MonteZOOMA'S Revenge opening 2025!
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailynews.com/2025/05/02/montezooma-coaster-track-arrives-at-knotts-berry-farm/amp/ https://www.ocregister.com/2025/05/02/montezooma-coaster-track-arrives-at-knotts-berry-farm/amp/ Two sources now claim there is new track on site for Montezuma's Revenge. I'm glad the project actuyahows some signs of life again however with replacing lots of track, removing the flywheel launch, and the classic Schwarzkopf trains - is it technically even the same ride anymore?

Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor To Close After 2025.
Is this a question or a statement? Would be great to see it go to the state Fair

Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor To Close After 2025.
I was thinking about the rides still at the park and what is most likely not going to get scrapped - Rajun Cajun: is a portable coaster so maybe it's does get a new home at a smaller park. The SLC: just got some upgrades recently and SLCs seem to be relocated rather often so maybe it also finds a new home Firebird: I would say yes but it's so rough and never seems to have a line as it is. They just scrapped green Lantern so B&M coasters are not exempt from the wreaking ball. I personally think this one is done Joker's Jinx: Could be relocated but it's aging and it could be used for parts on various other aging premier Launch coasters in the chain Batwing: immediately scrapped Roar: ditto Superman: I think it's too large to relocate. Whatever park would take it would need alot of property and I don't think they are looking to keep an Intamin around if they don't have to. Wild One: This one is the one I hope gets relocated somewhere considering its history and the fact it's a great woodie and still runs great! Even if the state fair took it or some park outside the chain I'd be happy. I'm sure ACE will probably do whatever they can to facilitate the ride being relocated rather than scrapped if possible Maybe some of the flats get relocated?

Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor To Close After 2025.
To be honest I didn't think they would keep all the parks. This has happened before. Gauga Lake closed after CF acquires KI. We've seen it before. Underperforming park is retired and the property is sold. Rides are relocated or scrapped. I personally think six flags America had some good coasters but overall that park was easily the worst park I've ever been to considering operations, cleanliness, and food.

AlpenFury- New for 2025 at Canada's Wonderland
- AlpenFury- New for 2025 at Canada's Wonderland
Thank you for the update! I also reached out to the park and they confirmed that while there is no opening day scheduled for Alpen Fury, the other coaster should all be operational for opening day and after.- AlpenFury- New for 2025 at Canada's Wonderland
Any updates on Alpen Fury these days? I'm thinking about a mid May trip to wonderland and was wondering if it's not completed, will it impact the other rides such as Vortex and thunder run that also go through the mountain? Will they be closed during the final stages of construction?- Flight of Fear Light Package Upgrade for 2025
This looks great. Gonna have to try and get a ride this weekend- Backlot Stunt Coaster Becomes Queen City Stunt Coaster
Well I rode it last night and the billboards and signage look great however none of the effects with the helicopter or fire were working so if they have decided not to do that anymore it will be a crying shame considering that our stunt cars was the only one that had those effects working previously- Kings Island General Discussion 2025
I'm actually interested in riding the junkyard coaster tomorrow to see the new enhancements- Monster appears to be retired ?
To be fair the monster has disappeared I believe twice in park history. Once in the mid 1980s it was gone for a season and then returned and then around 2015/16ish it was not assembled for awhile too because of a refurbishment. That was nearly 10 years ago and with possible maintenance cuts maybe the park is behind on getting it ready. Regardless I do hope that they realize that the monster has its fan base and a park original ride deserves to have at a minimum two weeks notice for final rides.- Monster appears to be retired ?
Please say this isn't true.- Pantherian at KD not opening until summer
I think it's what you enjoy in a coaster. I-305 is my favorite coaster period and I have ridden everything at BGW. ACERs I feel are understanding and professional with their complaints but I hear more and more rumbles amongst them about the lack of transparency from parks about retiring rides or having unannounced extended closures. What is very unfortunate is this year Spring Conference in Virginia has a rather sparse schedule of events as compared to Kings Island Spring Con and other ACE events from last year like Preservation Con. It also cost quite a bit more than those other cons that offered more. So having the top ride at KD possibly down and KD making the announcement literally less than a week after the registration for an ACE conference opened up is very frustrating. Yes ACERs won't be screaming about it but I know that I am not the only one that will file a polite complaint at Kings Dominion guest services during my visit if the ride is still down. We all understand that things break or projects get behind schedule but when you don't communicate that in a timely fashion and people invest hundreds to thousands of dollars in a trip, I think the park should know how individuals feel about that. I actually lodged a complaint at Cedar Point last fall after going on a Friday morning before haunt and realizing that 1/4 of the coasters were not operating. The guest services guy was super polite and said he agreed that it should have been communicated on the website that CP doesn't run all their rides during the weekdays in Oct. Obviously the lack of communication comes from someone much higher up than the guest services guy but my point is that guests and even lower level employees all understand the fact that when parks do not communicate in a timely fashion, people get burnt. To be fair, I have already bought flights and hotels for the ACE Spring Conference but had they announced this closure a week ago, I might not have paid for an ACE conference- Pantherian at KD not opening until summer
I'm going to the ACE conference and trust me there's going to be some pretty upset people if this is down during the conference- Worlds of Fun 2025 Upgrades
Glad to see Zulu repainted... maybe they don't plan on removing it as was rumored?- Would you welcome a 2010s Six Flags cloned ride?
No not really- Xtreme Skyflyer is being Removed
You know they could just relocate Skyhawk to Kings Island seeing as it is adjacent to the snake River falls plot of land and it always seems to have short lines and I presume power ridership than some other flats at CP- WoF Timberwolf Closed 2025
Just stumbled across this information on the world's of Fun website. Looks like Timberwolf is going to be closed all season. Wonder why?- Xtreme Skyflyer is being Removed
The one and only ride at the park I can never seem to get on is Snoopy's Space Buggies. Only credit in the entire park I don't have now (excluding Soak City). The one time I had a kid (my little sister) they still turned me away because she "didn't need a supervising adult" despite us being the only people in line for the ride.- Xtreme Skyflyer is being Removed
Actually a scream n swing would look great in that spot. Could totally swing out and over the gift shop. I do wonder if it's too close to Delirium to have another swinging type ride though- Xtreme Skyflyer is being Removed
Interesting I checked it earlier today and it was still on there.- An apparent “leak” suggesting Kingda Ka is getting the axe
I personally agree that Top Thrill Dragster was better than Kingda Ka however it's still hurts to see it go and even more so that great adventure has lost so many other rides the past two seasons- Las Vegas Adventuredome and Big Apple Coaster
For presidents day weekend I made a trip out to Vegas with my partner to get a couple rollercoaster credits during the rather frigid winter months. The Circus Circus hotel/casino is currently for sale so who knows if it's days are numbered considering that sometimes they completely renovate a hotel and sometimes they just knock it down and start over. Regardless it seemed like a good time to visit Vegas and we had a pretty good time. So first up was the Big Apple Coaster at New York New York. The only Togo left in the USA, this one runs premier trains similar to full throttle at Magic Mountain. The cost is $25 and $10 for a reride. You get a 20% if you buy a monorail ticket so we got to ride twice for $30. Still a rip off but hey cheaper than flying to Japan to ride a Togo. So seeming as king cobra closed before I was born, this was my first Togo and I had mixed feelings about it. In the back it definitely had some jarring transitions but the front rode much smoother. The first half of the ride with the three big drops, the loop, and the dive loop was amazing but the mid course and the rest of the ride becomes quite boring. Overall it's a cool ride but they shouldn't be charging that much money for it. However, it had a 30 min line so apparently it's still pretty popular. It's also worth noting that you must put all of your lose articles in a locker for this ride and the lockers cost an additional fee of $1 Adventuredome at Circus Circus was home to two coasters. The S&S El Loco was alot more fun than I was expecting it to be but unfortunately it was having constant downtime meaning we only go one ride in on it because it broke down 3 other times we tried to get a reride. Of course canyon blaster is the star of the show with its 4 inversions and helix through the mountain. Like most arrows it's smoother in the back rows but also gave me a prolonged grey out existing the first loop, through the second loop, and into the turnaround. Very good ride. Of course we rode some of the flats which aren't worth writing home about with the exception of the chance inverter which I believe is a pretty rare flat these days. I personally haven't seen one anywhere else so it was great to finally get to ride one. Adventuredome was priced at $60 which also seemed high for what it was however that must be a trend in Las Vegas.- Xtreme Skyflyer is being Removed
I have no source so I'm not calling it a done deal however we saw plenty of rides and coasters removed at the end of 2024 without a source so it wouldn't surprise me especially considering that paid attractions seem less and less popular with guests and the age of the sky coaster model can't be in its favor- Its 294 miles to Chicago, its dark, and we're wearing sunglasses- silver2005's Indiana/Chicago/Cleveland TR and Planning
In my experience with Six Flags Great America, the park can be really packed! If you do not want to purchase a fast pass, you will need to arrive before the park opens to rope drop maxXforce otherwise forget it. Then immediately head to the left as most people go up the right side of the park towards raging bull and whizzer. As for Indiana Beach, I don't have any advice except for have fun! Some rides won't open right away but give them time and they will probably open later in the afternoon. - AlpenFury- New for 2025 at Canada's Wonderland
