Construction?
SlingShot isn't spread out over a couple of acres of land... I too saw the spray paint over by the old station, I thought it was interesting that there were only three (or four?) marks in that specific area, and nothing else. Oh well... I'm sure there will be real construction reports once FearFest rolls along.

Could PKI Year Round work?
THAT is die-hard. (kneels down and bows to computer screen). Sure PKI year-round could work. Would it? HA. I doubt it.

Where will the next coaster be located ?
Like what happened to King Cobra; parts were scarce; custom, machined ones were expensive and it was nearly 20 years old. That said, will Vortex leave in 2007? I doubt it will be removed before 2010. I still like that fairly-cleared area of land just northeast of Flight of Fear...

Where will the next coaster be located ?
There are MANY Arrow coasters; MANY, MANY, MANY. Replacement parts for Arrow coasters will not be hard to find, because there are so many Arrows out there. Not that you can nitpick from other operating coasters to get parts; but I'm sure there are simply more replacements stored somewhere in the world. Vortex is one of the park's bigger coasters, and one of the park's better people eaters, plus, it's a great ride. It'll be here for a while..

Question about Ohio Schools
Yeah; you are. Eagles are great; the first time I snapped a tub, my ladyfriend grabbed the handle so hard, she nearly crushed my hand. Needless to say, the rest of the ride was pretty crappy, but who cares. I'LL BE BACK... Thank JESUS they're keeping it. I think reinstalling scooters on the old Flight Commander platform would be pretty cool, mainly since it's elevated about 8-10 feet.

Desktops
Why does that NOT surprise me. Hey, having AOL teaches you many things such as patience and how NOT to write software.

Desktops
Wonderful wonderfulness... Who can go wrong with Gary Larson? By the way - AOL is the parental choice, not mine...

New sign construction
Nothing else new with the sign as of yesterday (8/21). Contrary to my negative post about the design, it looks really cool in real life! I'm eager to see what it looks like when completed.

Tique's re-opening in Nick Central in 2006?
With IJST going in for 2005, I wouldn't be surprised to see another movie/TV-esk installation for next year; maybe a Star Trek-themed ride or experience for 2006. Mission: Space seems to be a big hit at Epcot; I think if PKI put in some type of an "experience" ride like this (though high in cost), attendance figures could expedite to a notable level.

What else will get we get in 2005?
If Action Zone is on the two-year cycle, I would be surprised not to see a new movie in at least one of the sides. I'm not sure if SpongeBob 3-D is popular, or any good for that matter (never been on it), but if it's a hit with kids, why get rid of it? P.S. - Cool banner, but the size is really ****ing me off...

All new rumours!
I believe I've also said something like this in another thread a few weeks ago... Hollywoodizing International Street would make that area a great place to spend actual time in. I for one pretty much use International Street as a main park zone connector; and it works WELL. Just think what the park could do if they could get people like me to stop and spend time and money there...

Out with the old...
I can't see the park getting rid of Flying Eagles; even though the capacity is fairly low, there is ALWAYS a line. And who can't resist snapping?

Not renewing season pass
Wow...the 2006 betting has begun!! What a quick trip the 2005 announcement was... I personally am pumped for this ride. It looks S-W-E-E-T, and looks like it could fit right in Islands of Adventure, which is the whole point, if I'm not mistaken. I'm even more enticed to renew my '04 pass.

2005 Announcement Teaser/Invite
Not to bash, but that was the stupidest thing anyone could say. Son of Beast is the fifth longest coaster in the world, and the 11th fastest of both steel and wooden coasters. The trains travel just a hair over 78 miles an hour. That's 13 mi/hr faster than the legal highway limit in Ohio. It's a wooden coaster. My bet that the reason PKI went to Premier to design the trains is because RCCA couldn't design/build anykind of rolling stock that could hold up to the extreme turbulence and forces of the ride. Just think how great of a coaster Son of Beast would be if it was steel instead of wood. The queue would be backed up into Oktoberfest. Post totally off topic, but I'm sorry...the quoted one was just too extreme for me to pass comment on.

PCW And PKI Announcement Same Day
Scenery far away outside? Depending on the placement of this new ride (ahh Antique Cars ahh), I think it would be better to have the launch OUTSIDE rather than inside. From the inside of a building, you have NO perspective of the supports and secenery. Why? Because few patrons (and when I say few, I mean zero) have the chance to actually walk up to an indoor support or piece of scenery to actually see how big it is. Rather, if your perspective points are things such as a tree next to a path or a games booth, you have a whole new (truer) view as to how fast you're going. It's all in the eyes and brain.

2005 Announcement
If the Italian Job theme is correct, and the builder is Premier (assuming 2005 is the year of the coaster at all), then I'd be surprised if the coaster DID NOT incorporate LIM launching mechanisms. Think car chase; think rapid acceleration. It makes sense to me.

2005 Announcement
Not that it matters, but I received my pamphlet telling me to renew my pass for 2005, and in the lower left hand corner, it tells me how I can get unlimited access to Boomerang Bay and "an exciting NEW SURPRISE!" I doubt that this Great Wolf Lodge thing people have been talking about isn't anywhere close to the entirety of the 2005 announcement for the park. In conclusion, Frederick Douglass was black.

Where will the next coaster be located ?
I didn't say I like the Vekoma Flyind Dutchman. I MEANT that I wouldn't be surprised to see such a Vekoma model installed where the Antique Cars are. Seems as if Paramount has been liking Vekoma lately, and with one of their parks trading the Flyer with another, it sounded like an option. There is more than enough space in that area. It just sounds quite logical to me. I LIKE most things Intamin and B&M.

Tractor Trailers near Flight of Fear

Tractor Trailers near Flight of Fear
I was at the park last Wednesday (the only day of the week I have off), and while getting in line for Flight of Fear, I noticed that there were several (maybe 10+) tractor trailers (all a little rusty, by the way) sitting in a line just north of the utility buildings. Does anyone have the slightest clue as to what they're for? Storage?

Where will the next coaster be located ?
Thank you. See, I am not crazy. Just wait about a week; You will see what it will be soon enough! I'll see for myself on Wednesday, thank you very much. I'll look hard...really hard. maybe there will be three non-crazy people here!! (sniff sniff...Something smells like a Vekoma Flyind Dutchman...or is it something else?)

Ultimate Thrill on Now!
I personally favored how that (obviously) nerdy accountant was doing an on-ride with Gemini. My brother were cracking up at the end when he was screaming like a girl...lol. At least they fully explained the fact that Gemini is NOT a wooden coaster; it's just a steelie with a wooden structure.
