  1. Sorry I know people were upset when it was being noted that something was testing. However, at the same time it was questioned about whether or not The Bat would make opening day. I don't know the answer to that, however I can say I haven't seen it test much when watching the webcams. Long story short... It's testing today! ** I wasn't quick enough to capture the image though!
  2. If Banshee is anything like Montu we are in for a treat!
  3. Gatekeeper is my favorite ride at Cedar Point. I enjoy everything about it! Front right is where it's at! I guess back left too lol!
  4. I used the trail for a quiet and peaceful walk through nature a few times. As someone else previously mentioned, it's a good way to let food settle.
  5. I would think if they were going to do the tees they would do it opening day. That's what they did with Firehawk and DB.
  6. Wow! Love the sound already! I imagine it'll probably get louder too as they change out the wheels that will actually be used during the season. At least I think this will be the case. I know previously that it has been said they start testing B&M coasters with a softer wheel (or is it a harder?) Anyways regardless most likely it isn't running at normal speed during these test runs.
  7. I always make sure to check out the shows with the family. It isn't necessarily my thing, but I enjoy spending the time with them at the park. I actually enjoyed The Psycho Circus and think the same will be said for the new show. However, I'm more excited for the Banshee Twist flavored soft serve. I get a cone every time I'm at the park!
  8. That really makes sense I could imagine the ride being different each time. Really wish I had been alive at the time to ride!
  9. The only person in my family that took a ride on it is my uncle. We talk about it almost every time we have a family function. He knows I'm an enthusiast and loves to talk about how crazy the ride was. He said that the main reason it scared him so much was the fact that it was so different from everything else. So, I wonder if it hadn't been the first if it would have been considered by many to be a fun ride?
  10. I've been watching now and it looked like there was someone in yellow standing at the edge of the station. The train looked to be off the transfer too. I love to see life and movement reappear at the park!
  11. Looks like Banshee isn't the only think that might wake up today. As someone said earlier Drop Tower is moving up and down. Also, I've spotted a train on the brake run of AE. Though, l don't know if it has been there the entire time. **Actually it looks like it might be sitting on the transfer track I guess. Now I can't make it out at all.
  12. I just hope I get to return to another great season of Halloween Haunt. I've had so much fun over the last five seasons that I look forward to October with much anticipation. I agree wholeheartedly with the comments about Urgent Scare. With the top notch stuff added in recent years, a sprucing up would do wonders. It really needs a facelift. I agree about the gas powered chainsaws too. There need to be a few. Don't go crazy with them, but a few would be nice. I know a particular roamer that would enjoy one
  13. I have taken a ride on Congo Falls almost every time I've went on a summer day for the past few seasons. I've taken upwards of thirty rides on it, without never once getting wet enough to were water soaks through my shoes and gets my socks wet. I always suggest it to people as a means to cool off without getting drenched. Although, I imagine if the geysers at the end were timed appropriately it would be a different story. It is still easy to put your feet under the seat in front of you.
  14. The most sentimental moment I have had at the Island occurred for me on Memorial Day weekend of 2010. My then girlfriend at the time (who was not a park enthusiast) was convinced to come to the park with my sister and my dad. Little did she know of my intentions once we arrived. I had to work hard to finally convince her that we would spend the entire day at Boomerang Bay. Although at the time, I didn't think that about the fact that my entire plan involved going to the top of The Eiffel Tower. Well, to keep it short all of us convinced her to go up to see how crowded the water park was. We came to the front of the tower overlooking International Street and I proposed. I told her,"This place is one of my favorite places and it is very special to me! I want it to be special for you too!" I can't wait till opening day to take a ride on one of our favorite rides at the park, The Bat!
  15. I guess I'm part of the minority when it comes to the drawstring bag debate. I always carry a bag in the park. Keys and glasses (in case my contacts come out) go in it. Also, I always have a souvenir cup which goes in the bag while I'm on a ride. Having said that though, I realize the park isn't responsible for keeping my items. Also, I respect the policy about loose articles in the Banshee station. I have no issues with purchasing a locker.
  16. I just renewed my Coasterbuzz membership and I'm going to do the CC membership a little later today. Never hurts to have options and they are both good deals with great communities.
  17. Don't know if anyone would be able to answer this, but I RSVP'd under the Coasterbuzz club. I just realized my card is expired and was going to renew before media day. However, with this opportunity I want to join CC. Can I just join CC and use that for what I already registered for? Or should I re-RSVP and select CC?
  18. I will say that when I went to BGW that I was most hyped about Alpengeist. However, after riding it I was slightly let down. It wasn't that I didn't enjoy it, because I really did, it just didn't blow me away. However, Apollo's Chariot... That's a different story!! Whew!! Somebody call my mama!!
  19. I imagine it will mimic the loose articles policy of Gatekeeper. If that's the case, then no souvenir bottles. I understand the policy from an operations standpoint, but can't say I wasn't upset to pay to store one cup.
  20. Sorry to go back to the scaractor stuff from a few posts above. however, Funny thing about that is the scaractor Kat mentioned happened to be me lol. I was a Rivertown roamer and by the grille quite a bit. I usually use tactics like that to get kids to leave me alone. I hate having conversations as it distracts me from my goal. So I just ignore and don't fulfill their requests. If it continues I get an officer. Also, I scared/startles many males taller than myself. I stand at 5' 11". You just have to be sneaky about and the guys have to be good sports about it.
  21. Yeah the lay to fly elements are tricky! It's like every two counts as an inversion. The second one being the conclusion of an inversion.
  22. I got 28 also 6-Invertigo 6-Vortex 4-FoF 5-Firehawk 7-Banshee For a total of 28 (looks like I got beat to the punch lol)
  23. I hope they paint it ,and at least return the logos on the gondola. IMO I've thought it has looked bad for several seasons. I remember how bright and colorful it used to be. Now it has a dull matte like finish from fading. I just hope they don't do like CP and just paint the bottom of the supports like with Maxair!
  24. I concluded my season with a ride on Flight Deck, Ed Alonzo, and a Banshee twist cone.
  25. Not that I'd ride it, but I'd like to see a Zipper in Coney Mall. Also a Tilt a Whirl and a Musik Express would be nice there too.
