Word from under the Black Hat is that Invertigo will debut in 2012 with a new color scheme. I've heard the track is going to be blue.

I don't think anyone's walked up to the front entrance and turned around because the colors of Invertigo weren't welcoming. I'm more disappointed that Boddah1994 claims this is from under the black hat yet doesn't update his blog of the same name.

I was wondering what type of coaster you think KI needs next? Really, I think KI should either get a woodie, stand-up, or a wing coaster.

I totally agree with you on this. Unfortunately, it's a sign of the times in regards to society these days. People expect everybody else to do the work for them. Nobody likes to take the initiative anymore and do it themselves. I am completely different. I always try to find the information myself and only after exhausting all of my options and coming up empty would I actually call them up to ask about things such ticket prices or opening day. I don't know, I guess that's how I was raised. But I guess I'm part of a dying breed. And I'm not even that old!

So they had enough leftover paint to paint an entire coaster? Wow that's some real over calculating!

Sometimes I like to agree with the trolls it seems to make them forget what to say next.

I hope they give Action Zone more love in general. I like the new paint job - even though it seems to be the paint of the year here for Cedar Fair, it's still much better than faded yellow and pink. It and the rest of AZ need a lot more attention, Action Zone seems like a flat sprawl of concrete with some neglected, under themed rides at random points along it's concrete radius. Boomerang Bay has been having similar underthemed and overpaved issues lately, I hope the Soak City overhaul fixes that.

The color scheme of it and Drop Tower work well together. Even if they didn't, who cares? People would complain no matter how it's painted.

Your right. The more and more I go on the more and more I get impatient with these people. Also I hate when people ask questions like, "Are you open then?" "Whens opening day?" "How much do tickets cost?" or something like that. Thats what the website is for....

Do yourself a favor and don't go on Kings Island's Facebook. Or any theme parks' (though Six Flags and many others are smart enough to not have the "fan" discussion be visible from the main page, instead opting for only official status updates to be initially visible). We're talking about a population who can't be corrected. Tell them all you want that Backlot Stunt Coaster does not go upside down - they'll say you're wrong. And with the anonymity of the internet, they'll likely insult you in the process. It's best to just stay off of the Facebook page of something you find great personal enjoyment in - you'll only upset yourself by seeing the opinions and naïveté. Truthfully, it's probably best to stay off of Facebook altogether.

Blue on blue. Makes for a happy color scheme! Hahha. The entrance plaza will definitely feel different now, but at least it's getting attention.

What was that Ouimet said about being more engaging with visitors? More accessible online presence? And this season, Cedar Point will feature never-frozen burgers, an open line of sight down the Millennium midway, and a nighttime light show that (in true Disney styling) is called "Luminosity" that is expected to trickle to other parks as success is proven. And no one could overlook the other "Disney-esque" benefit for people staying onsite, who get into the park a half hour early...

I am not familiar with a "generic shark"...I guess i'll have to pay more attention during "Shark Week". Seriously though, thanks for the confirmation...in hindsight I should have thought of it...but I didn't! Well, to be technical, I think it was a sharkus cartoonus.

I miss all the trees in Rivertown. They should just remove The Crypt and put a pond back in, and a log flume

These Picture are awsome!! Great work. I love coming to this thread everyday and seeing a new picture, They are all great! I really neat one would be the Action Zone now and then how it looked before. But great work! I look forward to these picture, Its really neat what your doing.

I could almost smell the water and feel the spray from that picture of Keelboat Kanal (waay back a few posts)! To see how that area has changed is somewhat 'Twilight Zone' to me. That was my first-ever 'drop' ride back in 1980. It was as intimidating as it looks in this view. (Great job capturing virtually every color in the spectrum with the 'modern' shot... had it not been for that purple flower, you might not have pulled it off! Awesome, very meaningful thread, Standbyme!

I really liked today's comparison. As for which year I'd pick, there's no comparison!

Even if you used that criteria, Blazing Fury would not be a roller coaster...though it's almost unanimously agreed that it is....
