Well I must say yes they will go in a new direction but I do hope they are smart enough to leave some history in the park !!!!
  3. You know all involved parties need to be punished however the charges brought against the driver were a little harsh. These days rasing a child is so much different then when I was a kid... I say take those kids, bend there azz'z over the dads knee and welt their behinds till they cant walk... Sure did me some good when I got it like that. Some times old fashion justice is just the ticket.....

  5. I know this has been talked about in other threads in the past. I would rather have several smaller rides than another coaster at this time. something along a family thingy, maybe like the old canoe rides back in the day or another gentle ride like the antique cars....
  6. They will be crowded....lol .. I know when they are crowded people dont like to go. There is more to do than just rides... its the whole atmosphere thing!
  7. I will be there on the 3rd and 4th
  8. My son is going to church camp that week but I will be there for sure on the 4th. I myself am going to camp this same time. Lt. Dan's Backporch beer camp. I will be in the 4th tent to the right, I mean under the fourth table on the right!

  10. Getting ready to post some of my stuff I saved from 1979-1999 employment at Ki, 70's and 80's in rides and 90's in entertainement, I think I have enough to start a museum...lol 3 boxes worth of stuff including the costumes we wore in 1998's Nicktoon's Block Party. usually the costumes went back to the wharehouse in Charlotte however they could not use them ever again so we got to keep them......
  11. Instead of speculating on this for those who are interested just call the parks in questions, saves alot of arguments and know it alls to be honest...
  12. I see dead people.
  13. The company which owns Kings Island Amusement Park in Mason is closing down the Drop Zone Ride, after a gruesome accident on a similar ride at Kentucky Six Flags. A 13-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital after her feet were cut off. According to witnesses, a cable broke loose on the Superman Tower of Power at Six Flags Kingdom in Louisville. The ride takes passengers straight up 177 feet... then free fall for about 154 feet -- reaching up to 54 miles per hour. The ride is shut down at Six Flags is shut down indefinitely. Kraig Ross, a spokesperson for Cedar Fair, which owns Kings Island, says they received notification of the accident from the ride's manufacturer last night. Cedar Fair has 5 rides made by this same manufacturer... Intamin AG. All will be closed until they can be inspected thoroughly. Drop Zone is similar to the Superman Tower of Power, in that rides are taken up 264 feet and dropped at a speed of 67 miles an hour. The ride opened in 1999. Ross says Cedar Fair has a "strong commitment to safety" and inspects each ride at all of it's parks daily. There is no word on when Drop Zone may reopen.
  14. Well the first thing is money, which i doubt if all of us together could not afford...lmao
  15. Yes, however several times the girls working the booths dont even give one look at the driver and scans the card and hands it back without even a glance....
  16. The lottery has been there all year, well the instant lottery anyhow.
  17. The huge room and crawl spaces under the stage, the entrance is in the green room.
  18. Yes this is true, I worked in the entertainment dept for a few years and a couple of those were in the pt.
  19. Yes, everything is done on a catwalk, some might be on the right or left of the stage. On either side of the stage there are two dressing rooms where there is a dresser waiting for the prefomers to exit stage and help them dress into their next costume... Everything is snaps and velcro...lol....
  20. I miss them also, I was in a few of them......Was also a good outlet for the entertainment peeps among other things like mental health day.
  21. I was there today, the park was not crowded, well I guess it was ok for a tuesday. Boomerang Bay was sparse at best so I went and had a 2 hour nap on a cozy lawn chair...lol
  22. sorry boddha but they do, maybe not to the media but they do so how can you say they dont and end of story?
  23. I worked on that ride back in the early 80's, it was the best ride to work on for it being non-mechanical. So many stories and tales to tell about working on that ride. Also found some old video that I took but have to get it switched over to dvd
