Kings Island General Discussion 2025
I think a lot of the problems mentioned have been problems for a while now and that is nothing new. But since the merger everyone is looking closer and seeing things have been wrong, but it didn't just happen this year. Even in 2023 before the merger things were not that great. The same cuts were coming no matter what happened. Cedar Fair had a ton of debt and they probably would have had years like this no matter what. The massive debt that they accumulated was just not going to disappear.

Six Flags and Cedar Fair Merge
I fear darker days are to come. They will probably not reach the margins that they promised to investors, so they may try to cut more. You think there isn't that much left to cut, but they can cut a whole lot more if they tried. I would not be surprised if they tried to remove another layer of management from the park.

I would rather the park cut a whole show if that means they could schedule more people to clean the park and help staff the drink locations. But that is just me personally I know a lot of people love the shows, but they eat up so much budget when you think about it.

I think it would be cool if they did wristbands with a QR code that links to the itinerary on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have yet to ride it, but the drop is a lot steeper than I thought it would be. Looks short though, but doesn't mean you won't still have fun.

Six Flags and Cedar Fair Merge
I am hoping that the park manager role really fulfills the role of general manager and that someone is promoted internally from Kings Island to this role. Someone that worked directly under Mike and will help to continue his legacy when he is gone. My hope is the park manager role pretty much is the GM just with a pay cut to appease the people in accounting.

If Mike sees this I wanted to thank him for everything he has done for the park and preserving its history. It is sad to see someone go especially someone you knows cares so much about the park. This is definitely a scary time and will be the reason the park truly starts to see the merger.

Did anyone go to the mothers day buffet if so how was it?

Kings Island 2025 Food Reviews and Discussion
I imagine we will see the same food issues tomorrow if not more due to the very large amount of people that went through today. But next weekend is when I would look for big changes to dining,.

Does anyone know if Diamondback will go back to three train operation this season? Also are Banshee and Orion running all 3 trains today? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

French Corner has a bar so international street technically does have a bar just at the very far end!

That sucks a lot, but it makes sense. At the end of the day we have escaped a lot of the merger negative results, but that is give and take. I would rather lose the monster than any other flat ride. Will be interesting to see what they do with that area. I could see another ride kind of like the monster, but able to load more people. Shame we did not get a proper send off, but it was broken so it is understandable.

Looks like the royal fountain got a fresh coat of paint, or I’m just not used to seeing it this clean! Video is posted on tik tok of them filling it up.

Do you have anything to share about losing the fireworks or is it insider information that can not be released. I am super grateful for the fireworks and the park would not be the same without them and I am glad that Mike sees the value in having them! If Mike sees this I want to say my family and I are super grateful the fireworks are still happening!

I'm so glad to see the fireworks returning this year—they're such an important part of the park experience. I was a bit worried they might limit them to just Friday and Saturday nights, so it's great to see them sticking with the usual schedule of every 10pm close, even with the budget constraints. I am hoping that we see a different show in the showplace theater next year.

That is a tough location to have food in. I feel like even though it’s near two rides it doesn’t offer anything of substance really. I would lose my mind working there it is probably so slow.

I don't typically view Planet Snoopy from this angle so personally it does not really effect me the only place you can see it from there is the tower unless your craning your head on Diamondback to look at Planet Snoopy. While it isn't pretty I think this vantage point makes it look worse and even then when I'm looking out from the Eiffel Tower I don't usually look at Planet Snoopy.

Although we didn’t get a new coaster this year it is reassuring to see how much was invested in the park infrastructure during the offseason. It always makes the future of the park look a lot better when things are renovated and will be preserved for years to come.

I think I've addressed this before, but I feel that the Eiffel Tower is our front gate coaster and to put anything else in front of it would ruin the skyline. I think what really makes it special is when you walk in and the Eiffel Tower is the main focus for your eyes not a coaster. What I like is no coaster obstructs that view. All the coaster are around the centerpiece of the park and If you get rid of Invertigo I guess you could put something in the front, but I would want it to be something close to the ground so it does not obstruct the site lines of the tower.

What is the first thing everyone plans to do at the park when it opens?

Kings Island General Discussion 2025
I will be interested to see if Banshee runs 2 or 3 trains this year. I think after all the issues it might be only 2 trains and a lot of the time it does end up stacking in the station so it does not really matter whether there are 2 or 3 trains.

They served soft serve, but they did not serve the Blue Ice Cream. I think it is more dole whip like.

Is railblazer welded together and also it is a prototype ride? If one of these are true I doubt we see a railblazer relocation since welds would be harder to take apart then bolts.

Soak City 2025 Construction Updates
I understand Alpen Fury not opening in time it is such a major addition should they be further a little further a long sure, but I would not want to be working on building a coaster when everything is frozen. I think major additions that did not start construction until August or even later are understandable not being open until later, but not getting the water park ready would be unacceptable.
