Look's like it's time to reconsider our stay at the Great Wolf Lodge, We were really looking forward to Winterfest/Great Wolf Lodge holiday 12/22-12/25/06.

Does anybody know if TR:TR opens at 10am like the rest of the park or do they delay openning. Also if they delay openning, what tme do they usally open. Thanks

Two were from Boomerang Bay, one sweeper and one shops, but also a honerable mention would be at guest relations helped with picnic tickets so we would not haft to go all the way up front. A gentleman there was very freindly and listened to daughters adventures telling. The other two were from International Street again one from sweeps and the other by south side shops. But really on that day it seemed everyone was freindly if you spoke to them. Also I know not an employee but the Folk singers by the Funnel Cakes Stand sang really catchy songs and often changed the words to include you into them. Like my wife's gold shoes and the way my daughter danced to thier rythems. Then later as we walked back by they referenced to us again as they remembered us from earlier. I would love to see them each weekend as the really helped Rivertown have that old time feeling to it.

I would like to publicly thank the Kings Island employee's, For being extra freindly today 7/1/06!!! At least four times we were approched by an employee who started a short conversation with us about our visit and wished us a fun filled day. So THANK YOU Kings Island EMPLOYEE'S for giving us that extra touch.

I would also like to add that they change the color of the tower different colors, and at times three different colors at once, nice effect. they used some new types of fireworks (At least to me) to go with the music at times. My 6 year old daughter was very excited and danced to the music, so I did miss some of the show because fathers will trade any show to watch thier children in such excitment. So I would haft to say Kings Island did a great job, from a family perspective. We really like the extra shows in the park over the holiday weekends as it is something new and different. I think we will always try to come over the 4th holiday.

Today around 11:30am at Boomerang Bay I noticed four very over dressed men, two with blue shirt men with ties and two white shirt men with ties. It seemed like the blue shirts were showing the white shirts around, So I started to walk somewhat close to them and overherd the elder white shirt man tell the the other men as he was pointing to a sign and said your sign shop does a great job. I walked up to him and asked if he was from Cedar Fair, He said yes. and told him that we were glad that they were thier. He was very pleasnt and said thanks.

Those firework are actually going off behind the southside international street buildings. If you go to the side lot by the admin offices ( they open-up for this event ) Those fireworks go off right in front of you, it is a real great location, and you can hear everything. I personally and highly suggest this location.

If you will be staying for the firework show, I highly suggest the extra side lot by the front restrooms. They open it up for this event and not crowded, you can get thier minutes before the show. At this location gives you a excellent view and they have extra speackers so you can hear everything. At points of the show the set off extra fire works off behind the southside of International street, so if you are in the side lot they are right in front of you. A very nice touch. This year show is way better than last year. P.S. Elvis show was great too!!

We went last year and yes it was really crowded, but it was one of the best times we have had at PKI because we knew going in that it was going to be crazy. So we took advantage of the extra entertainment did things that we normaly don't do ( Hair braiding face paint, for daughter, ect.) and we were very relaxed and said several times on the way how much fun we had that day. So this year we won't be missing it. p.s. If you are a gold club member take advantage of the Fast Track Speed Pass, If you want to go on the rides. Have Fun

Yes it was a little on the cool side, but I would of rather been in a raft than in the water. Tasmanian Typhoone really to me didn't look like they have done anything with it this year. I could not see Snowy River because the had it roped off by the Lazy River. They seemed to be well staffed in the waterpark. The employees seemed to be enjoying thier selves today, As a few would just start a coversation with us, Everyone at the seemed to enjoy thier jobs today. Lots of smilling faces.

We were thier on Friday May 19th @ around 5:30 till 9, And it was pretty much walk on any ride. We knew to ride everything then because we felt like on the next day it was going to be crazy and it was. My daughter didn't even want to wait in those lines. Although we enjoyed seeing the park and midway full of people playing games. So we just sat back and people watched for little bit, It was a nice change. I just don't understand when the park is slow on a friday night they close at 9pm, But when they are very busy on a saturday they close at 8pm.

Yes, The Awesome Aussie Twister water slide was closed today it was wraped up with large plastic tarps. The tubes were not and their was alot of Fall leaves in the tubes. Other water atracctions that was closed today were: Tasmanian Typhoone Snowy River Rampage P.S. Did I mention the band was great today!!

Waterpark was pretty slow but it was very nice to get away from the crowds in the other park. The band they had there today was great!! The water in some attractions was ok while others was pretty cold, But we knew that going in.

To be honest I don't know. When we reserved the room they repeat what's included and said including WaterPark admission.

That's what we were hoping for, So we could do Winterfest during our stay. I mentioned to them if they opened so late in December that they would miss most of Winterfest. They seemed confused and didn't know what I was talking about, So I let it go at that. They were very freindly and helpful to work with.

I don't mind, Everyone one this site shares info with eachother. Now I can only tell you the nightly rate that was given to me and it may be qouted as a holiday rate, it was based on 2 adults and 2 children with water park admission included. the rate is $339.00 per night for the Fireplace Family Suite. I wanted to ask about the rate for the other rooms but it seemed to be hard for the reservationist to get around her system as she kept mentioning that this location was new and didn't know how to navigate though the new site yet. So I didn't want to bother her with other rates. I talked with a reservationist ealier to ask if reservations were avaliable yet. And he was very suppriesed when it said I could. My family wanted to go around the end of November and I asked both reservationist if this was a firm openning. They both seemed optimistic but said if everything goes just right anything could be possible but that the Dec 22nd date is what they are going with. I would like to add that she said at the time of our booking that all rooms were avaliable.

Just to let everyone know that the Great Wolf Lodge Mason OH, Is Taking reservations for December 22nd 2006 or later. My DW, DD6, and I are booked for a Family Fireplace Suite from Dec 22- Dec 25,2006 . The Resvervationist said this was her first reservation for Mason OH location.

I agree, The true judge's are the kids. I told my daughter about new rides comming and about Dora trains. she smiled real big and was ready to go now!!

As a father of a 5 year old i'm excited to experience the new Nickelodeon Universe with her. Thanks PKI for futher family memories.
