  1. That's a tough question: In coasters, all of these are tied: -Raven- Holiday World -Dominator and X-Flight-Geagua Lake -Raptor, Millenium, and Gemini- Cedar Point -Phantom's Revenge- Kennywood -Top Gun and Fof- PKI In thrill rides: -Delirium(as I remember it), Tomb Raider, Slingshot, and Skyflyer- PKI -Skycoaster and Aero 360-Kennywood -Breakdance and Enterprise- SFKK -Revolution and Halloswings- Holiday World -Texas Twister and Time Warp-Geagua Lake
  2. I saw the pictures- that looks cool! Is it me, or is one of those ride spaces, "Amazon Falls"?
  3. "You've just found yourself in the middle of an amusement park soap opera. Go back two spaces and try to save your sanity and your ego." "Congratulations! You've just convinced your pki-newb friend that Son of Beast is the best ride in the park. The bad news is, they haven't ridden it yet and you just bet them 10 dollars that they'll like it. Roll a die. If it lands on an odd number, pay the person with the least amount of property ten dollars for your loss. If it lands on an even number, they pay you ten dollars for your ORP." "A ride operator catches you smoking in their line. Go back to start, do not collect 200 dollars." "Your PKI season's pass just got upgraded to gold! Move ahead one space, and take advantage of that free Fearfest admission!" "You ask an employee walking by when the dolphin show starts. Move back a space." "A ride operator catches you trying to buckle in your enormously huge stuffed animal into the seat next to you. Lose a turn."
  4. "After much fighting, your friends finally force you to ride Drop Zone. To make things worse, you have a panic attack on the ride, and curl up into a fetal position next to a wall after getting off. Lose a turn." "You skip school to go to pki and end up getting arrested for truancy. Go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars."
  5. Woah now- that was my first time bar-checking with people in the gondola since post-season. There's a reason why that happened... *note: I didn't try to up the number by picking up shifts on rides that I'm not trained at. I got sent to all of those rides while I was supposed to be working on my own rides. Unlike some people... "Got caught for creating two screennames on the same pki fansite. Lose a turn and contact the administrator to get your first one back." "You try to convince a Tomb Raider employee that checking bars in a circle is easier and more convenient. Go directly to Delirium to prove your point."
  6. "You and your friends decide to take a ride on X-Treme Skyflyer, but then you chicken out on pulling the ripcord. Switch spots with the smallest person playing, and pay 30 dollars to the bank for three people to ride."
  7. I got the game wholesale price via the distributors in Cincy. Since I'm not home, I haven't seen the game yet. I'll let you know when I do.
  8. That would be courtesy of Mike's roommate.
  9. I second that. A bunch of good people are leaving the park, it's a shame to see them all go. But I wish everyone the best of luck in the future.
  10. Don't take this the wrong way, but I personally don't think that Christmas is culturally universal. Therefore, I have to agree with Gabe. (and to be a little off-topic: I'm back in Cincy!!!)
  11. Yeah, that would be Don Quixote and Sancho Panza
  12. I saw it in 2003. To tell the truth, it really wasn't that good. It was just a bunch of stunts and pyrotechnics, with no plot. I mean, if you like that sort of thing- that's up to you. I just thought it was boring and poorly written.
  13. My vote goes to the forgotten ones who have slaved outside in the boiling heat and sunlight, just to give the guests the time of their lives on some amazing thrill rides! Gotta love the AZ ride ops!
  14. Here's an idea for you: Next time you go to PKI, wear a kryptonite cross. That way you can keep both Dracula and Superman away. Oh, so that's what I've been doing wrong!... I never knew!
  15. The pics from the trip are up! You can find them (as well as other pictures) here. BTW- this is the pic of Mike, Mr. Dick Kinsel, and myself.
  16. I agree. The admins here have done a wonderful job maintaining peace on the boards, and deleting those that need to be deleted. And a special thanx goes to Ryan and Dane for physically picking me up and attempting to walk away with me at the beginning of the season! (then getting on the pagecom and calling me hot!) and just a little off-topic: I kept my promise to be with you guys in spirit- I was talking to my dad via cellphone in The Beast's station during the last few rides of the night!
  17. A note to those who were fighting over "the best and second best rides in the park", I think we've been through this already. Every ride has their strong points, therefore, there is no best ride in the park. There- you guys are done. In reguards to the meeting today, ~I'll be with you guys in spirit~
  18. Yeah, it's not removed yet, but everything was turned off. CP turned the ride into a haunted attraction.
  19. Note: I wrote only half of the trip report this time, Mike wrote the other half.
  20. Yesterday was my bf's birthday, so we celebrated it at his favorite place- Cedar Point. It was me, him, his roommate, and three of his closest friends. We woke up at 6:45 (in the dark because our dorm had a "planned power outage"), I grabbed my IJST hoodie (gotta represent!),and left the dorm at around 7:30. We had a quick bite to eat, and crammed all six of us into his roommate's Buick Park Avenue. Not a good idea- it made for a very uncomfortable hour-and-a-half-long ride. We finally arrived at the park at 9:45, where Mike (my bf) bought his season pass (and got a free poster), and his roommate Josh and I bought our discounted tickets. We immediately headed into the park and hit the first ride we saw- Demon Drop. Demon Drop, as usual, was quite a thrill. Sad to say, it might be the last time we would be able to ride this ride in Cedar Point, so we had to pay our last respects. Right after Demon Drop, Josh did the carousel while the rest of us did Disaster Transport. This ride was different than the last time I rode it. All of the lights were out except for the lift lights. It was cool riding this ride in complete darkness. We met back up with Josh, and since he can't ride much because of his size and weight (need I say more?), we rode the big ferris wheel. We could definitely get a great view of the park and the beach from there. Leaving the Josh again, Mike and I hit Wicked Twister- in the very back seat. That is one heck of a thrill when it goes backwards and spins. We walked around the water arena that I guess they use for a water sports show, the wonderful people at Cedar Point put skeletons dressed as clowns underwater and in the windows. (So that's what they do with line jumpers?) Then it was time for Josh's favorite ride, Ocean Motion. A Classic HUSS pirate ship. Just before the ride was about to begin, Mike pointed out the HUSS sticker. HA! I've found another one! (picture will be added to the gallery) (More HUSS stickers can be found in my album) While the rest of the group did another few rounds of Ocean Motion, Mike and I split off from the group and rode one of my fave steels, Raptor. The wait was about a half hour, and we got the very last seat on the train. That was well worth the wait! The unexpected inversions, the smooth ride, the G's pulled, that bright green B&M track.... ah, it was amazing!!!(I also met up with my MaXair counterpart, Shawn over there) The group had already done Cedar Downs Racing Derby while we were on Raptor, but they did it again, because Mike had never ridden it before. It's a fun ride, and it definitely stands out from most of the other carousels I've ridden. No calliope music here, it was replaced with racing announcements. The horses actually felt like they were gaining and losing speed throughout the ride- compared to the other horses beside us. (Mike typing) Next up was the coasterbuzz podcast with Richard Kinzel! For those of you who don't know Mr. Kinzel, he's the CEO, President, and Head Honcho of Cedar Fair L.P. Basically, the King of Cedar Point. The interview lasted for about 40 minutes, and very informing. We learned that Mr. Kinzel has been with Cedar Point for 34 years, and started out as a food-service employee! Wow, the ladder he has climbed to get where he is. For a 9 year span, he was GM of Valleyfair. In 1986, (around that time) he was promoted to CEO of Cedar Fair. He has also received EVERY first ride of every coaster Cedar Point has built since the Corkscrew! And that was in 1976! After the interview, Ariel, and myself had the honor TO SHAKE HIS HAND, AND HAVE OUR PICTURE TAKEN WITH HIM, COURTESY OF MY GOOD FRIEND JOSH!!! We're hoping the picture with him came out well, since the Red Garter Saloon is a pretty dim. Hopefully, Ariel will add it to her gallery. The podcast will be on coasterbuzz Nov 2nd. After the podcast, we grabbed a quick lunch. We tailgated from Josh's car since we had great weather for an October day. Josh, and my 3 closest friends decided to take a nap after lunch, and Ariel and myself decided we needed to grab a ride on Millennium Force! We waited an hour for Millennium with a 10 minute down time for maintenance. Well worth it, because we got the last car, 2nd row!!! It was a great ride, and well worth the hour we waited. I also bought the picture, and I litereally look possessed in it! We met up with the rest of our group at Blue Streak, and I was talked into doing a palm reading session with a psychic. Ariel went to ride Blue Streak while I was convinced to do the psychic. I believe we went for a Magnum circuit after the psychic reading while Josh went to try for a haunted house. Ariel and I got a great ride on Magnum in the last car of the train front row. It was down to 2 trains when we went to ride. We were told the 2nd train went crazy, and was taken off the track and put on the transfer track. That was a great ride. If you go to Cedar Point, it's a must you get on Gemini, and that's where we went next! Gemini is always a fun ride, and it never ceases to thrill!! We found out today it will receive some minor wood replacing this off season. Unfortunately, Gemini turned out to be our last ride of 2005 because a friend of mine started having serious pains in her heart. They were so bad, one of them brought her into tears, and on her knees. Ariel took her to first aid; thankfully, they just had to go around the corner for the closest kiosk! That was a blessing in itself! I am happy to report that she is doing good today!! Since my friend started having her pains, we called it quits, and started out of the park. Ariel and I hit a couple gift shops, and made a special shop at the Pagoda Gift Shop. We saw a sign outside that shop that was advertising $5.95 t-shirts, and 3 for $15.00 US. Those shirts were junk! Friends, you didn't miss a thing! We did make a stop at the Park Plaza gift shop, where we decided to get matching Cedar Point hoodies!! $30 US each too! A good price for Cedar Point hoodie! We then grabbed one last picture of Demon Drop, which as we all know might not see 2006 @ Cedar Point. Then, we bid farewell to Cedar Point for the season, and vowed to return opening day, which is May 6, 2006 @ 10am sharp!! (Note from Ariel- Turns out the IJST hoodie came back to haunt me, sitting in a room full of ACE'ers and people wearing CP shirts, I kinda got scowls for wearing a shirt to a rival park. Hey, I gotta represent!!)

My comments on this: 1. Ronny's got a problem with split-personality disorder. 2. Whoever's been to the park even once this year knows that the flying eagles are gone. 3. Yes, on my last day in the park, I spent a while just gazing at the fountain, feeling the warm summer breeze, and remembering all of the memories this season has left me.
  22. Was that the "F5ROLLERCOASTER!" thing with a few other members of pkicentral that happened in June?
  23. Sorry, I wish I could be there, but I'm stuck car-less in Akron. Have fun and say hi to all of my friends!
  24. Flume rox, I love flume! I can't particularly say what ride is good or bad to work, because they all have their strong points, and they all appeal to different kinds of people.
  25. MF, Dragster, Raven, and Phantom's Revenge- that ride has airtime!!
