Does the threat of terrorism deter you from attending parks?
Carowinds has hidden camera as well as plain clothes guards. Other than this, I doubt it, a customer's keys shouldn't be able to lock up a fridge at Carowinds that stays in the park unattended. I seen an employee do with my own keys, she locked it up and left. I probably should have went to Guest Services and complained but I didn't want to get the young lady fired.

WDW: Alligator reportedly drags child into Seven Seas Lagoon
So the story changes, a certain TV judge says the truth doesn't change as time tick tocks away. I have questioned a foul play from the start but this makes me wonder more.

Does the threat of terrorism deter you from attending parks?
I offer the suggestion of a system like Univerisal has on their coasters. Metal detectors at the entrance to the rides.

Does the threat of terrorism deter you from attending parks?
In my mind, it would fall under the loose article policy and not be allowed on rides.... Maybe I should be mentioned that too.

Does the threat of terrorism deter you from attending parks?
Guests are in more danger waiting to be checked for weapons outside the parks than inside the park once being checked. I believe that should someone be carrying a bomb or place a bomb in the plaza of an amusement park just prior to opening that is when the most loss of life would be. Am I for the metal detectors at Carowinds, yes I firmly believe they are needed; Charlotte is a dangerous place especially if you wander off the interstate in the wrong part and Carowinds attracts a rough crowd sometimes. However I also believe that Carowinds should allow concealed carry permit gun owners to carry inside the park, I would love to Carowinds encourage concealed carry by offering a discount to anyone who volunteerly (and discreetly) letting the park know that are carrying. Maybe issuing a free ID card that can be presented to security prior or during the metal check.

Intoxicated parents let 15-year-old son drive to Cedar Point
And? I had a permit at 15 but it wasn't uncommon for a friend of the family to ask me to drive somewhere because he had been drinking and didn't want to get a DUI.

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
The footing design may or may not have been done by GCI or RMC, it can be done by a different contractor. I will note that while Thunder Road was designed by Curtis Summers of PTC, the actual wooden structure was built by locals hired by Carowinds. Did PTC have someone in charge of construction, maybe but my understanding is that Carowinds themselves were in charge of the construction. RMC has stated before that just because they design the coaster doesn't mean they erect it. Also footing design can be based on soil and ground conditions.

Some Tropical Plunge questions
Pipeline Peak at Carowinds is a ProSlide complex, the body slides can cause anywhere from skin irritation to deep cuts. When I worked at Wet n' Wild Greensboro, our ProSlide body slides closed a few times because of guests getting anywhere from irritation to blisters. I rode all of the Tube slides on Blackbeard(same as Tropical Plunge) but won't get on the body slides, my wife rode one of them and she had no irritation at all. Between being scared of the capsules and the risk of blisters, I am too chicken to do body slides. I was told at WnW that the problems were caused by dry spots on the slides by one of the lifeguards.

Your kid doesn't happen to be a newspaper deliverer by chance? No, but it might teach her somethings. She got the $2 for passing second grade from her great grandparents.

WDW: Alligator reportedly drags child into Seven Seas Lagoon
http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/m/#publication?id=UW230 I thought I posted this the day of but I posted the wrong link. The answer is when the prey is too big to shallowed whole. Maybe that's what the gator was doing then.

WDW: Alligator reportedly drags child into Seven Seas Lagoon
My understanding is that a gator can shallow a small child whole, so I am surprised they found the child with only a few puncture wounds. Maybe the gator didn't find human so tasty.
