Post what you write about, it'll be interesting! Good luck!
  2. Actually, if you look closely, the stage is still there in the Festhaus. It's just covered up.

This is wrong. The magnet on the SROS coasters are permanent. Just like those on DZ. The thing about DZ's brakes is, they're static. they don't move at all. The brakes on the SROS coasters move out of the way to allow the train to be moved into the station. What happened with that incident was that an air line failed and left the brakes open. It could never happen on Drop Zone. So long as the magnetic polarity of Earth remains the same, it will not fail. Has the magnetic polarity of Earth changed since the formation of the planet? Yes. Will the magnetic polarity change instantaniously once you're towed to the top of the tower? That's for you to ponder while you're sitting up there.
  4. As a park enthusiast, I take my pseudo-relationship with the park seriously. At that, if you honestly think that the park is really messy, perhaps you could organize a bunch of people who feel the same way to write to the park and see if you get a response. It's much better than talking about it on here. We all hear you, some agree, some disagree, but you won't go far beyond that without contacting the park. I'm sure any suggestions the park gets are welcomed. Thanks, Ryan
  5. Have you ever gotten back to the station from a run and went to take off your helmet only to have your glove completely stuck to it? Happened to me.
  6. We are currently working on the accuracy of that part of the web page. I'm not sure how accurate the $15 million is, I've heard $25 myself.
  7. The ice show was moved from the Festhaus to the Paramount Theatre after the Paramount takeover.
  8. PKI invested $25 million on SoB, and it still has major problems. Can't help but agree with you there. I'm not the biggest SOB fan, but I wouldn't go as far as saying that it was a waste of money.
  9. I agree -- I love Face/Off, but am still unwilling to wait for an hour for it even on days that the park is dead. If they added a 2nd train, it would more than double the capacity. The only problem is that a device like that would include a lot of moving parts, which could break down, and adding something like that would be unbelieveably expensive. They'd have to build both the switch track, and probably reconstruct the station.
  10. True, in fact, there's a LIM that uses the same idea. I don't think Face/Off has a transfer track, though.
  11. Charles, we SO have to hit the bottle at the Aussie Bar and then ride the Tazmania Typhoon. Imagine that while you're drunk! Are you in?

Congrats Rickster! Where's the gift certificate to? Paramount Parks?
  13. I agree, The Beast really has been the cornerstone of the park for the past 24 years. Well, here is my short list of the best moves: 1. Moving from the riverfront to Mason to become Kings Island. Smart decision -- more land, no more floods! 2. Waterworks. This put the park in direct competition with the Beach. 3. Adding new attractions every year. According to Jeff Seibert, PKI is one of a small handful of parks that can say that they've added attractions every year that they've been in existance. 4. Debuting the park with a wooden by John Allen. 5. NOT investing $25 million in a ride like TTD.
  14. Testify!! If they removed The Vortex, it would be a terrable blow to the park in my opinion. I mean, they could add a B&M or an Intamin or whatever, but that just wouldn't be the same as an Arrow looper!!
  15. Holy geeze, why don't you have him equate it to the position of the planets while he's at it.
  16. Good idea! Usually PKI.com has that, but I guess they start it in like Feb or so.
  17. You get KILLER air time anywhere you sit in the front, so I chose the frontwards Racer. Although one of my favorite seats in the whole park is the back seat of the backwards racer (where you are the end of the train--you aren't facing anyone.) The air time is flawless on that one.
  18. You guys are talking about the ventors like they're not employees. Are they some kind of 3rd party company, or is there just a beef between them and the rest of the associates?
  19. If anyone lives in the area and has a digital camera, the pics would be great.
  20. Does having four accross affect your ride experience a lot?
  21. No, what he is doing is very legal and a good idea. Keep up the good work, Aaron.
  22. That's not selfish. We wish you the best! If you do decide to make Gudebook v. 2, I'd recommend asking people on here what they want to see in it because, hey... we're your best audience.
  23. They are retro and nostalgic. If you know anything about history, you would know that gaslights were used for everything from 1865 to 1875 during the gaslight era, where lamplighters walked the town streets at night, making sure all gaslights were lit and functional. Gaslights for a period were all the rage, and a period of unhurried gracious living. Want to know more about this era, visit http://www.gaslite.com/history.html lol.. you have WAY too much time on your hands
  24. Sorry, but I can't help but agree with him. From a regular park-goers point of view, the helicopter was really cool at first, but having it fly overhead and make all that noise just got really old as soon as the novelty wore off.
  25. I don't know, Chef. Delirium is an excellent ride, but who knows that they could do with TR: TR... I mean, it could have an AWSOME program with all new themeing for all we know. I think most people just have a bias against it because it's so short. I think we can all agree that the few minutes we have on it really is a lot of fun.
