Interesting find
I haven't had too much of a chance to explore all of the forgottenoh website yet, but the section on the old Peters Cartridge Company building is quite fascinating.

Want to see the flyers at their new home?
The paint job looks terrible compared to the classic design that was on them before they got sent to Carowinds. The best part was when I rode with my sister, who's 2 years younger than me. As we swung around, I'd purposely steer away from the direction we were travelling in, causing us to swing outward and narrowly avoid smacking into nearby trees, then swooping back inward and narrowly avoiding crashing into the ground. I had a blast, although my sister didn't think it was too funny

Construction on Flight Commander Site
As if PKI really needs another bungee-related Pay-for-play ride. Also, they're putting in some sort of a bowling game next to one of the shops in Coney Mall...

The Best Section
HB because it's fun watching the kids have a blast.

2006 Rumors
The reason is it's the closest amusement park for a lot of people. Next closest park to PKI (from "Cincinnati, Ohio", using Google Maps): Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom (Louisville) - 2 hours Holiday World (Santa Clause, Indiana) - 3 hours Indiana Beach (Monticello, Indiana) - 3.5 hours Cedar Point - 3.5 to 4 hours Erieview Park (Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio) - 4 hours Geauga Lake - 4 hours Six Flags Great America (Gurnee, Illinois) - 6 hours Six Flags St. Louis - 6 hours Paramount's Kings Dominion - 9 hours Busch Gardens Williamsburg - 10 hours And yes, Cincinnati is in a great spot: 1 hour from Dayton and Wilmington 2 hours from Indianapolis 2 hours from Lima 2.5 hours from Portsmouth 3 hours from Marietta Within 3 hours of several other small cities/towns (Wilmington, Chillicothe, Manchester, Georgetown, Washington Court House, Ripley, Russleville, Maysville, Kentucky, etc.) 4 hours from Pittsburgh

2006 Rumors
I sincerely doubt they'll get rid of Hanna-Barbera Land, especially if they hope to keep getting the "Best Kids Area" award that they've gotten the past 4 years...

Annoying habits of guests
What are some of the most annoying habits you've seen among other park guests? While I can think of several, the most annoying one to me is the basketball bouncing. People win basketballs, and then proceed to walk around the park and bounce them all the time. I get so tired of nearly tripping over basketballs because they either got away from the person who was bouncing them or the person bounced it in my path as I was walking by. The second most annoying one would be large women wearing Spandex - last year (I'm not making this up), I saw a rather large lady walking by in a skin-tight shirt and ultra-short, skin-tight shorts that had "Bootylicious" and a large lip mark plastered on the back of them

IJST detailed pics
You will need a program that supports RAR archives, such as WinRAR or UltimateZIP

Have you ever lost anything at PKI?
How do you lose your hat on that ride?

Have you ever lost anything at PKI?

PKI campground
Yeah, it is a shame, especially considering that there aren't any other campgrounds in the immediate area (Sharon Woods doesn't have one). Ceaser's Creek State Park has a campground, but that's a good half hour (or more) north of King's Island.

Have you ever lost anything at PKI?
I lost a hat on Delirium last year. It was one of those one-size-fits-all hats with a velcro strap, and I had it on as tight as I could get it. It landed in the grassy area between Delirium and Days of Thunder Raceway. My sister and I asked a guy working at Days of Thunder if we could climb the fence to get it (stupid question of course), and were told we'd have to get security. It wasn't that big of a deal to me since I already had two other Bearcats hats and it wasn't my best hat, so I just decided to live without it. Of course, this year I have to wonder why I wasn't told to fill out a lost-and-found card or anything like that.

PKI 4/29. IJST Rollback!
It was Double Ride Night last night, although I wouldn't think that would apply to IJST because of the number of people who would want to ride it.

Is Kings Island Haunted?
No problem. I'm an expert at finding info with Google

New area idea!
It's been several years since I rode Space Mountain, but it was a lot of fun as I recall.

Is this the one you're talking about?

GOLD PASS VIP FRIDAY NIGHT/ITALIAN JOB STUNT TRACK
It wasn't really that busy in HB either. I got sent home at 8 because they didn't need me anymore. I spent a good 10 or 15 minutes watching IJST before I left, and even considered riding it, but decided not to because I didn't want to wait (good thing too - within 30 minutes it was raining pretty good). I think it will be busier tomorrow and Sunday. The busiest I've seen it so far was a couple weekends ago when Anthem Blue Cross was out there. I'd love to see it that busy again. Makes things more fun.

2006 Rumors
I'm wondering what's going on over in Coney Mall now. I was over that way after I got off work at 8 (watching IJST), and suddenly there's this mysterious steel sphere structure over by Fast Pitch were Flight Trainer was...

TR: PKD, BGW, and Carowinds
My supervisors certainly don't encourage slowness, and they do encourage us to be friendly and everything. I'm trying my best to be friendly

cedar fair
No, because then they'd have to re-name everything and a lot of the paramount themeing would probably be lost.

GOLD PASS VIP FRIDAY NIGHT/ITALIAN JOB STUNT TRACK
We're definitely going to be busy this weekend... Other things going on: Music In The Parks (Saturday) Music Showcase Festival (Saturday) Job Fair (Saturday & Sunday) All that combined with the IJST Technical Preview is going to really bring people out to the park.

What do you want to see for the 2005 season
I would like to see an interactive park map on the site. Visitors could click on a ride/restaurant and get detailed info on it... For rides: Ride name (along with any other common names for that ride) When it was put in Who built it Ride capacity Height requirements Any other interesting details you want to add For restaurants: A menu listing all the items the restaurant sells and how much each item is. The best way I can think of to do this would be to use Flash (although I don't know anything about it, so I can't help). Currently, only a few rides have detailed information listed, and there isn't anything listing the height requirements for the rides. An interactive park map on the website would be a great feature because guests would know what to expect before they visited. Also, I would love to see the return of costumed characters wandering through the park during the day, in addition to the current scheduled "meet and greet" things. I remember how much fun it was to "meet" Yogi Bear and other Hanna-Barbera characters when I was little, and I'm sure that it would be a lot of fun for kids today as well.

New attraction poll
No it isn't... It might be based on Giant Top Spin, but it's not the same ride. Also, a few minor editorial comments regarding my last post. Six Flags no longer owns the park I was referring to (Six Flags Worlds of Adventure). The park is now owned by CedarFair LP (same group that owns Cedar Point) and is called Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom. The ride I was referring to is now called Texas Twister. Player - I was going by what was on Huss' site, and didn't realize that Six Flags no longer owned that park. They do however have a small water park in the Columbus area (Six Flags Wyandot Lake).

The Beach Waterpark
I've never been to The Beach, but I did go to the now-defunct Surf Cincinnati once, right before it closed... The Beach looks really cool though.

New area idea!
Re-theming Rivertown wouldn't work real well because they'd have to rip out a lot of buildings and re-theme Whitewater Canyon, which is one of the most popular water rides in the park. Personally, I'd like to see them do something with the "ghost town" along the train route between Rivertown and Boomerang Bay.
