  1. I found this amusing error in the app. Or is it not an error and the park won't communicate with us about WindSeeker getting relocated for some reason?
  2. 2 points
The grilled chicken sandwich was the “replacement” for the Double Chicken Sandwich that they had got a few minutes on Pass Preview Day last year. Maybe grilling chicken just isn’t in the park’s wheelhouse now?
  3. Shared that all over FB hu Schell?
  4. I'll stay hydrated, I just want the thing to be as ultra-intense as possible. I'll probably try to lap it 15-20 times to increase my chances of a full blackout. It can't be as bad as 08' Crypt.
  5. Michael Williams the guy from American Idol and The Voice who used to perform at KI and had his own show at KI in 2020 along with rising Cincy area band Telehope played at Busch Gardens Tampa as part of their Food and Wine festival this weekend! If they can perform there, they can obviously perform at KI, but yet the park keeps settling with Hifi Honey and River City for every event entertainment instead of offering more opportunities to other bands. Imo the park should reach out to those 2 artists and have them perform at KI too. They would very likely draw a crowd as both are up and coming especially locally. EDIT: let me be clear: I don't dislike Hifi Honey or River City. In fact, I really like both. I just wish the park would branch out and add more bands instead of settling with the same 2 bands every year. It just isn't fair to the other local bands that would love the chance to play at KI even if it was just one set on one day. That's why I think a Bands in Residence program would be perfect! For Michael Williams and Telehope, I think they're big enough where they could use Timberwolf for them. However, I don't think they would fill the place, but I think they're popular enough locally to where they could fill half of it. However, idk if the ROI is there for that so maybe having them perform on the bandstand or on a temporary stage in the grass near International Showplace like during Banshee Brew Fest years ago would work.
  6. What's interesting is that it looks as if the construction fence is no longer in place.
  7. Yes, a few weeks into last season they changed it. Honestly, they gave you so much food, I was surprised it wasn't that originally. A ton of people got double Orange Chicken (including me ), so they often ran out. I know some people that shared a meal plan and often went there because of the plentiful amount of food you got. Then they were upset that they changed it, because you couldn't really share a meal. But, Meal Plans aren't meant to be shared, so I would say a good decision on KI's part for limiting the food, as there was way to much to begin with. I wasn't complaining though
  8. Looks like Juke Box has removed the grilled chicken sandwich and the patty melt. Tom & Chee has added a Pep and Chee sandwich - a pepperoni/cheese sandwich. Those are the major differences that I see at this moment. There is no shortage of chicken tenders at the park...now which location will have the best out of the 10 locations (including Soak City)?
  9. Okay, thanks for the info! Also: I edited the title since it looks like it’s figured out.
  10. As of today at 0824HRS, Monster appears to still be in pieces surrounded by the blue construction fence. I'd say refurbishment, but it really would be nice to receive an official statement from the park itself seeing as pass holder/park opening are happening in a matter of days.
  11. To be fair people spread misinformation with official posts too. "New for 2016 Kings Mills Antique Autos" ---- random person: "Y'all they announced Son of Beast is coming back! Number Five IS ALIVE!" I say in jest....but honestly thanks for your feedback. I appreciate the expanded thoughts! You're not wrong with this. What we're seeing now is a "are we willing to do the work" and/or "why give any information, people will still come?" It's definitely not the "we value our loyal fans, so we'll share exciting/interesting information that they would love to see," view point.
  12. I'm saying he is not affiliated with running any reputable group. But yes...he has been removed.
  13. I’ll even go a step further to say the park should be making statements in blog posts or directly to their Facebook with changes, not a Facebook group or better yet not even making a post about their height requirements changing and policies shifting which I’ll admit I didn’t even know till I listened to Tower Topics on the way to work yesterday. I 1000% believe he is doing a great job with the FB group, no harm or foul directed to him but for those who aren’t in the group like how I was for years before joining last year, they wouldn’t have a direct answer and hear a rumor. I’ll be the first one to say it was because of his post that I called my aunt who lives in Portland about her favorite ride being shut down, then had to recant after hearing the reality of it all. The point I’m making here is that it does not take more than 5-10 minutes to make a simple blog about changes to park operations and if PR doesn’t have time to do that then KI management needs to review what they are actually doing because that’s the whole point of the job: communicate news about the park and get guests to be enthused about the park so they have a new reason or a reflection to revisit the park.
  14. If you ain't first you're last!
  15. You have no idea how critically close we were to losing the nightly fireworks... For that reason alone, I'm okay with it.
