  1. I wish there were more topiaries in the park. The landscaping of the park at one point could have been considered an attraction itself.
  2. BREAKING NEWS: Kings Island Announces Major Changes for 2025 Season! In a thrilling update, Kings Island has just confirmed two of their most iconic roller coasters will undergo significant changes for the upcoming season: Racer Will Now Run Backwards : Starting this spring, the iconic Racer coaster will be running in reverse! Get ready for an all-new experience as riders will travel backward through the legendary airtime hills, providing a whole new level of thrill and confusion. Hold on tight, because the nostalgia will be flipped on its head! The Beast Goes Trimless : In a move that has shocked coaster fans everywhere, Kings Island has announced that The Beast will run without trims for the first time in history! Experience the full, wild, and untamed forces of the woods as The Beast’s intense drops, high-speed turns, and massive airtime moments will now go uninterrupted! No slowing down—just pure, unadulterated speed and airtime! But before you start packing your bags, it’s time for a little reality check… APRIL FOOLS! As much as we’d love to see The Beast at full throttle or Racer running backward, we’re keeping the classics just the way you love them. Thanks for playing along, and we’ll see you at Kings Island for a season full of thrilling rides! Someone had to LOL
  3. Honestly, I don’t think most kids today could read the clock anyway. Yes, I’ve come across this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I think a fun and innovative addition could be a smaller river rapids ride between Tidal Wave Bay and River Racers, behind Breakers Bay. It would be shorter than White Water Canyon, but would provide a new experience for waterpark guests and a new island for more attractions in the center. The biggest issues I can foresee are space and the lack of tree coverage. My initial concept below includes the removal of Tropical Twister and some cabanas (replaced elsewhere). Additions include: a new river rapids attraction (described above), a new station building for the KI&MVRR (where Tropical Twister was), a new food stand or shop near Splash River and the Zoom Flume, a couple of new slides/attractions within the river rapids footprint, and a new path connecting Stormwater Bay (Tidal Wave Bay) to River Racers. Most of this would coincide with the overdue retheme of Soak City into Wildwater Junction. The theming would move away from "generic loose tropical" and more toward "local watering holes and wild riverside play places". It could play into the area's river history while being upgraded since it is now the only big waterpark in the immediate area. I decided to go with the name Wildwater Junction instead of something like Waterworks because Waterworks sounds more like a municipal plant and some of the other options don't feel like they would fit as well.
  5. There's certainly some amount of room on the bottom (long closed) observation deck, but that would surely be too good of an experience for the park to offer (/s). Also, I know Six Flags is purging a lot of employees, but is there really nobody in the office who can photoshop something over a real picture of the Eiffel Tower? I can't dictate if places are allowed to use AI to make stuff, but Cedar Point's April Fools joke looked like it had a little more effort put into the images than just typing the prompt, generating, and posting. Despite all of the AI, I did enjoy the April Fools joke on the Season Passholder page as well lol.
  6. You know you’re truly in the Six Flags era when the park starts teasing about positive, added experiences for guests.
  7. As a matter of fact, that's why the Guest Services brought me a special surprise after I got my 500th ride last June....it did in fact consist of Adventure Express sticker, Adventure Express t-shirt (official) plus my first ever airbrushed Adventure Express t-shirt with 500 rides on it....and yes, temporary commemorative ride sign (certificate with Sycamore Gem Mine (Tunnel #1) that I got.....then in October 1 hour before Sunday Night Halloween Haunt started, the Guest Services had a special late surprise for me....Yes, my second new commemorative ride sign (wood plaque with new Adventure Express logo in red & gold colors to match the ride) for my 500th ride (June 24th, 2024) with Adventure Express...so definitely better late than never. I have a picture of my new commemorative ride sign.......there it is right there.
  8. That 50' platform sure has space..but ADA access is not there, and the elevators do not stop there.
  9. I will be interested to see if Banshee runs 2 or 3 trains this year. I think after all the issues it might be only 2 trains and a lot of the time it does end up stacking in the station so it does not really matter whether there are 2 or 3 trains.
  10. I find it amusing that they turned on the I street cam for just a moment to capture a new shot of there being no snow and a sunny day (just after the dismantling of the ice rink, they turned off the I street cam to likely block construction view progress of the new gift shop and bar). The new still shot may fool some when thinking the I street cam is on when it’s not, especially since all snow has melted from the former still shot. Note in the new I street cam shot (likely taken a few weeks ago) still shows the Winterfest sign out front and you can see all the building construction over on the right.
  11. Just possible enough with The Racer to get me.
  12. Honestly The Racer going backwards would be a great return, not going to lie I did fall for the April Fools Day prank!
  13. This was the blue ice cream I got there a few years back.
  14. "For the first time in park history, we're also going to provide blue ice cream here in Soak City waterpark" There's a snack stand next to the Soak City entrance called "Calypso Coolers" and they have blue ice cream. I've only been to Soak City once in the last decade and even I know more about it than the park's PR team.
  15. I mean, I’d say we understand that there isn’t room up there, but in looking at some of the comments on Instagram this morning it looks like a lot of people thought it was legit. It’s not a wildly crazy concept given our proximity to opening day and the fact that the real ET offers dining… I’m all about a good joke, some have said I am one. But kind of a weird one that might mislead followers.
  16. Is there even a room up there? I always thought it was the elevator shaft.
  17. When I saw the title I was like "YESSS!" and then I read the post. You got my hopes up!
  18. To add to April Fools, KI got in on the action
  19. Missouri Jane is up to some mischief with the fountains and clock. Tired of scaring people at WWC.
  20. Very few people outside enthusiast community know that Superman exists, let alone travel all the way to California to ride it. There's no "outshining" when it can't shine that far. They just happened to overhaul TTD at the right time and that's why it's still standing, in my opinion, Ka may have received the same treatment if TT2 hadn't fallen flat on its face in a puddle of mud. And probably most importantly, Falcon's Flight is opening soon so TT2 (if it ever reopens) will have been king for just about a couple months. It's called a business, they'll do what they can to make money, Cedar Point is the profit child and so they'll pump investment in it. Having more, possibly better coasters doesn't make a better all around park. Cedar Point's landscaping, atmosphere and theming for attractions is far inferior to KI. I get it's frustrating that The Vortex plot has been sitting untouched, but we just received the Camp Snoopy overhaul and a new coaster with it. Just because our small niche isn't the demographic Camp Snoopy is targeted at doesn't make that investment a failure and a waste of time. Excuse the rant, conspiracy theories just tend to annoy me.
  21. Well, here we are 2 years later and we're getting a Soak City expansion for 2025. I made this for another future expansion, here is the details. 1. Black area is where the most likely they could expand. 2. Orange is for the new road. 3. Light Blue is for new parking spots. 4. Yellow is where the fort and house is, plus the train tracks I doubt this will happen, but this is land that they could use.
  22. Actually, I use my LogRide app on my Android phone that keeps track of my rides like Adventure Express...... that's why I got my 500 rides last June 2024 (on a Monday Night) with the Express so now I'm at 1,649.... I should be able to hit 2,000th ride this Spring/Summer 2025 (hopefully within the next few months or so).....One of the pass members at Kings Island recommended me about the LogRide app and I've learned a lot since 2022..... so the LogRide app works well to my advantage and I'm glad to say this is a very helpful tool as part of the technology to use on my phone. Aside from Adventure Express, when I ride the other rides including The Bat & The Beast.....that's when I use my app to indicate how many rides I do in one day. As for my Adventure Express swag bag the Guest Services brought me after my 500th ride....it's a paper bag with 500 rides written on it for Adventure Express though.... so therefore, still plenty of time to be able to reach my 2,000th ride although I got great advice from the Guest Services to take a step at a time when I do ride Adventure Express..... I know that I got this....once I hit 2,000th ride this Spring/Summer 2025 (hopefully within the next few months), I will keep you all posted.
  23. Yes, me neither. How do they know you're legit?
  24. I had no idea they gave out Swag-bags for ride records.
  25. I rode the Adventure Express the first time in 1991 at Kings Island although I started at 5 lifetime rides since I made my big return to the reality of riding the roller coasters back in 2022 just three years ago....and when Adventure Port opened two years ago in 2023, that's when I've finally returned to riding Adventure Express.....this past June 2024, I did in fact realized that I got my 500 lifetime rides in resulted in getting my Adventure Express swag bag (consists of Adventure Express sticker, Adventure Express t-shirt along with my first ever airbrushed t-shirt with 500 Rides Adventure Express on it and yes, got a temporary ride certificate with Adventure Express for my 500 rides featuring the Sycamore Gem Mine Tunnel (Tunnel #1)..... I've racked up 714 rides (615 in the 2024 regular season--New Record & added another 99 rides during Halloween Haunt)....with my lifetime rides at 935 so right now that my total is at 1,649 lifetime rides with 351 rides away to my 2,000th ride which takes place later this Spring/Summer 2025. Then just this past October, I've received my second commemorative ride sign (first ever on roller coaster) with Adventure Express 500 Rides with my name and date on it....Now that I'm inching toward another goal of 2,000 rides.
  26. They served soft serve, but they did not serve the Blue Ice Cream. I think it is more dole whip like.
