The only thing he did to get banned was bet on baseball. But other players in MLB were shooting up with steroids and other performance enhancement drugs and still allowed to play.

Hey, guys, just want to say thanks for the replies. It looks as if Cedar Point might be the park we're going to go to. The only drawback is that we would have to go during the week in July or August because my paid vacation starts at the end of June. Now I could go to Six Flags Great America by myself in May on a weekend after I get off work. Hmmm...

We usually go during the week. Last time we went, it was on a Wednesday (in August I think) and the park was very packed. Only got to ride Maverick, Raptor, and Magnum once that whole day. Would the beginning of the week be better, like Sunday- Tuesday?

My cousin and I are planning our annual roller coaster trip this year. We are deciding which park to go to, Cedar Point or Six Flags Great America. We have never gone to Six Flags Great America, but we also want to check out Gatekeeper as well (we have been to Cedar Point before). We can only do one park this year. So I have 2 questions: 1. Which park would be good to go to? 2. What would be the best day(s) to go to one of these parks? Thanks!

Here we go with the "Let's blame Cedar Fair for closing Geauga Lake" comments again. I'm getting pretty annoyed reading that every time the media interviews Mr. Ouimet. He had nothing to do with the park's closure, that was under Kinzel's watch to begin with.

Read this on the park's Twitter page back on Jan. 21st. and is surprised it wasn't mentioned on here: "Just got back from the plant in Batavia, OH where the track for Cedar Point's new Gatekeeper roller coaster is being made." Now why would the park say this online? Inquiring minds want to know. Hmmm...

As a freshman in high school in 1990, we did that at Epcot Center in Walt Disney World. The event was called Disney's Band Days. Was a lot of fun, we had free passes to both Epcot, MGM, and Wet 'n' Wild waterpark.

Don Helbig, the park's PR, just said on this thread that Flight Deck is not being removed.

Maybe the park just got tired of answering the same questions over and over again.

My guess is so that the ticket window workers can communicate to park guests without a roller coaster roaring over them.

I think they're referring to it's original name "Banshee" being dead before they named it Mantis.

Here's one from the park's "Son of Beast being removed" Facebook page: "The first rollercoaster I ever rode (when it was Scooby) don't even wanna admit how long ago that was....."

I never considered SoB a flagship coaster at the park. To me it'd be Diamondback and The Beast.
