading towards The Beast. A lot of people were mad about that and some even knew that it was a coaster group but still got mad because there's really no reason for them to have something like that every day since a lot of people get benefits and the park gets nothing out of it.

Last year was kind of crappy because there was only two shows and it seemed like PKI didn't have any budget for anything. Do you think that this year things will be better with Cedar Fair running the show or do you think we'll just see more budget cuts because of all their debt?

With all of this speculation on x Flight coming to PKI, nobody seemed to ask how you guys felt about the ride, or how you felt about getting a moved ride.

Since there's a lot of back and forth about what PKI has done right and wrong over the past decade, let me ask you: if you were in charge of Cedar Fair, what would you do to change the park? Now let's be realistic... they spent over a billion dollars purchasing the chains, so let's not kid ourselves and talk about large ride additions just yet. I'm talking more operational. Personally, I would begin by lowering drink prices. At Geauga Lake, they're about $1 cheaper than PKI, which was still expensive but just slightly out of the realm of what's reasonable. Food prices should be lowered as well. Give it up for $.25 cotton candy! I would add more live shows and entertainment. I think the feeling of at home Americana would be much better with the traditional bandstand style entertainment, in addition to major shows in the Paramount Theatre and International Showplace. I would do a hard evaluation of maintanance at the park. I would give them the budget to do what needs to get done, and if things like unusually rough rides and degraded themeing continued, I would replace those who should be in charge of it with someone who can get it done. I would make a strong, strong effort to keep the park as clean as possible. I would set up guidelines as to how often areas should be sweapt or trash changed out and hold people accountable for it. If there's one good thing about Geauga it's that the midways are so clean that you could eat off of them. Let's hope that PKI can do the same. Your thoughts would be appreciated!

Someone said that the screens in the Festhaus weren't come back next year. Do you think that there will be a live show in there? If not, what are some other rumors?

Let's clear things up: Black Sunday: Two people died in the pond in Oktoberfest. It was a freak accident involving a short in a water recirculator. A man's hat blew off, he went in to retrieve it, and was shocked, his friend and a security guard both went in after him and were shocked as well. Ironically, the man who initially entered the pond survived, but his friend and the security guard died. Not long after that, an intoxicated laty fell from the Flight Commander, an Intamin flat ride that was located where Eurobungee is now. Lion Safari: Happened in the late 70s (1977, I think) a worker was mauled by a lion. That's about all of the information that I've heard about that. Tower Johnny: Feel down the elevator shaft after entering a restricted area. It did, in fact, cover the vaders in blood, but as opposed to what was stated above, they were not replaced until the 2004 season.

Since Nick Central is becoming Nick Universe, it looks like The Beastie will be rethemed. I'm not really a big fan of this. I love everything else, but The Beastie really completes the PKI tradition. What do you guys think?
