You know those top three choices are pretty much the exact same, its either dispise ki for ever or you dont like The Beast. Id be mad but i wouldnt do anything crazy, i wouldnt cry, i wouldnt not come to the park, i wouldnt go homicidal, but i would care.
  2. Its impossible to call a phone inside the park from outside the park unless it is an office. And please tell me you didnt create an account just so you could ask that question.
  3. Does anyone know how to put an image into a post because i have a picture of the original pamphlet from the first year of fearfest on my comp and i want to post it.
  4. I hope they bring back the original theme of, The Eiffel Tower gets struck by lightning, the whole park goes black and out come the ghouls from the depths to roam and prey on the innocent victoms of the park.

It had its days where hour lines could be seen everywhere. Mainly weekends, the best days are mon-wed and some thursdays. The worst days were probably the 2nd and 3rd of july. Absolute zoo all day long.
  6. They have them in wardrobe but they wont give you one unless they see that your job section is Italian Job.
  7. The black shirts were made special, we had to wait a while for them, then they changed the design of them so now we have the black shirts with the two stripes and the patch on the sleve.
  8. Yes where the black ones are 85% Polyester. Theyre like a raincoat, I used to pour a whole glass of water in to the chest pocket just to make a point that no water could leak out, and when i did, Absolutely no water would leak out.
  9. He's right, there is a ton of steel reinforcement on the rosebowl.
  10. Also depending where you are in the train, can controll how good your air time is and where on the hill you recieve it.
  11. The worst is when you're just walking into the park for a shift, and people see you in your uniform and start asking you questions about the ride. How long is the line? Is it open yet? Why did it break down before? You're just like WTF, I just got here, I have no clue.
  12. Technically they are Runaway Mine Train Coasters, but yes with tubular steel rails, they are considered steel.
  13. We wear the grey shirts when the temperature high is supposed to be above 85, black when it is below. Yes we get to keep them, and no you cant them. Also if you havn't noticed we wear different shorts, we wear park issued Cargo Shorts (the same worn in Boomerang Bay). Like any other different uniforms for rides, this will probably be the only year for them.
  14. I dont think it would allow the structure to sway enough and give, causing the ride to be much rougher.
  15. Newsflash! the whole train goes the same speed. Lol Most of those launch noises are dubbed in as part of the soundtrack.
  16. Its because the steel coasters use air bags to close the breaks. After the power is off the air bags can loose pressure causing the breaks to open. The train in the station is secured then the one on the lift is held by gravity and anti rollbacks.
  17. I dont think many people would decide not to come to the park just because there is more scooby doo than spongebob. Granted there would be a few people, but i dont think the dent would be noticable. Becides in the long run the parents make the decision whether or not to bring their kids, though they have heard of spongebob, they probably remember yogi bear a lot more.
  18. With Adventure Express slowly being annexed by coney mall, and Viking Fury being the only ride left in oktoberfest i think that area will be re-themed very soon. The sign isnt even there anymore for oktoberfest as someone ran into it with a park vehicle.
  19. I think just in the back yard of Arrow Dynamics, Im sure they had a lot of space as at the time they were the leading designer of steel coasters. Kind of like how when S&S introduced the thrust air coaster, they built the prototype Thrust Air 2000 in their back yard.
  20. Yeah they still play the phantom theater music on I-Street, when i first heard it i couldnt believe it.
  21. KCKC closed toward the end of the season in 2000, i was there the last day of operation or first of de-construction thinking WTF. They then built a fence in 2001 saying something to the extent of look for a new attraction here in 2002. I heard the same thing about how nothing compares to The Bat. I have been told many times that top gun is the only ride that comes close to The Bat because of top guns speeds. Most of the other suspended coasters are similar to iron dragon, slow and boring. The slower speeds on XLR-8 is what allowed them to turn half of their trains backwards shown here.
  22. I was always told that because the angles on the lifts of The Bat were different than that of The Vortex that they couldnt use them on the lift. Though the stairs are straight they are still pieces. They could have just taken the pieces and put them in a square going up to the block break. Plus Vortex is taller than The Bat was.
  23. ^I agree 100%, the only inversions were corkscrews and as far as I know many models were made and one prototype with just a short piece of track and an inversion but it failed badly.
  24. They didnt count on how far they would actually swing I think this explains it all.
  25. They were produced by rhino productions and theyre old, but they are cool. I bought them at Blockbuster a long time ago.
