Top Gun is Maverick?
Best scene in Top Gun is the all male overly sweaty beach volleyball game Afterall that is what ace fighter pilots do, get greased up and play beach volleyball. I think this scene was the insperassion for BayWatch and all of the slow motion running scenes.

Working behind Racer
Just a guess but PKIC could become the official fan site of KI, which in my opinion it is. If the announcement mentioned is not about KI or not necissarily only about PKIC then this is my guess. Who knows I am just going to wait and see.

New West Virginia Water Park?

Working behind Racer
Where is my gas can, I need to add fuel to this fire... Seriously I would think more along the lines of another flat like a screamin swing, but a new coaster that just seems like pushing it. Who knows, but maybe Cedar Fair alterd the plans that Paramount had. Maybe KI will get a Screamin Squirle or a Super Saturator, still fits the family friendly approach and wouldnt be a huge capital investment.

King Cobra will not be installed anywhere, because it has a major case of rot. If the park has sold it then I would say it was sold for scrap. Go ride ShockWave at Kings Dominion for your King Cobra fix. Hmm should be interesting to see what develops.

Feedback on the new Forums
I like the layout and especially how it moves to the newest posts since your last post in a topic. But like any change it is definatley taking some getting use to.

Wood Coasters Being Removed?
Steel Wheels + Steel Track + Poor Builder + Big Motha (Shut your Mouth) Coaster = Rough Ride. ^ ^ That is my SoB equation and sums up the problems pretty well. Here is a question that I have always wondered. Why could you not build a coaster train with leaf springs? They dont take up much room, but they would help lessen the jolting/jackhammering effect. Even hay wagons have leaf springs, why not a coaster train? (Geesh I just showed my farming origins) Just a thought. Hopfully someone with an engineering background can answer this one for me.

Thanks For Another Great Season!
Well another great seasson at Kings Island has come and gone. This was definately a seasson of change. First off, Thank You to the staff of PKIC that do a great job of keeping this site running at full speed and providing excelent content for all of the members. This site helps me better deal with the offseasson and I greatly appreciate the time comitment you all put in to making this site the best you can. The 06 seasson for myself was some what of an emotional roller coaster. The saddness of loosing HBL and especially the BusyTown Grill. I loved the Richard Scary books as a child and to see his characters disappear from the building was just saddening to myself. Nick U though was an amazing addition to the park and my niece and nephew were delighted to see all of the favorite characters. Avatar was a great new ride and I have never seen a grown women panic so much once it started to rotate on the track. I purposley forgot to tell her that one small detail. I hope to see many great additions to this area over the next few years. The exciting anouncement that the new ownership would be Cedar Fair. I have had the privalge of meeting many of the individuals who run Cedar Fair, including Mr. Kinzel on a few occasions. I have always been impressed at how they interact with people and especially how they treat you as a friend. Just with the small changes we have already seen happen during Fear Fest I think Cedar Fair will bring many great things to Kings Island over the next few years. Overall this seasson was one of great change and sometimes change is very dificult, but this change will be for the better. I am excited about the upcoming 07 seasson and to see what impact Cedar Fair will truly make with an entire seasson to run Kings Island. 2007 will be very exciting, but the off seasson will be fun once again because of this great site and all the members who make it fun to visit. Heres looking forward to the winter and the upcoming 2007 seasson, Heres to a great 2006 seasson of change at Kings Island, and last but not least heres to all the member that will join me in the forums this off seasson...

Kings Island Injury Report?
Whats that smell??? Smells like BullSh*t... Mrs. RailRider has a first aid and CPR liscense through the state of Ohio, I guess that means should is an expert on Amusement Park Safety. Man I never knew that with her credentials she could become the director of MidWest Operations for ASO.

Friday 10/27 Alert
Yeah should be a great night for a spin on the rides. With the frigid weather and rain. I would imagine tonight KI will be a ghost town...

Kings Island Injury Report?
I just wonder how much is valid with this site. Almost comes across as not for profit lobbying group. They obviously have an agenda to push, because they do not list the number of circuits the ride has made for the year and compare that to the number of complaints. Honestly very very small ratio here. Someone is pushing their agenda and to me their site doesn't hold water. Although I do find the Six Flags Over Texas reports interesting. Especially Titan. I have been on this ride and there is a reasson the final section is called the centerfuge. I definately had tunnel vision after going through this section and have never experienced anything like it on any other ride. Definately pulling high g's through this section which was giving me the fighter pilot effect of tunnel vision. I am pretty tolerant of g's, but this thing delivers them for a sustained period. My wife had the same experience. Titan still is a great ride and will ride it whenever possible.

Screamin' Demon
The last time I rode ThunderBolt Express it was more rust than any other color. The ride looked real safe, but still took a loop.

What New Attraction Can We Expect From Cedar Fair
I was not referring to Superman Ultimate Escape as Steel Venom, but as the Twisted Impulse coaster like Wicked Twister built at Valley Fair in 2003 known as Steel Venom. Cedar Fair later renamed SUE as Steel Venom when they bought Gueaga Lake.

PKICentral announces new film!
The trailer looks great. Will the video also include special events like FearFest and WinterFest? Cant wait for the final product. Also I watched the YouTube trailer and after that checked out the Alarm Klock. That was hillarious Also Combat I watched the Letter From Iraq. Very Nicely Done...

Vortex's Destruction
Thank you Chuck Norris...

A hint of the new ride
Dont expect anything big from CF for the 2007 seasson. They will honor the commitments Paramount Parks already made and will also perform a general rebeatuification of KI. Look for 08 or 09 to be the first years that we see CF make a big impact ride wise.

Cedar Fair Declares Cash Distribution
Love the fact they have gotten ride of the Paramount. Can only hope we are not reading too much in to this. Looks like a sign of more good things to come.

So you think Camden Park is ghetto?
I actually took a historic steam engine out of Chillicothe Ohio to Camdem Park about 13 years ago. Must say it was quite an oldfashioned experience. Old time train and classic small family park. Felt like I was going back in time. The Dipper was great and ThunderBolt Express was pretty good too. Shame to see it go by the way side, but glad the Dipper is still running great. Nice to see a traditional old park hanging on, kinda rare anymore.

Great Wolf Lodge Sign
Sorry Combat I was paraphrasing. Atleast everyone still remembers the dumbest thing ever uttered on this site...

SOB Reapair Crew
I have missed ridding Sonnie while at FearFest. Love a good cold night time ride on that monster. The numbness helps lessen the pain.

Scrambler & Italian Job
Not to be a complete @ss, but... Skywriter, your posts are almost impossible to read because of the horrible spelling and gramar. I am not asking for perfection, but come on preview your posts before putting them up and if you dont see your errors, work a little harder in english class. Neo, did everyone blow up and die or have you overexagerated this story? Just curious, because I really dont see anyone freaking out on IJ:ST that much nor being able to climb out. Kinda cozy in those seats. Would love to see that lady freak out on Mummy when the entire room is on fire. Back to the original topic. Like said before the flame does not add that much light to the surrounding area, because it shoots straight up in the air with nothing to reflect off of. Also I would guess that it was either having technical dificulties with the flame. Maybe someone can answer this question. I know with Volcano at PKD they turn the flame off when there are high winds. Makes sense they would do the same for IJ:ST, but do they take the wind in to considerations since it is not that high off the ground.

Great Wolf Lodge Sign
Even with them not having an interest in GWL or the land I could still see Cedar Fair building a new campground on some of the land they do own surrounding the park. Something along the lines of Light House Point would be very nice, plus I think it would be a very welcome addition to the park. Because I will not visit any park that doesn't have a camp ground or other lodging choices...

A bit of Fear Fest disappointment
Its been that way both times I have been there. So I just turned around and didn't do it. Not worth wasting my time when I could go through one of the other houses again.

What to do at FF
My order of not to miss attractions at FearFest 1. Asylum 2. Cowboy Carnage 3. Massacre Manor 4. Headless Hollow 5. Circus of Horrors I agree pass on Psycho Path, basically the same it has been for a few years and the groups are just too large. Kinda kills the whole lost in the woods experience. Dont miss going through The WorkSite and CornStalkers. Both are great attractions with very short wait time.
