^^Each row has it's own queue...it won't be a prob! And many feel the 2nd row will be just as good as the first, with a fraction of the wait!!

^^Agreed..that will be weird...I almost kind of need to see this first!! Not to worry...D-back will be bad capacity proof!!

Yeah, Fahrenheit is neither thrilling nor fun either despite being 97 degrees!! The speed on Maverick is the difference maker.

Yeah, I'm sure that they will assign seats. =[ Heck, BLSC still does. But it'll only be like that for DB for the first year. Well, it was my understanding that CW was assigning seats in the beginning of the season due to crowd control reasons, but after the beginning of June they stopped, and in all of my 3 visits this year (the first being in mid-ish June) I never saw seating assigning. I mean, Ohio has a very sophisticated coaster riding audience/population, so I feel confident if indeed seat assigning is crowd control related, that KI won't need seat assigning given their coaster riding and etiquette experience! Time will tell...

^^The back, no question!! I just hope they don't start out by assigning seats!!!

^^So the queue is opposite from where you enter the station?? Good thing D-back will have the same trains!!

Who works where?
^^Here's the difference...the schemester's in Central Park immediately leave you alone as soon as you decline their watch sales offer. BUT other bums in other cities like Nashville, Memphis, Seattle, Portland, San Fran, Flagstaff, etc., will follow you around even after saying no to giving them money. Some keyhole photog's immediately leave you alone, but others are more persisent/agressive, and those I do despise!

^^I think that the reason KC was removed was because TOGO went out of business. And not to mention I found SkyRider at CW's my 2nd favorite coaster there!! Smooth, mostly comfy, a couple surprising 'drops of the stomach' moments, no lines, and a lot fun!! All this from an "old" TOGO!!

Who works where?
^^Six Flags used to also do that where you had your picture card scanned by the Kodak people, and then you went home and downloaded your on ride pics for a fee...of course, programs started floating around to get your pics without paying and SF discontinued doing that!!

^^No, I agree, that actually looks like 74 degrees to me!!....Yay!!!!! The thing is, haven't the blue prints proven that it will be, indeed, a somewhat themed station a la Silver Bullet?!?

Geauga Lake Eyed For Big Box Sprawl
Wow, CoastersRZ, that was impressive!! How could anyone NOT hire you?! Thanks again for the knowledge!! So sort of along those same lines, my dad has done some home building/designing as a hobby (and did a lot of work in the Indianapolis area in the housing boom circa 2002-2005), but one of the things he always claimed was this: If you constructed roads that were 6 feet deep into the ground they would last a lot longer, have less pot holes, and be way more durable since shorter depth roads are very sensitive to temperature and climate changes. Since 6 feet deep the temperature is always the same (i.e. burying someone "6 feet under"), the road would then be significantly less suspectible to temperature and climate changes and conditions. However, because the transportation department is a huge employment provider, he theorizes that roads are not built 6 feet deep since longer lasting roads prevents more jobs. But my question is, is there any validity in what my dad says or not?? Thanks again for the knowledge!! (if anything, you should at least get a job teaching this stuff!)

^^So since you're technologically knowledgeable...can you explain the purpose behind retention ponds?? I just need to some knowledge dropped on me!!

Playland Park to Start Charging Admission...
^Ahhhhhhh......ok!

At least it's not $4 a gallon ... yet :)
Spring of '98 as a fresh, pimpled-face (not really!) 16 year-old new driver (really!), I paid the lowest I ever paid....$0.69 per gallon for regular at the Shell on E. Washington St. and 465 in Indy! (this gas station doesn't exist anymore). I later heard from someone during this time Russia was liquidating their crude supplies, and I still have this receipt today, although a few years ago I filed it away with some of my other current credit card receipts (I never throw mine away!!) back when I never dreamed of gas going to even $2 a gallon!! I need to dig through the Banker Boxes and find it!!

Who works where?
^^Or are you part of the actual sales booth itself?? And FWIW, in middle school on KI trips, all the girls would buy those things, and growing up I've been very surprised by the amount of KI photo key chains I've seen!! Plus, I think in middle school my family bought one too...so I mean, people buy 'em, and if they didn't, I presume they wouldn't sell them...but seriously, when I go to KI with a guy friend, PLEASE don't ask two dudes if they wanna pic together!! If two guys did, I presume they would seek a photog out!

So looking at the station, since it now has a partial floor, you board from the right, exit to the left and back, go under the track turn into the station from the brake run, and wrap around the station, going under the stairs leading to the station, and into the gift shop/on-ride photo booth?? Actually, makes sense to me!

Who works where?
^^Hey, btw, though I didn't ride it a ton, a major thanks to the Avatar crew this season for always being cool about letting me "wait for" the "prime" seat(s) on Avatar!! I mean, the queue isn't really designed for people to wait when it's supposed to be their turn to go into one of those holding bays, so I greatly do appreciate it!! (unlike those Fahrenheit jerks at Hershey!! You would have thought it was 1940's Germany!! Though I did eventually ride in every seat)
-
Just wondering
^^Well, no offense to Behemoth, but frankly, *I* could construct it's queue!! Concrete, railings, awning, period. The Behemoth entrance sign looks cool, but doesn't look expensive or anything (like Goliath at SFMM). Also, was it ever determined if gas and transportation costs were a factor as D-back from Batavia is a smaller distance compared to what Behemoth might have been?? Having said that, my foreign finance class at IU was a while ago, but I think you can hedge currency conversion costs if you're a bigger company. Plus, in addition to building partially in the lake, CW's Action Zone got a lot of remodeling, maybe even more so than Rivertown?? But I think at the end of the day, building Behemoth at KI (sans splashdown) would come very close to D-back's $22 mil.

Glad to know I'm a reliable source!! Tehe!! (jussst kidding, btw, Terpy) But in all seriousness, touche on those comments, although I do believe the 5th hill trim will be a staple on D-back, but until the testing, who knows, and until first ride reviews, who knows the affect?? Tiggy, NOT being a grump or cynic! Honest.

SIX Q3 Conference Call Nov 10 9am
"Longer season, longer hours"??? Huh...considering GAdv's 08 season and hours were cut from 07!? I wonder if that means they'll go back to 07 next year?? Also interesting they praised CF on one hand, but also dissed them claiming $20 million coasters are a waste and having their HQ in Sandusky saves them mad jack.

Disney to CA Gov: We Don't Like Your Stinkin' Tax!
^^Back when I was in high school (in Indiana) someone who moved from Ohio was telling me in Ohio road construction is all one big scam in the sense the roads are never built to last in order to continually provide future improvement jobs!...and living in Ohio for 2 years, I firmly believe it!! Thankfully Indiana doesn't mess around with such garbage and games. I suffered while the East/NE side of 465 got re-done while in college, and as a former INDOT employee, I can tell you that part of 465 won't touched for a long while again!! There's too much serious road work in Indiana to be done to not do it right the first time!!
