  1. I appear once again! Photo from Cincinatired
  2. Let's see, Sandy was pushed out of Cracker Barrel as their stock has tanked since 2021. Michael has seen Virgin stock tank from a high of $1,000 per share to the current trading value of $3. Virgin has been practically non-existent in the space domain. Felipe hasn't seen good stock returns at current employer. Stephen runs an investment firm. I think Felipe and Stephen would be open to selling off to private equity.
  3. Yes, Kings Island used to send out advisories to the media and provided statements when asked about new policies. https://www.wlwt.com/article/kings-island-enacts-new-ride-policy-for-disabled-guests/3532362 Here's a statement that was provided to the media in 2013 when asked about a policy change: In an effort to provide all of our guests with equal opportunity and access, Kings Island offers a uniform boarding pass with an anticipated wait time for riders with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders) and mobility impairments. We are proud of our reputation for accommodating guests with all types of disabilities through our Ride Admissions Policy. As referenced in our Guest Assistance Guide, we offer a Boarding Pass to allow our guests with ASD and mobility impairments use of an alternate access to board our attractions with up to three companions. The boarding pass will allow a guest to receive a boarding time at attractions, which is equal to the anticipated wait time of a particular ride. By using a Boarding Pass, guests with ASD and mobility impairments are able to enjoy our attractions without having to wait in line.
  4. Yes. A quick Google search yields dozens of articles about Six Flags and other chains implementing systems like this. It takes a fair amount of planning to utilize this program. The program requires getting the pass and having a doctor’s note. You can’t just register at Guest Services. Not putting this out there as early as possible is a huge disservice to guests who are affected by different abilities. Many will be disappointed who do not have this new policy properly communicated to them and get turned away from the needed accommodations.
  5. Hopefully this year's return of Grand Carnivale will also bring back the tasting cards. My favorite part of Carnivale 2023 was the tasting card for 10 items, especially since I could use it over multiple visits! I miss Hot Summer Nights/Royal Rhythms from 2019 and 2021, or just having a live band on Bandstand for that matter. Few moments beat getting to join the conga line as they played "Hot Hot Hot"! I agree that I-Street needs the orchestral music back (NOT the covers that played 2020-21). The jazz was cool but my KD visit last April revealed just how much I miss hearing those beautiful orchestral pieces on our I-Street. This is a long shot at this point, but I still have a tiny shred of hope for Eiffel Tower and WindSeeker to be able to stay open for the fireworks again, sometime in the future. I understand the lasers and drones prohibit their operation during recent shows and that would require a significant change, but I dearly miss being able to watch the fireworks from nearly 300 feet up. Not to mention that unique opportunity had set KI's fireworks experience apart from the others. From my personal experience, WindSeeker fireworks rides are a core memory from when Vortex was still here, and I loved still getting to experience them after Vortex left...at least through 2021. Chalk it up to nostalgia, but I really want those fireworks rides back...
  6. Well, I guess looking at it that way makes it seem unlikely. But on the other hand, what better way to replace a fully immersive, one of a kind, dark ride experience that was once at the top of KIs investment costs with another one?
  7. ICYMI Kings Island, along with the rest of the Cedar Fair legacy parks have adopted the same disability system as the legacy Six Flags parks. If this affects your party, it’s important that you have the information before you go because it involves pre-registration. We reached out to the park spokesperson, Chad Showalter, but he chose not to respond, despite the communication of this information being critical to those affected. Check out our Tower Topics on this: For more information: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/accessibility
  8. Thats a no for me. I could get behind a scream n swing or even a super boomerang (which would make up for a potential loss of Invertigo. But id rather not a free spin.
  9. Wouldn't mind this at all. Wouldn't be stoked, but I think it would be a worthy addition considering that it replaced EXtreme Skyflyer. It's an upgrade in my book. Can't seem to fit this into the "family thrill attraction" category, though. The question is, what theme would they choose?
  10. Themed to concrete? I don't know how much they'll do down the line, but this could be a good transition of the area into a new theme....spooky vs non-"Action Zone." Kind of like Jungle X at KD....Tumbili was the beginning of the area's transformation. Though I'd want KI's version to be the bigger model.
  11. I doubt Mike would go for this but I wouldn’t complain if we got something like this. As long as it came with an Action Zone retheme.
  12. I feel like that would be super maintenance heavy especially with the trains, so I do not see them doing something like that. But never say never.
  13. Esi-SFL Michelle-CFL D.-CFL Enrique-SFL The four who are leaving the board are weighted equally between the legacy boards. In that sense, the disturbance in the force shall not be maximized towards either legacy. But the four newbies...will they steer one way or the other? Will they be an in for a spin off or sell off to private equity down the road?
  14. Like everything, there are always two sides. The official press release says they decided to resign... After successfully seeing the company through the first year post-merger, current directors Esi Eggleston Bracey, Michelle McKinney Frymire, D. Scott Olivet, and Enrique Ramirez Mena have each decided to resign from the Board in connection with the 2025 Annual Meeting. As such, the Six Flags Board will continue to comprise 12 directors, 10 of whom are independent. https://investors.sixflags.com/news/press-releases/press-release-details/2025/Six-Flags-Announces-Nomination-of-Four-New-Independent-Directors/
  15. They are being forced out. https://www.semafor.com/article/03/10/2025/six-flags-dendur-strike-deal-for-four-board-seats
  16. Has Kings Island or any legacy CF or SF made a statement about the alternate access program in the past?
  17. Pretty much my experience with 3D as a whole. I guess I don't have the eyes for it. I remember one year in the '90s, NBC aired a lineup of 3D episodes for some of their sitcoms (including 3rd Rock From the Sun) where you had to buy a case of pop to get the glasses. Not only did the effect not work, but it gave me such a headache.
  18. I'd take an RMC raptor! I know the raptors gets lots of hate, but I really enjoyed my ride on Stunt Pilot at Silverwood. Totally would like to see one at KI. Would it fit well with the park? Probably not. It would look more like a legacy Six Flags park. Would it be fun to have a raptor at my home park and get some sick ejector airtime in the back row? Yes, definitely yes! Side note: only Railblazer (2018) and Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster (2018) would count. I guess they're not technically clones, because they are mirrored, but in my book they count. Jersey Devil, Wonder Woman Flight of Courage, and Stunt Pilot came out in 2021, so not that far after the 2010's
  19. Vortex plot would have been a nice spot for Siren's Curse.......
