  1. I was really looking forward to watching Vortex come down, oh well....
  2. Just took a screen shot myself. Now that would be a ride!!! Not seeing the ground would be intense.
  3. I would imagine just some basic maintenance, and they want to stay dry.
  4. I am going to say they probably hoped to salvage it somehow, someway.
  5. That would look pretty cool, they would look kind of like a comet/shooting star when seen from anywhere in the park.
  6. That would have been classic.
  7. AWESOME!!! I was not expecting that!!!
  8. Exactly, this crane is more than capable of lifting the those track sections.
  9. I am going to say they will finish construction with the other cranes they have on site.
  10. Wish they would either turn the Orion cam a little more, or raise up and turn the Diamondback cam so we could see the turn around, and Vortex come down.
  11. They are loading part of the white crane on a truck, guess we will see if it heads back towards the turn around?
  12. Cam is back on!
  13. Cam is back on
  14. I am thinking they will the assemble it on the ground, use both large cranes for the pick, one on each end, then use the 3rd crane with the man basket to lift the workers to bolt it up.
  15. That's what i don't understand, if you take off from property that is not owned by KI, and do not fly over the park, drone footage should be allowed.
  16. They said the cams were down due to software update, and it would take a few days. It was then posted a few pages ago that they are now saying it is due to the power being shut off on the tower so workers could install lighting.
  17. I think it is more of, people do not like being lied to, especially when it is obvious. Does the park owe anyone an explanation? No, but stop with the excuses.
  18. Just clicking through the pictures it is still working. Latest pic was 10:55am this morning.
  19. So first the cams were down due to a software update, now it is because they have to shut the power down on the tower to install Christmas lights? That is BS, i don't understand why they wouldn't just tell the truth.
  20. Called a "luffing jib"
  21. Some brands use different colors.
  22. It is a platform trailer, modular trailer system in which multiple segments can be assembled together to move large pieces of machinery. look up Goldhofer trailers.
  23. Should answer some questions i saw recently about how large of a footprint the cranes need, it shows weight etc. Like i said more than anyone would probably care to know.
  24. Not sure if anyone is interested, but i like looking at this stuff, here is everything you could want to know about the large crawler crane, as well as the truck mounted crane currently in the parking lot. https://www.sterettcrane.com/pdf/Truck Cranes/Sterett-LTM-1500-164ft.pdf https://www.sterettcrane.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/SKM_C284e16020103080.pdf
  25. That is a Liebherr 1300, lifting capacity of 330 tons, and max boom length of 393 feet.
