  1. Think it will be crowded this evening? Has anyone gone either of the past two nights? (mon/tues). Thinking about heading down there, but don't want to make the trip just to ride The Beast 2-3 times tops....I want a marathon run!!
  2. Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere - what will the charge for parking be for the remaining three days of the season? surely not the full $10 ?!
  3. I would agree with that suggestion. That is exactly what I do too.

Front Seat/Blue train - ONLY one on the train! Crowds on Wednesday were extremely low. Rode SOB 8 times and The Beast 12 times.
  5. Not sure - I visited the park on 7/11 and 7/23 - and both trains were running on those days.
  6. For me - I think the very front seat. Actually had my best ride around 8:30 last night, front seat of blue train. Totally incredible...and the 'rosebowl' didn't even beat me up either! However - while in line for The Beast I was talking with someone who said, in their opinion, the very back seat of the SOB was smoother than the front of the train! Any other perspectives on this? True - I could have rode the very back seat to see for myself...but just didn't want to chance it. I'm 38 and my back probably wouldn't have appreciated the abuse if in fact it wasn't true.
  7. I was there on Wednesday the 11th, rode it 5 times between 4:30pm-8:30pm. Can't believe that it was closed the very next day. I will definitely make a phone call to them before I head down there next time to make sure it is open!
  8. I can remember back in the early 90's....didn't really matter what day of the week it was. As long as you went during the summer season...you waited in lines....just a fact of life. It was even worse on weekends. I went down there this past Wednesday for 4 hours total and got to ride SOB 5 times and The Beast 4 times.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I got in line the first time around 1:15 - and would have been on it by 2:15-2:30ish....but like I mentioned, there was almost a 30 minute delay due to the blue train being stuck, so I actually didn't get the first ride until almost 3:00. I waited in line about an hour the second time I rode it.

I was on the way to a Reds game on Saturday afternoon and at the last minute decided to stop by KI first for a ride on SOB. (I have a season pass). Due to being Saturday the line was approximately 1 hour. Actually, the first ride was a longer wait because the blue train stopped on the first hill and they didn't get it going for almost 30 minutes! I was thinking, well, here we go again. But they finally got the train going and I got my first ride! My verdict goes with alot of the responses, much improved with still some roughness in the rosebowl. All in all, I am very pleased!
  11. I have a gold pass - but did not purchase a parking pass. Question - if you wait late enough into the day (like around 4-5pm) do they stop charging for parking? I thought I remembered a time a few years ago when I arrived later in the day and there was noone sitting at the parking booths.
  12. Just wondering. I'm going to be at the park on 6/21. Has anyone noticed if there have been any trains running on it during the day?
