So fara really great day at the park, my 10th visit this season (I'd say that Gold Pass has paid off and then some). Light crowd, great weather. I've hit Mystic, Banshee, Diamondback and WindSeeker already and I could have fit in a lot more but I'm pacing myself and just enjoying the day at a leisurely pace.

I love this guy's work, so to see a series that has primarily Disney and Universal rides talk about my home park is awesome. Hoping to convince Some Jerk with a Camera to do a vlog at Kings Island one day too!

Turned out most of the places were open after 10 and till closing so I was good. I got some LaRosa's shortly after 10 in Rivertown, enjoyed the fireworks and then rode Mystic (which is crazy awesome at night) and The Beast (which was also great at 11:30 at night) and headed home. Great way to spend the evening after work.

Th chicken tenders and fries in Festhaus are good tonight.

Just got here after getting off work at 4. Anybody know what restaurants are open later since the park closes at 12 tonight?

Not sure what the issue is but there was a train stuck on the lift hill for Vortex that just got moving. It was there like 5-10 minutes.

That long queue was actually backing up for the first time I can recall in years.

This might sound crazy to say (given that no one likes long line waits), but it warms my nostalgic heart when a ride like 'The Bat' can have a 30 minute wait. Harkens me back to when it was 'Top Gun' and the shiney new toy in the park. Granted the wait then would have been two hours.

Chicken Shack isn't too bad at Noon.

Invertigo was closed, at least it was 20 minutes ago. Bat is sitting at a 15-20 minute wait.

Shake, Rattle and Roll is a walk on. I know everyone was waiting on that info :-D. Seriously though, it is a beautiful day out. Not hot at all, I think the high will be 73 today. Perfect park weather.

Didn't want to waste a new thread on this. Figured this thread is good enough to say this though. Give me the strength KIC board. I want to ride Drop Tower and yet I always get nervous. I have no problem with the coasters, but that slow, rotating elevation just makes me stop dead in my tracks. But I want to get on it at least once this year. So lend me your moral support please.

I saw them interviewed regarding that on KI's FB feed.

Oh I feel the same way, upon approaching the park. I do miss the days when only the Eifel Tower was visible on the horizon. But I love how the park is enclosed. Kings Island has the benefit of size so that the park feels separate from the parking lot and you feel completely enclosed.

Question. Is there a discount on locker rentals for Gold Pass Holders?

Beast was about 15 minutes for the front seat.

Heading out to the park. Glad the weather decided to push back any storms until late evening. Not sure if I'll hit Soak City but coming prepared in case.

There is only one coaster left in the park that I have never rode before: Invertigo. I'm not a big fan of the whole boomerang style, but for posterity I know I need to ride it this summer. I intend also one day this summer to hit every coaster in a day, something I've always wanted to do as a personal endurance, Ha!

Thinking about going to the park tomorrow for just a few hours mid afternoon. That's the best part about having a Gold Pass I think, the ability to just decide mid-day "hey I feel like riding Diamondback" (also helps when you're just a 40 minute drive away too).

I had not rode it in a few years, and I will admit it felt more jerky than I remembered. I am a few years older though, so I think my body aches a bit more easily than it used it. I still enjoyed it though. when I rode Vortex I did not feel the banging that so many complain about though. So I guess as with all rides it's different for every rider.
