Maverick
AquaTrax that goes upside down??? That would be a little unnerving, more so than woody that goes upside down. Could you imagine those little boats going upsdie down. The pictures are a little deceiving. They do make everything look a little closer together, but if you see it first hand there looks to be enough clearance. Then again they (at PointBuzz) speculate just like us, but I will just stick to what my I have heard from reliable sources and with what I have seen with my own 2 eyes. Also check out the layout of PortAventura's new coaster which is a confirmed WindRider with the aerial layout of Maverick's footers. The designs are similar.

Maverick
Unsure how you have confirmed Maverick will not be an Intamin WingRider? Just because track is currently close to the ground the WingRider has a different vehicle than the Arrow 4th dimension. Look at what PortAventura is getting and compare its layout to that of the footers poured at CP. I will take your appology in about 8 days.

Cedar Points 2007 Project
Now I understand we may have some worried if the decide to flood the entire area and then build the remainder of the track out in to the lake. Because the freezing of Lake Eire would have absolutely no effect on the metal structure of a coaster. Then again this will be a very unsafe ride because the pennisula that Cedar Point is built on is sinking in to Lake Erie. Or in reality this ride will be another great addition to CP Maverick Awaits its debut in 2007

Fearfest
Just wondering if anyone has seen the information regarding Cedar Points new attraction this year. Fear Faire "Putting the Dark in the Dark Ages..." The advertisements look awesome for this attraction and it will be an addition to the other great attractions at CP for HalloWeekends. I know it has been rumored on here that FearFest will be back to 2000 form, but we can only hope that FearFest gets some help from CedarFair, because their events aren not geared to kids once the lights go down. I would be happy with a larger fright zone or atleast something like WereWolf Canyon. Anyone else feel this way or see this change a coming?

Cedar Points 2007 Project
How many coasters have you built??? So you are an expert on this??? I could understand your concern if you knew what type and how fast this coaster will be... Press Release From Cedar Point Cedar Points new coaster will be the first ever Noose coaster where guests are restrained by their necks and hang from the side of the track. Coaster experts like Swanky333 have raised concern over the safety of this new ride, but Cedar Point feels that the rewards of a new groundbreaking coaster are worth the chances of snaping peoples necks. This concern would have been fine if you would have waited till the coaster and facts were released, but as of right now you are putting the cart before the mule.

A hint of the new ride
Kind of an idiotic way to start a post, with a false statement. Seeing as how many coasters are built completely after the park closes to the general public or atleast there are no major signs of construction until October. Heres the perfect example, ValleyFair (another great CF park) will be receiving a GCI woodie this year. So far there are only survey markers and lumber. Not a single footer has been poured yet. Im not saying KI is getting a coaster this year, but don't assume anything just because you havent seen any footers or construction yet.

Cedar Points 2007 Project
Maverick now has inversion number 2 almost completed and there is still a lot of track left to go up and the fact this thing has already been started. Start looking for some contstruction in other areas outside of the current construction site. Heres a great shot of the Cutback Inversion

Helix's
Beast without a doubt, but IJST has some nice G force and is a unique way to start the ride off. Launched up through a helix *cough* parking garage*cough* Best Helix outside of KI is Goliath at Six Flags over Texas. They call that the Centerfuge for a reasson.

The Lights were on...
Im glad they are cleaning, but still would someone get up there with some Windex. The mirrors need a little cleaning.

Congo Falls
Maybe the water tower is a security meassure for all the Flaming people do about SOB, incase it finally catches on fire they would have a nice water supply to put it out. Seriously tear it down, that whole area was a joke with its layout. Hey look at all the new shiney concrete we put down, looks like an Action Zone to me. Honestly would like to see Congo Falls moved to the RiverTown area and put out in the woods, would definately give it a better atmosphere, but Im not really a fan of the ride, especially when it is compared to rides like Jurasic Park River Adventure, Tanzanic Tidlewave, or even Journey to Atlantis. Never been a fan of the go up a hill, left turn, drop, big splash. Ohhh I think I just wet myself, nope wait just the ride...

Cedar Points 2007 Project
Aquatrax going upside down? First Inversion Started Well so far we have a giant high speed banked turn, a great airtime ejector hill, LIM type track spotted, and an inversion almost completed. Anyone still pushing for the Aquatrax coaster? Remember this is some of the earliest construction CP has ever started laying track in recent history. Maverick will be coming soon...

2007 Season Pass Announcement coming
Once again Cedar Fair has realized they cannot overprice their tickets. For example look at what has happend to Cedar Point the last few years, prices were raised attendance was hurt and now prices for tickets and inside the park have been lowered. Hopefully se***on p*** prices are a sign of things to come price wise from Cedar Fair. I will be renewing my p*** during FearFest.

Update to the construction work going on at CP on Maverick. Heres an interesting photo from point buzz that shows track that seems designed to have LIM's attached to it. Maveric LIM Section

Fearfest
Well the roaming trash cans are throughout the the Frontier Trail Scare Zone. Basically 2 different ones. You have the type with the person basically inside the giant theme park size trash can that looks harmless until they pop up out of the trash can and chase people with the can around them. Quite a startle yet hillarious at the same time. Great effect with the darkness and fog. The 2nd type is the person who is harmlessly leaning on said trash can and then slides with the can across the midway right up next to an unexpecting guest with a very loud horn/buzzer going off right when they are next to the person. Think KI slider excpet with a person and trash can on skates, oh yeah and the really loud buzzer/horn in the ear. There are only 2 or 3 total of these on the Frontier Trail, but there are enough trash cans that you think everyone of them is somebody.

Fearfest
If CF is going to be putting their mark on this FearFest, which has been rumored. I only hope that they turn WWC in to an attraction like WereWolf Canyon at CP. WereWolf Canyon is a great haunt, with tons of fog, darkness, Werewolves, and pine trees. Honestly a great haunt and one that is definately a little intense because of the atmosphere and the closness of the actors. They are great in that haunt at seperating people from the group. Can only hope we see an addition of something like this soon to FearFest and CP also has one of the best ScareZones arounds, especially with the people in the roaming trash cans.

Do you think Son of Beast will be torn down?
Yeah, but think how great the smores would taste with chemically treated marshmallows. Plus think of all the pretty colors those chemicals would make. I don't know we might get lung cancer, but it would be a good show.

Cedar Points 2007 Project
Yes it does have low points, but if the passengers are locked in position either flying or sitting I still feel that there would be enough clearance. Atleast from everything I have seen so far. I think it is still very plausible for it to be more than an Intamin Twister, especially from what I have been told.

Do you think Son of Beast will be torn down?
No I dont think it will be, but if so i will bring the marshmallows and we can all sing KomByYah around the camp fire.

Cedar Points 2007 Project
They are surveying over by the Cedar Creek Mine Ride, if you have visted the park lately you would notice the crews over there and also the number of survey flags. Anyone find it strange they have started laying track so soon. I know winters on the lake are harsh, but they have not started a coaster this soon for a long time. Look at Millie and TTD and when they were started. Aquatrax, possibly, but CP is not much for theming which would be the most logical reasson for starting an Aquatrx so early. Look towards Port Adventura for answers. Cant wait for next seasson on the lake.

Fearfest
I think 2000 still created the best FearFest yet, even though the additions of the scare zones was excelent last year and Rivertown had an excelent overall theme. I still feel that the 2000 was the best because of the overall transformation of the park. The Torture Tower and Freezer were amazing. I know they cause a lot of congestion around the tower but Torture Tower was very unique and was well worth the wait. Just the elevator ride up was suspenseful enough, not to mention the bloody hand prints on the windows of the elevator. Hopefully KIs FearFest under CF will transform back to its orginal 2000 glory with a more mature audience experience after the sun goes down.

Son of Beast To Be Partly Rebuilt
Ill bring the marshmallows when they light it on fire. Hope somebody has a really long stick because its going to be a hot one.
