Would You rather QUIZ
Being a journalist, I am very aware of new names and events. It's my job. So I'll go with the new names and honestly prefer them.

Your reaction to the Racer news
As I see it, KI is restoring The Racer to the way it originally was and was meant to be.

A (very) small update
I'm pleased that signs of Paramount are disappearing. It makes me feel like I'll be visiting a new park.

Coney Island 4/5/08
Today I went to Coney Island for the Flower Show's orientation. Not much worth reporting other than free breakfast, I found out where I'll be serving, I saw the new pirate ship, and I ran into Coasters RZ. The park is not open yet. Best regards, Italian Chef

Cincinnati Zoo, Something for the offseason.
We will have to visit the Cincinnati Zoo before our membershio expires in June. We won't renew it this year because I am a temp and uncertain when I'll be a permanent employee again. Besides, Little Chef way prefers Kings Island as do I. And with season passes to KI and the Musuem Center, do we really need a third membership?

'haunted' show at Paramount Theater
Graveyard Shift was not in the 90s. It was around 2002 or 2003 - and it the best doggone show I ever saw at Kings Island. I wish that I had it on DVD.

Sneak Peak! New Ride Signs and Logos
Great pictures!! I'm pleased that Paramount is no long part of the park. The new signs and themes give the park a fresh new look and feel.

Something Old Becomes New Again at Kings Island: Red Racer vs. Blue Racer, Season Pass Processing, 2008 Entertainment Lineup, Halloween Haunt & More
It was a wise move to mention that both coasters went forwards on THE BRADY BUNCH TV show. This brings a feeling of nostalgia and reminds park guests that the move is more a restoration than a radical change. Good Job KI! Italian Chef

Your reaction to the Racer news
It was just announced today on KICentral that the rumor is true, both coasters of The Racer will go forwards as they did back in 1972. How does this make you feel? I personally endorse the decision. I'm Italian Chef and I approve this message. * Paid for by Friends of Italian Chef.

the phantom theater
It would be really cool if SDATHC became a new, scarier PT with the old characters (newanimatronics) and new ones. Plus an independent film to help launch it. And the producers of this independent Phantom Theater film would be able to take it to the Independent Film Festival.

Something Old Becomes New Again at Kings Island: Red Racer vs. Blue Racer, Season Pass Processing, 2008 Entertainment Lineup, Halloween Haunt & More
If this is the saddest day of your life, you must live a very happy life. Far worse things have happened to most of us than an alteration at our favorite theme park.

the phantom theater
SDATHC is now part of International Street. So a NEW scarier Phantom Theater with more characters would nicely replace SDATHC.

When will Dora Go?
Who started the rumor that Dora and NU are leaving in the near future??? I can tell you what I don't know. I don't know of any plans to rid the park of Nickelodeon. Does anyone know whether or not Cedar Fair renewed the Nickelodeon license? It is set to expire in 2009 or 2010 I think. So as far as I know, CF has up to until 2009 or 2010 to decide whether or not to renew the license. Personally, I prefer Hanna-Barbera and my son watches Boomerang with me. But from a business perspective, returning Hanna-Barbera would not be logical. It makes more financial sense to renew Nickelodeon. We'll see. Best regards, Italian Chef

Coney to Add Three new Attractions in 2008
Will adults be able to ride the pirate ship or only kids? I hope both. I'd love to ride with my wife and son.
-
KI opening Day
I'll be there on opening day. Though I might be a little tired because I'm volunteering at Coney Island's Flower Show the day before. Are the KIC folks meeting anywhere? Can they arrange a place where we get discounted soda and snacks?
-
Disney World College Program Recruiting Interns
Good luck. I hope that you can study at Disney. They do things better than every amusement park in the Tri-State combined. Of course deep pockets don't hurt.

What are you looking forward to?
I am looking forward to riding FoF alone or with a friend and riding Fairly Odd Coaster and Little Bill with my son.

You might be a KI addict if you...
You might a KI Addict if you dream about living at and owning the park. I would build my house in back of The Racer.

KICentral Takes You Back To 1972
What a groovy picture! I was born in 1972 and miss the Hanna-Barbera characters at Kings Island. At least I can wathc them on Boomerang.

Both sides of Racer going forward
4/20 is not that far away. So I'll have to wait until then to see if both cars of The Racer are going forwards.

CONEY ISLAND: RELIVE THE MAGIC
How about www.amazon.com????
-
PT characters
I really do miss Phantom Theater and wish it would make a come-back. I'm thinking to write a fiction story based on it after life calms down. O'm only a temp and hoping to go full-time. Best regards, Italian Chef

Private Event
Better question. Who is the private party not for? It's not for us, so we can't go.

CoCo Key in Cincinnati Parent Magazine
This month's Cincinnati Parent Magazine has an article about CoCo Key Water Resort and two campgrounds not too far from Kings Island. http://www.aakmagazine.com/Articles-i-2008...r_Families.html Best regards, Italian Chef

KI Central Member of the Month?
My humble opinion is that if KIC gives a spotlight to some of the people who don't post as often, those people might feel more comfortable participating on KIC. There are a lot of potential hams out there who would love to have their picture on this site and give an interview. I see it all the time as a staff writer (my temp gig) and as a freelance writer. Also, I think by having a monthly spotlight on a certain member, it would enhance the sense of community and give some people a sense of excitement. Some folks may even view it as a potential networking tool. But hey, I'm just an average Chef on this site. It is up to the administrators to do what they feel is best. Have a great weekend!
